Maybe.....The steamboat is fired up and the paddle wheel is turning and "Don't Stop Me Now".....things are rolling along nicely.
I guess Proud Mary would be the boiler! I never thought about that before.....
I was born on a bluff overlooking the Mississippi River and saw paddle wheelers churning up the river.....of course they were usually full of tourists....I'm not THAT old! No cotton bales or riverboat gamblers.
Hmmmm... I say either JAK's interpretation (likely). Or, possibly a boat trip on the Rhine river from Hamburg; which has a popular port (a little less likely, but a thought).
As I recall, some of those boats resemble boats from the Mississippi, and boasts similar style river trips. I took one myself from Hamburg years ago...
Whatever it means... It's a cute post. I'll bet it's fun for him to be a bit mysterious and keep folks guessing. ;)
