Vienna Concert Review

Translated from Bosnian/Croation to English via Google Translate... (wish we had a better translation but either way, it's a flattering review..)..

"Queen and Adam Lambert in Vienna: the most faithful ode to Freddie King"

"Twenty-four years since the death of Freddie Mercury and forty-five years since the foundation of Queen, Brian May and Roger Taylor, as the only two members of the original lineup to keep going, and giving people a quarter century after what seemed at the end of the experience of one of the largest rock bands. After Paul Rodgers Microphone decide to set up and so far najdostojniju exchange for the recollection of Freddie - 33-three-year Adam Lambert, pop-rock vocals of whom were in Vienna the first day of February quiver with fear and prejudice all fell into the water."

02/04/2015 "

When in 2009 stood before the jury and cameras American Idol audition, and then sang the opening lines of Bohemian Rhapsody, Adam Lambert certainly did not realize that six years later be vocalist of the legendary b (r) enda, or help them win the prize of the best band years. In the final talent show, which is due to his homosexuality lost to Khris Allen, the first time the times shared the stage with Queen, singing "We Are The Champions", not knowing that so itself predicts the future. Three years later appearances in front of millions in Moscow, Kiev and London, to the end of 2014 the band without Freddie and John Deacon ventured into glam tour with lead vocal today on a world tour reminders, but not imitation."

"Although it did not seek, Adam appeared as a dignified and worthy replacement for Freddie no tendency copy Freddie's extravagance or flambojantnosti that, as well as his innate character possesses natural entertainers. As a manager experience, the young singer confidently gliding stage from the opening "One Vision" and projected all his dramatic shaped Broadway swagger through songs like "Killer Queen" or "Break Free" in their appropriate Baroque production. Royal band requirements, but also provides the royal treatment which is the crowning proof rugged stage with its three platforms and oversized hydraulic screen to sentimental and not at all harmless audience aesthetic meet. Here laurels to natural behavior for the stage, but the audience for the inherent sense of mass leaving Lambert as a showman par excellence. Sorry, royal entertainer! In his somewhat theatrically-a comedy, but by no means ridiculous speech and communication suggests knowledge of the pulse of the audience, but also the pulse hardened fans of the character Freddie just waiting on the wrong move to make him crucified, as is the case on the Internet where it those who did not see quick to condemn. But the Viennese case, as well as the previous station, the current tour, confirm sincere immediacy young vocalists cheerful approach to life. The singer finally Viennese audience blessing after thanksgiving for acceptance, giving a green light and two thumbs up for no acknowledgments role. Lambert himself under pressure fetishization of legend and myth totemizacije, under the pressure of mass delusion about replacing Mercury, but you should know that he is not a new frontman of Queen, but the voice that recalls the band's legacy still lives."

"Moreover, Queen 2015, many will blame, reveals its neglected side, particularly those names Brian May who is for the time of the original team was in Freddiejevoj shadow, while still gets the opportunity to show the full tone and voice. Therefore, the Queen is not Adam Lambert, but are Brian May and Roger Taylor. In the middle of the concert, guitarist modest intimate and acoustically reveals private individuals astro-physicists, storytellers and singers, as well as an introduction to Einstein's twin paradox bare sits in the middle of the audience to deeply conducted runway where after the story, like a shaman or benign grandpa surrounded by grandchildren, singing Love of My Life. Quite unexpectedly, the back of his points colossal projection Freddie, whose voice completes the pathos of the moment and, instead of collective euphoria, provoking tears sliding down the face of two generations of audiences."

"Two generations have found themselves on stage for two sets of drums. Roger Taylor and his son Rufus same, according to Brian's acoustic set and playing string instruments, entering into an unexpected clash of drums. Sljubivši so past with the present Queen, Taylor announces young blood in the band, and she rounds from the same biological and sonick family. Young Rufus, except as outrageous image of his father, equally masterfully takes the baton and compete with the legend that after bubnjarskog of Performance ascends to the throne before the colossal circle of light and transmits the lyrics It's a Kind of Magic. Reactions are expected approvingly because of sentimentality and nostalgia mediated, although Taylor did not even knee curly guitarist, let alone who had been as vocal and three octaves. But that is all a good show and that show must go on, confirms Lambert. After lascivious movement in the first two sets in leather jacket and a little steampunk release, the third part begins with Tie Your Mother Down in pure punk outfit and flirts with the audience in the form of collective singing, and then the famous bouncing and clapping "Radio Ga Ga". The two-hour time machine ends monumental Bohemian Rhapsody with Lambert-opening introductory verses, to be donated and moved confuse giant on the very movable, light portal in retro-utopia, that thirteen thousand souls from across the former Empire enthusiastically and unanimously supported. The young glam-rocker returns to the finals where verses alternating with unparalleled his example and shows you exactly side by Freddie that does not pretend to be him. Vocal and stylistically different, Adam reigns supreme stage cultivating all the qualities of Freddie Mercury, with no intention of imitation, no matter how the sincerest form of flattery."

"Own mannerisms camp, Lambert is set as the perfect choice for Mercury`s work, and in his style and vocal presentation does not possess that quality of what masculinity is, despite his flamboyance and excess, Freddie radiated. Moreover, Glambert, as he is called fan base, not adorned with rough texture resulting from the chest, but softer and gentler vocal, should not shrink from the fact, at times moving and Freddie's borders, as confirmed by the Brian May. In a suit leotard with a well-deserved crown on her head, Adam Lambert comes out for an encore driven by a three-beat rhythmic blows the audience to We Will Rock You. Shows of the 25 stations through queenovsku past rounds off with stadium bestseller We Are The Champions, acknowledging so as playboy glam rock grandiose voice worthy of invocation mustache king."

I'm the first, hmm, I've never had this privilege.
Dear Adam's fans, dear Queen's fans, dear lovers of the project who are still debating which replacement is better, who are still comparing apples and pears, don't miss their tour, it is a unique experience, a tour to remember. And a piece of advice, don't waste too much time on reading useless reviews, go and listen/see the miracle for yourselves! This time with Adam. And it is great.
Never, ever a vid, however good it may be, will ever capture the magic of a live concert:the marvel vocalist, singing his heart out in Who Wants..., or Save Me, swaggering on the stage, catwalk in Somebody..., bidding an energetic but heartrending(for me) farewell, We Will(always) Rock You, giving a perfect performance of the "Freddiest" of all the songs, Killer Queen. And to his lady fans' despair, the easily-scared ones , lol he jumps down the stage, as in London 2 years ago, and interconnects with his loving, appreciative fans.Brian's fast-paced solos and riffs are faster , the drum battle is more impressive, the sweet, jazzy sound of the bass is sweeter. You'll never know how joyful, sincere, the audience participation to this kind of magic is, , you'll never become aware how grandiose the stage is, how magnifique Brian and Adam are playing Who Wants... under the almost unearthly ball of lights!

I do believe the reviewer did attend and appreciated the live experience. There are certain reviews that make me wonder if they really attended or just looked at notes to conjuure up a review they thought Queen purists expected. Those same purists who wouldn't attend anyway. Live is best, as I can attest, and each night appears to have their own special nuances to make them different and special. Go, participate, you won't be disappointed.

What isn't understood about Queen + Adam Lambert?
Adam is not a new member of Queen, he's billed as himself.....so why do so many reviews spend time comparing him to Freddie....he's not replacing him.
This was a mostly fair review.....but some put my teeth on edge.
