ATTITUDE MAGAZINE (UK) has published an 11 page article/interview/photo shoot with Adam Lambert featured on the cover!!! It's an in-depth, informative, introspective interview that is an absolute MUST-READ for everyone!!! Adam talks about his new music, his evolving personal style in both music and fashion, his journey from Idol to his new label and new upcoming album "The Original High".. And he gives us some insight into his reasons for choosing that title.. And he gives us just a few more hints about some of the other music on the album..

Quotes from the article "ADAM LAMBERT: From Idol To Icon" re "The Original High", the title track and album title: Adam explains his inspiration behind both the title track and the album itself...

Photo credit: Adam Lambert from Attitude Magazine Photo Shoot

Selected Excerpts: (read more within the article...)

...."What I realized is that a lot of us experience these things for the first time, these highs, these milestones of adrenaline, and we spend the rest of the time trying to create that first high. While there is something quite sweet about that, nostalgia's great, it's also living in the past and it's not moving forwards. So I wrote that song, the title track, with these producers I was working with [Max Martin and Shellback], and I was so excited because it really hits the nail on the head in a very simple way." ......

....."It felt like a good way to sum up the songs, because all the songs are about a high, whether it's come or gone. It's also a full circle moment with Max, The Original High: Whataya You Want From Me is a song a lot of people first heard from me, so it's coming back around in a circle to that setup with Max, and it also captures what I love about performing in the first place.."....

......"That's why I do this, I want to connect with people, I want to entertain people. I want to take a gift that I was given and share it. So this album, in many ways, feels like a first album, in the way it was put together, in the way it was written, in the way it was sung. It feels new. Virginal."

Just beautiful! Is that a scary bug on Adam's Tee shirt? Is it real?

I prefer that to the green snake!

Lol, JAK... From what a recall Adam saying about his thoughts on the snake in that RS shoot.... I think he does, too. ;)

I downloaded the magazine. Great interview with lots of pictures and videos embedded in the 11 page article about Adam's new music. Adam is so on point with his responses. Loved it!

When was his hair that long? All through Qual he had it short, and kept it short. I wonder if that is all his own hair, or if they added some for the shoot.

Were those typos in the excerpt from the magazine also in the magazine?

Wow, Adam is actually really good in interviews. What he says sounds so professional. When he talks it's not filled with, "uh" or "like." Language wise, it sounds somewhat poetic. I like a man who can talk big. Dayum.

The magazine is so upset at fans copying their magazine. These are the things fans do that it taints Adam's image in the industry. Stop copying original sources from music to pics to videos to articles.

@Ravi1978 brought new @adamlambert over for us to hear. Listening now w/ @luvelizabethany... "my heart is a ghost town..."

Regarding @adamlambert #GhostTown... you will whistle. It has acoustic guitars which blend into something very Disclosure-esque.

#GhostTown @adamlambert has great lyrics, and Adam SINGS - shows off how great his voice without over-singing! You can hear Max influence

4:50 PM, apparently they don't understand what copyright means.

It took me few seconds to download it on my iPad air 2. Very nice. Two videos and lots of great pictures. I might check out some his designer outfits. Love the jacket. Adam's interview was great with lots of new Infos.

Love Adam in a plain whiteT, both in this pic, and on the last tour with the tartan pants.

Then fans whine why Adam isn't on magazine cover or award shows. Well fans should stop getting free rides if they want their idol everywhere. Support Adam. Don't rein it for him by copying his products.

About copyright:

This is an **excerpt** from the article.. Quoted excerpts are permitted.. It is not the entire article by any stretch.. The rest of the article and ways of obtaining it are clearly linked here.. And have been in several different places on the blog..

I know that complete sets of scans of the article are being deleted by the magazine.. That's only fair. If they choose to delete this excerpt from 24/7, so be it..

This excerpt is meant to generate more interest in the entire article/interview, which is QUITE extensive.. And to let us fans know just a little bit about what Adam was thinking when he was going through the process of creating his new music..

We have not linked this blog post to any full scans of the article or any other source of the full article, many of which are posted on various blogs. I said previously here on 24/7 that I would not do that. The magazine was removing those as they are found.... I typed it directly from the download of the article that I bought from the Attitude Magazine iTunes app..

And by the way, to the one asking about "typos": This was exactly the format (spelling, punctuation, etc..) from the article, other than changing the spelling of one word from the British spelling to American English (my spell check was having a fit about the spelling..)..

If we receive direction to delete this blog post, we'll do it of course..

I'm not impressed with a magazine with those kinds of typos.

@4:27
Why would you ask that?
Do you think someone rewrote that excerpt by hand? Lol.

Articles and online publications have mistakes and typos all the time (spell checked or not).

Preorder done.

Personally, I care a whole lot more about the wonderful interview in Attitude Magazine than I do about perceived "typos"....

"perceived"

Is the excerpt here shorter now or am I going crazy?

Anonymous said...

It's an English from UK publication. UK people spell some words differently than US people.

@Anne Marie, Adam's hair seems to grow pretty fast. When he was on the QAL tour, it seemed like you could tell he got a haircut by how short the sides got, then a few concert dates later it seemed to be back the way it was. LOL It would be interesting to know when exactly they did this photo shoot. I suspect the hair styling products Adam uses help keep his hair slicked back to an extent, so maybe we don't really know how long it is on the top/front. ;)

I will have to figure out how to buy this issue. Am really enjoying the pics I've seen and the snippets shared with us here. I'm so excited for the new single and album that I can hardly stand it!

Go to fudge.com to check their fabulous hair products. I don't know which products the stylist used on Adam but I love some of the things they sell on their website.

5:53 PM, you aren't crazy, I think it has been changed a couple of times.

Adam had longer hair when he performed with Queen NYE on BBC. I just watched the recording of the show. So he must have done the photo shoot either before or after NYE. The timing would be about right too. His hair was longer on top with the curl on his forehead.

That scary bug looks like the Dior Homme bee logo for their line of clothing. Looks kinda cute to me ;))

In a very early post-Idol interview, Adam was asked about his hair, and I remember him saying, "I'm a grower." LOL
