Adam Lambert Happy For Sam Smith's Easy Coming Out

Out singer Adam Lambert is happy for
Sam Smith's uncontroversial coming out.
Lambert covers UK gay glossy Attitude's
May issue.
The 11-page spread includes an
interview in which Lambert gushes about the Grammy winner.
“Sam Smith, hats off, he has had an
amazing year, he's a lovely guy,” Lambert
said. “I've met him a few times. I'm so happy for him, and
I'm so happy his sexuality wasn't a big thorn in his side. It was
just: 'This is who I am, I'm cool with it and so you should be too.'
And his songs are timeless and beautiful, and everybody relates to
them. He's doing it right, for sure.”
When asked about a fraternity among gay
artists, Lambert answered they're “building a little clique.”
“I think with me and Sam, there's
definitely an understanding there, like: ‘Hey gurl, how you doing?’
[laughs] But you know, there’s only a few of us actually, on a
mainstream level. I think we’re building a little clique, I hope,
but I haven’t met that many. I mean, Elton John is amazing, what a
sweetheart, and Boy George is also incredible. I’ve sat down and
had lunch with him before, he’s so smart and has been though A LOT,
and now he’s in a really good, healthy space, and loves music and
is DJing and is still really connected to pop culture. He was really
interesting to talk to.”

I think Adam should stop repeating Sam Smith's name in his interviews. I don't think they have much in common and there's no such thing as a gay clique.
I think that Adam mostly mentions SS's name in the UK, as he did all the UK entertainers in this article, and gave them wonderful compliments. I think he was just being gracious since he is becoming well known over there.
I do believe Adam knows exactly what he is doing with this charm offensive. I do believe there is a method to our man's madness; even though we may not see it now.
I believe it will pay off as he works his way through the shark infested waters of the entertainment business, until he reaches his rightful place at the top of the heap!
Kill them with kindness, so to speak.
Even though it does get upsetting when SS never seems to return the compliments. But, I trust in Adam and have faith that he is very much in control of what he is doing! You know, he is kind of smart like that!! Just Saying!
I think that Sam Smith is somewhat of a snob, and thinks that his voice is superior to that of Adam's. If that is the case; he will one day get a rude awakening!
Are you people reading all the Sam Smith interviews to see who he mentions?
Really petty to complain about Adam being a nice guy.
Sam Smith has a great voice ... and he was praised 4 Grammy ...I^m happy for Sam Smith too...
Adam is free man, he can give a compliment whoever he wants.
He likes Sam Smith music and he likes him as a man. He met him a few times and he has been to Sam's concert.
How you all will feel if somebody prohibited you do what you like?
No body is prohibiting Adam from doing anything from the posts that I have just read! I don't think anyone said they were not happy for Sam either. At least I did not see that.
But, I must say some of you that are jumping on other posters that have expressed their views in regards to how they feel about Sam or Adam's reactions; are out of line, in my opinion.
A fan accusing other fans of being petty because their views differ from their own, might want to examine their own behavior. Just saying!
Everyone posting on here has a right to express their opinions, whether you agree with them or not. As long as it's done respectfully; what's the harm.
I am here for Adam Lambert; just love him; and the wonderful man that he is. He is going to be who he is; no one can change him or make decisions for him anyway unless he himself wants it to happen!!
Jealousy is not a nice trait.
I'm sure Sam's coming out wasn't "easy". People are putting words in Adam's mouth and Sam's.
