Whoa, this Lambert Virus reminds me of my vicious virus which Adam grappled with sleeping on his killer-couch. He gave that vicious virus a real thrashing. lol! So another virus...Mmm must be his Original High gone viral! Like Killer Queen, Original High will thrash this good virus to the ground and then throw it up into the air and swirl it all over the sky wheeeee...plop! #1 on the charts. lol!

I'm a new fan of Adam. I like the new teaser of his new song. Is his past music similar to that sound? Can someone recommend me a sound similar to his new sound? Thx

Not offhand but have you heard Adam's 2 albums - "For Your Entertainment" and "Trespassing". They are SUPERB!!!

8:54.....Welcome New fan...You don't know what you are getting into lol! Hang in there lwl! This snippet is a bit different from his previous albums but still too early to tell because it's just one snippet of one song. In any case his previous albums are so diverse in nature...so listening to the first snippet is just a very very faint shadow of what Original High will bring. But Adam's songs are all very high-energy based and on top of that, his voice will melt everything down like liquid gold. lwl! I like the bongos and base drums and the flute-like / harpsicord combinations; tropical islands effect, polynesian / native-like.

The snippet has an Adam riding into the west on a trusty steed vibe. :)

Ghost Town suggests a deserted place, now that offers a different dimension, opposed to my earlier suggestion of a sunny tropical island as painted by the bongos/drums/harpsicord. Come on Adam...sing a couple of lines; ahh you know us quite well now...even one line can let the cat out of the bag. lol!

If you are looking for deep house music it will be his first effort.
But he collaborate with Avicii on house music check - Lay me down.

If you are looking for a dance music his album Trespassing has some. I like Kickin'In, Pop that lock, Cuckoo and Shady.

I still believe that "Better than I know myself" was about Sauli. Adam tried to say that it wasn't about anyone, but he wrote that when he was in the relationship. When Sauli was asked at one time if he thought that Adam got his idea or theme for any of his songs from Sauli, he said yes a few. That song certainly fit. But the only one he couldn't deny that was about Sauli was "Broken English", which I always loved. But Adam has retired that one, after he dedicated it to Sauli at a concert.

I stand corrected about who wrote it, but it was about a lover who knew him better, than he knew himself, and it was when Adam was in his relationship. I stand on my opinion, no matter who wrote it, it was about Adams personal feelings in his relationship.

Might be the end of your story, but it is too obvious. No matter, Adam had his reasons for saying it wasn't about anyone. Adam wanted people who listened to the song, to put the words to their own relationships.
BTW, I am not obsessed with Sauli, I think he is a great young man who is a close friend of Adam. I am also not obsessed with Adam, I don't go around flailing, and gasping for air when pictures of Adam come up. I thoroughly enjoy his music, and also think he is a great young man. Anne Marie

Besides to answer his/her question at this stage is impossible. At this point no one here knows how the new record sounds based on that 15 sec snippet, let alone tell which song from FYE and TP would sound "similar".

However, IF @8:54 truly is a new Adam fan, some of you are not giving a pretty pic of this fandom... js. Carry on.
