Adam Lambert single review - 'Ghost Town'

Transport yourself into Adam Lambert's 'Ghost Town' heart with his brand new single, kickstarting with 45 seconds of melodic and soothing vocal tones before rampaging through an intense and exciting chorus that showcases Adam at his very best. The singer is searching his soul with the first cut from his third studio record, and you'll be inclined to do the same with your first listen to this track.......

I'd go as far as to say that this is the best pop single to come out of the year so far.

With all of the UK QAL fans there should be a definite uptick in the interest of Adam's new single. Especially since Brian is supporting the album with his collab. I just say that Adam is reaching new heights and I want to be there for the fabulous ride! LYSM!

Strong review by someone who has good instincts about Adam. The song is so different, so out of the mainstream. I know it is taking some people way out of their comfort zone. It is not pop pap. It's risky and pushes the boundaries of what's out there is the mainstream pop world. Right up Adam's alley. Hope the support keeps up for many many weeks, right up to the TOH release Then BOOOOM! Another explosion!

Liked that review. It was so favorable towards Adam, but favorable and positive with valid explanation for being so!

Adam was on Ryan Seacreast KIISFM this morning! I'm sure it will be posted here later. My daughter called me on her way to work to tell me to turn my radio on and was so excited! My family knows and accepts my Adam Addiction and now supports it ... love them! Ha!

best interview of the day!

Just saw the Ryan Seacrest interview posted on Atop. I'm sure it will be here soon, too. Love how Adam talked about the other songs on TOH and how great they are. He said he really loves the title track and that it's FAST. He said there will some songs "introduced" from the album before it is released. So, our excitement level will be teased for the next 7 weeks!!! Sounds like the album as a whole is really really good!

Wow, I love this; they didn't mince any words!! Such a fair observation of Adam's tenure in the music business so far! I just love Adam, so sweet, so gentle and kind; yet so fierce so strong and unafraid to face the world in all his glory in a humble beautiful way. The most talented young entertainer in the world; what a man; what a symbol of strength and hard work and patience! At last it seems the media is about to give this man the fair chance he deserved years ago. I started with him 6 years ago, thru thin and now thick; I am still here, and I love this guy so much as a devoted fan!

I do believe that TOH is the one that people will recognize. Although all the other albums and songs were excellent. No one can take that away from him. His fans know that Adam Lambert's talents is now; and always have been the bomb!!!!!!

I must add, more than any thing, it is the man and his outstanding spirit and humble ways that endears him to me; along with that one in a billion voice! Just a good man that wants to make you smile when hear him sing, hear him talk, or watch him walk! The most beautiful, humble, sexy man around!!!

Sorry, never get tired of talking about all of this man's many assests!!!

Thanks LambertLust! Love that interview!! Always fun 'seeing' Adam ... instead of just having to listen to him in interviews.

Hi all, live in St. Louis. Has anyone heard it here? What station? Thanks

Does anyone know if the stations that played GT yesterday are playing it today?

So Ryan interviewed him. Just wish he would have said "see you next week on Idol." Wonder why we haven't heard them mention Adam as a possible? It is the PRIME time for it to happen. One would think as much as they promoted Idol, they would bring him on to debut his new single. Just sayin...and the interview was spot-on!

10:17 They have been bringing past idols on this season. You're right to wonder why they haven't announced Adam to come on. New single, and he HAS ALWAYS had kind words to say about Idol. Heck they even had him as a guest judge. Maybe they are afraid people will think the Adam ticket is overkill. But, if this album blows up the charts and they miss out putting him on Idol, they will feel pretty silly. And as Daniel says, "best single of the year so far."

Hi 10:17AM :)......

If I recall correctly, the "official" on-air release date for radio play in the crossover market stations is April 28th.... So TPTB may wait until then?

But, then.... Adam also tweeted that he heard his song on the radio, and a couple other fans have said so as well.... So??

Also, as for the mainstream radio and top 40 market stations....
Does anyone know of any new info about on-air radio release date(s) for GT?

GREAT interview with Adam and Ryan.....

And thank you, LambertLust, for bringing over the one from 104.3 - to me, that was kind of intense! That fellow seemed a bit goading to me.... though Adam certainly handled himself well, as always. (Clever way he turned the tables with the push-ups question ;-D) Still, an entertaining interview.... and Adam gave us a little song snippet with his gorgeous voice. - - The title track sounds like an awesome song so far! :)))

.... And I agree, this review is stellar! :)))

Sorry 10:17 I meant to address 10:21 on my last comment. But radio play has been projected from what I have read from credible sources next week. In fact, Shoshanna has said not to Spotify the song till 4/27. From one of my good sources, it was mentioned 6 radio stations have already put it on their playlist (daily), but the "build-up" for official release as Yada said is next week. Adam posted hearing it on the radio, and I'm thinking the radio station may have told him what time to listen for it. Just specualating. "Fact not in evidence." but seems like it would have been pretty hard to be in the car right at that very minute it started. I've been listening non-stop to KIIS FM 97.7 and no mention whatsoever.

Good info CeeJay, thanks!! :)

.... Do you happen to know if your sources are referring only to the radio release for the crossover stations, only... Or also mainstream stations as well?
(No probs if you can't say... Just still hoping to find out wherever it may be found :)))

I am in the NYC/NJ radio listening area. Has anyone heard it played on any of the local stations? With all the hype and now the interviews, let's hope that Ghost Town gets radio play. I, also, would like to see Adam perform it on Idol. It seems everyone else comes on the show to promote a new single with a performance, so why not Adam who was a former contestant and also a mentor. Can't wait to hear some of the other songs from the album and then the actual album in June. It should be a hot release for the summer.
