Not sure of how I feel about the dancers yet.. (They are extremely talented, no doubt!! Thinking, maybe I just wanted to see Adam the whole time, and they distracted me - haha).....

But, OMG.....My oh my oh my!! I am beyond words on how absolutely sexy, sexy Adam looks and dances in this. Good freakin' grief!!!

.... GORGEOUS. xoxoxox

The beginning sequence is primo! Love that part... The creativity of the "barren town" scenery. And the whole sequence when he flips up his jacket collar..... Gaaaahhhhh. I died a little, I think! *Phew*

Stunning video, congrats Adam! Love every single part of this video, can't stop watching. So very excited to see you on my TV, great interviews and pics, especially gym pics!

In spite of some of the dancers (prefer more clothes on the women dancers, I'll admit. Call me a pearl clutcher, but I do! ;))....

I say, **BRAVO** ADAM!!! They worked hard on this....

Overall awesome!! The song sounds even more INCREDIBLE with the video!! Spellbinding... : ))))

I just read a very interesting comment on another site - it made the point that there is so much to see that one will have to watch the video a whole bunch of times just for that reason alone! Ha, I agree! lol. They called it "Pavlovian" - it's TRUE! :)

Watching the official vid on ET also counts so I would suggest watching through ET today and probably tomorrow and then after that directly at Adam's YT.

Also retweet ET's announcement of the vid. It's this one:

@yada... when you died a little, did you die in your dreams?
Ha ha! I think we will all be dying a little in our dreams for a few days... or for that matter, in our awake states too!! LOL

Anonymous said...

Hmmm.... probably shouldn't give my true opinion here and just say yay! Adam! Hope it's a huge hit!

Hopefully, young people will like it. I think I am just too old. It is definitely not something I will watch over and over again like WWFM, IIHY, and BTIKM.

I love everything about it. I will have to watch it many times to appreciate all of the nuance.

Cochella gone goth....
That explains what I think about the vid.

I love the song and the original lyric video. I will keep watching this one - maybe it will grow on me!!!

The views are not going up. Stuck at 301??

I remember when the "If I Had You" vid came out, everyone was saying that there was too much, too many dancers, too many changing scènes and, now, that vid has close to 50 million views.

This Ghost Town video is incredible. I just LOVE the part where it becomes like a revival with Adam dancing and turning. He said it was like a party on set and it sure feels like that to me. I Watch the vid and I want to dance with Adam after that little bizarre sound at the end of the bridge (like a "triolet" -- a bunch of notes played together). Anyway, great VID!!!

Moon said...

Yada, I'm totally with you, you speak my mind! The beginning part, all I can say is 'WOW' and when he flip his jacket, gosh, he kills me! I really like him wearing long jacket!

Can't wait to play repeatedly all day long!

yada said...

LOL, 5:44PM heehee... Good one!

.... Definitely awake, for now, and hopefully in my dreams, too, if they involve... well.... we-know-who... *wink* ;-D

I love the part where he becomes a kind of Elvis. There is a lot going on in this video. Lots of flicking and flashing and jumping from second to second. I like a kind of smoother touch, but this video sure does suit the music! It's outre and goth. Love the close-ups of Adam. If I could change anything, it would be to show Adam more clearly more often. I think the dancers are great. Loved seeing Terrence. I'm gonna watch this A LOT!

Anonymous said...

Kath, YouTube always sits at 300 for awhile before it updates. No worries.

DAYYUUMM, Pause at 3:14. Adam has a major 6 pack, he is toned as hell. God, he is so damn beautiful.

yada said...

Ahhh, good point and reminder, 6:12 :)).....

Guess, in this day and age of "Booty"ness a la JLo.... I may be one of the few left who aren't too enthused with "booty" ness in videos.... Sigh. that goes for ANY video today, though.... *~*

But, hey! This GT mv is AMAZING. Brings the song and lyrics to life even more...

.... (well, perhaps some of that "LIFE" is my heart doing some serious thumping to one very HOT Adam-freaking-Lambert in this video! gaaahd...he is smokin'!;))

Anonymous said...

This video was definitely made for the younger generation that is used to that quick editing ADD look. I hate it.

Anonymous said...

I noticed also that the views were stuck at 301 and yet it had 1000 likes.

yada said...

And I agree, Dee R Gee.... Terrence is magnificent in this!

6:21 :))..... Ahhhhhhhhh the long jacket....
AAAAAND that low-cut shirt with the long necklace..... Ohhhh dear. Help us. :D

Beautiful young people gathering in Ghost Town; beautiful people to be admired by men and women! Such a talented sexy bunch of ghosts! Especially the object of their attentions, the handsome, sexy Mr. Adam Lambert. Or, as Oprah announced him, "Adam Lamberrrt"!!

@7:00, your "Oprah memory" about pronouncing his name that way made me smile a mile wide! I loved that too!!!!!

Wonder if they will post the making of the video, sure whole lotta fun! Wish to have more Adam dancing part, as he said, he can move! Sexy man.

Dee R Gee said...

I do wish that the video had used the lyrics to tell a story. I thought that's where it was going in the beginning. The lyrics are begging to tell a very cool story. The look of the video is very current and cool. I love all the moments with Adam best, but I wish he had danced alone more. All in all, I love and will be watching many times!

Nice pop song....love the beginning tone of his voice & the song stays with you easily. Hope there is a song on the rest of album that showcases his voice like "Who Wants To Live Forever". Video was beautiful .... he is so unique and mesmerizing.

7:19 PM, that is MUCH better than it was before the Ghost Town snippets came out and radio started talking up GT.

When the requests were here just a week or two ago asking fans to go subscribe he had around 4-5,000 subscribers.

Anonymous said...

Sutan is in it too.

Anonymous said...

Somehow, just felt like I wanted more. Not a bad video, just was missing a little something.

Unknown said...

Adam was pretty clear that the intent was not to tell a specific story. He said Ghost Town was deliberately ambiguous so people could layer on their story. He went the story route with his Trespassing era MVs. This one reminds me of Randy's comments after Ring of Fire - it's current, it's young, it's fresh, it's hot

Perfect description of this video.

Anonymous said...

Wow.. He only had 4-5000 subscribers before? How is that possible? Even 17,000 seems like nothing to me when other singers have millions of subscribers. I dont get it.

Moon said...

Yes, he had only 3000 subscribers when some fans share the news to subscribe.

I noticed the music video was uploaded on April 24. When Adam said he can't wait to share, he mean it! lol

Unknown said...

@Canadian, Hey Whats Up Girl, you loving that video?

I was expecting a lot from this video and it is better than what I expected and then some.

Adam is all grown up, and boy oh boy, this song and video show cases just that. Modern, edgy, sexy, it delivers.

So happy for Adam, well done, my man!!! Its going to be a hit..

So if you haven't subscribed to Adam's YT yet, go do it now!

Anonymous said...

Everybody knows, as Randy said on Amer Idol, "Adam can sing the phonebook" and make it sound good -- Yet he cautioned Adam to find his own sound/style. But, what I am seeing is that many greats in the music industry recognize that Adam is the voice/performer of this decade and are calling upon his talents to showcase THEIR styles and songs. I saw that also on the other albums -- and I believe that Avicii even used his voice without credits even though the vocals were recognizably ALL Adam. However, in Ghost Town I think Adam;s greatness has NOT been placed at the head of the table. (Even though QUEEN also uses Adam's virtuoso to bring their songs alive, they honor him with the crown and insist that he command his own performance. Ghost Town is referred to constantly as Max's genius and award winning production (his assimilation of Western cowboy guitar strumming, bells, whistles and electronics) together with Hype Williams' name imposed on the video and supplemented with Adams truly great dancer friends creating a hodge-podge of distracting themes and costumes. In the midst of all these egos, Adams once in a lifetime voice and breathtaking performance abilities are trivialized...like he's just one of the gang Max and Hype put together.

Well I love it. It is current fast, fresh & current. Not to mention Adam is simply gorgeous in it.
I am an older fan, but showed it to my teenage grandson who said "Yeh Grandma, that's more like it cool music to, this time" So that's good enough for me.
Im a happy Fan.
I hope this blows up for Adam he so deserves it.Can not wait to hear from our other regulars Glitzlady, JAK, Sue & the rest.

Anonymous said...

Well, what to say? Adam looks great. His friends Joey, Terrance, Matty and Sutan are there and look gorgeous. Thank God it's black and white. That makes it easier to watch than if it was in colours b/c it is so unease/restless. I like the beginning (the city photos) and the Elvis-part most. The dancing clips change in such a quick tempo that it is not nice to look at times. I guess people suffering of epilepsy or migraine may not like it (don't know, js). These are my thoughts and my opinion. It's definitely made for younger people than me (altho I'm young at heart at least in my own opinion, lol).

Anonymous said...

It was a good video, as far as videos go, but Adam repeated what he has done with his other videos, he tried to cram as many of his friends into it as possible. I am sure they were all begging to be in it, and apparently he has a problem ever saying no, or not this time. The girl dancer and Terrence would have been enough, more of Adam would have been better, and I really liked the tiny bit of a ghost town, would have liked to see more of that in the background. Makes me think that Adam feels that he has to buy his friends for them to like him, and I definitely know that is not true. Everyone who meets him really likes him immediately. I think deep down he is insecure about people really liking him. He doesn't need all his friends in his videos.
When we see him on Ellen on Thursday, he will have at least 6 or 7 of his friends in the audience too, probably some of his family as well. He usually does, for sure Terrance, Joey and
maybe Danielle and his mom.

Anonymous said...

I think Ellen records her shows a day or two before they are aired, so his part may already be done.

Anonymous said...

OT but still about the interview, He surprised me about what he does not want in a relationship, and he answered quite adamantly, NO DRAMA. Made me wonder if any of his ex's had caused some drama.
The only ex's I know about all seemed quite laid back and peaceful people. But as they say you don't know anyone until you live with them. And to be fair, to them, I think Adam is used to getting his own way, he has said before, he doesn't like it if people say no to him. So he may not be the easiest person to live with either.

Anonymous said...

Beverly, it is a compliment to Adam that people like Max and Hype want to work with Adam. It adds to Adam's credibility which he needs with radio and other people right now. Letting Max's and Hype's names be as big as Adam's right now is probably something he is willing to do to take that next step to bigger things. More people will take a listen and a look because of Max and Hype.

Adam said the look and feel of the video is what he wanted. You are insulting his vision.

Additionally, I find Adam's voice very front and center on this. Especially over the acoustic guitar.

Adam is not a victim. Please stop painting him as one with everybody taking advantage of him. It's just not true.

I agree Anon 8.50pm. No way would Hype Williams have these people in the video if they weren't up to the task. They are all professionals. Well said. on every thing.

Similar to your grandson, Jadam NZ, my teen daughter was pretty impressed! (So she told me AFTER she went into various flailings of "OMG, mom.... He is like, EXTREMELY attractive in this!" and the like)....
She thinks the song is very cool, and fresh.... Some of the dancing scenes are really great. (the guys seemed to do some serious dance moves that really made the scenes look fierce and complex.... To me, the gals looked more like they just writhed around. Lol...
Though the "writhing" is likely an acquired skill, as well. Still, liked the guys moves better with the style and beat of the song. Fits really well!)

....Anyway, seems to be appealing to some of the younger ones... Which is good.
(my daughter also really liked BTIKM, though too). :)

As many of you I'll surely need to watch the video again and again , I may have missed many subtleties in my frenzy.Brief observations:
-the makers of the video have used other artistic devices to make it special:
-the dance-minimalist but "loaded" with passion
the costumes of the dancers -they seem to represent a large palette of ethnicity, paradoxically the dance has made the too repetitive chorus sound good
-visual effects -they are of utmost importance as there are no props, the "dance" of white, black, grey shadows/shades is fascinating
-the editing, rapid, "nervous" seems to follow closely the lyrics, I love, love, love the lapping(I hope it's the correct word) of the 2 different images of Adam, the angelic and the devilish, I love the passing from the angelic to the devilish one when he sings the chorus. Hmmm, interesting, the angel and the devil, one and the same!
-in the beginning the shots, the images of the ghost town remind me of a big screen movie
--the short, dazzling flashes of light
-Adam playing with his Elvis-like jacket, the most appropriate mimic when he sings a bizarre line, "love is a satire"
-Adam dancing, statuesque postures
But above all, the way Adam sings the thoughtful, fairly intellectual lyrics, he delivers them as if he opens his heart and we ,the listeners/intruders are allowed to become part of his confession, meditation on lost love, lost values. Nothing demonstrative, everything unostentatious.
The song, the video and mainly Adam's interpretation make me feel like like stepping on sacred ground, the man's soul.

JAK said...

@ Jadam NZ......Bless your heart, I'm sure NO ONE wants to hear what I thought of the video. :-)))

Let's just say I am in agreement with Adam, it's schizophrenic...

What I am buzzed about is the early reaction of radio and reviewers. My fingers are crossed that this single paves the way for a couple more. That would be great!!!

Someone on Ytube suggested viewing the video full screen & slowing it down some ... so I did & I thought I liked it better that way ... I get headaches from so much 'flashing' ... this way you can see more of ADAM as well ... at least I seemed to be able to pick things out more easily ... either way ... I LOVE ADAM's latest Masterpiece ... gonna give it a lot of views everywhere especially on ADAM's Ytube channel!! Now I just have to wait for ADAM on Ellen this Thursday!!

Not enough of Adam, too many dancers, it started off great but seemed to lose it's focus after that. Thought it was a pity we didn't see more of Adam's interpretation of Elvis as he looked stunning.

Jadam NZ said...

I guess some of us are still wanting Adam to be a "Josh Groban" type of artist. But we know he is not, but like JAK take away from the song and the video what you do enjoy & leave the rest. This is Adam, and we are just along for the ride I think we are not the target audience. Saying that I love it all.

Anonymous said...

But Adam didn't intend it to be slowed down. Why change what the artist intended.

Anonymous said...

Adam isn't Elvis or Josh Groban or Freddie. I hate the comparisons and that people want him to be more like somebody else.

Anonymous said...

Jadam NZ, if a segment of us wasn't the intended audience of this video, I worry about the rest of the album. Maybe the Adam I fell in love with on Idol is gone. Maybe his music will be too much like the current music I don't like hearing. I hope at least the song with Brian will be good.

yada said...

Okay, for any folks who can do so, I took some of the advice here and, I so agree....
I STRONGLY recommend you watch this video on Full Screen on the largest device/monitor screen you can find.

All I can say is just WOW.

(feast for the eyes with this man!! OMG)

- To me, your eyes capture so much more of the artistry on the bigger screen .... even within Adam's style of dancing (along with jaw-dropping angles of his biceps, too, I might add, *ahem*) in this video. The B&W really comes alive ... in a hauntingly demure and beautiful way; and somehow maintains this aura even when Adam turns "edgy" and "Elvis-esque" as he cues off the dancers in the group "house dance party" crescendo toward the end....

Looks pretty darn amazeballs on big screen, I have to say.

-- Terrence & Johnny R. are really exceptional in this as well, IMO!

Yes, the days of Idol are gone and I think it is a good thing, artists must change, evolve , must take a new direction when the situation calls for it, they shouldn't remain "captive" of the past, however glorious might it seem. I'm not a pop music lover, I think that singing competitions offer the young competitors false dreams... but here I am , longing for Whole Lotta Love, dreaming of Sleepwalker, wishing to listen again to a an out- of- this- world The Show Must Go On and...posting about pop like crazy.lol For love of Adam and his voice!

Yep Pan I laughed at your comment I think Adam has roused a few of us from our slumber and taken us out of our comfort zone. All good I say.
I do it for the love of Adam to, some things have been a great eye opener and learning curve for me.

Lam-My said...

So Ghost Town has been revealed. Well,
the beginning with the thunder and smoke excited me but short-lived; could have exploited that a bit more, the suspense element seems a bit lacking to bring out the Ghost Town effect. Like perhaps, show Adam from afar as a dark speck and slowly coming into full view to expand on the suspense element. Perhaps also cut down on the female dance sequences; have more of Adam's dance moves, slowed down. Terrance and Johnny are very good dancers, have always liked them. Okay overall, enjoyed the black/white video, Adam's voice/singing/moves a lot! The Ghost Town song seems rather hooky. And Adam looks oooh-la-la handsome!

Anonymous said...

Adam has been working out for the last year. Saw some great pictures of that new body but he had more clothes on in this video than ever before! Take it off Adam! J/K gini

I got the impression from Adam that the album will have some ballads, R&B, etc on it. As for me, I really like Ghost Town the song and dig the new video. I didn't care for the visual effects of the lyric video at all because they didn't seem to relate to the theme in the song. I can't wait to watch the new video over and over. As for whether Adam is doing his friends a favor by including them in his video, I think they are in awesome shape and crazy talented and DESERVE to be there. :) By the way, my teenage son really likes the song. And when I told my boss to check out the lyric video, I heard him replay it about 5 times! He noticed the number of likes & dislikes and said Who would dislike that?! Lol. I told him you're always going to see a few dislikes on any video. So long story short, I'm pumped!!

Keeping your fingers crossed is NOT supporting!

Hoping for another single, something more to your fancy, on the release day of the video of his first single Ghost Town is NOT supporting!!!

Do something else with your fingers, click, click, click!!! Play the vid over and over, tell about it, tweet about it, share it, buy the music, do what ever it takes to get this song, the vid and the album where they need to be!!! Otherwise there will be no next single, no touring...That's how music business works. Then there will be nothing to whine about and/or to pic apart.

The video starts off really well, so great seeing more of Adam but then there's too much dancing imo, (even though it's really good) and not enough of the Ghost Town effect and Adam himself .... and like the FYI and IIHY videos, he has a lot of people (dancing) in it which I don't think is necessary. He seems to like having a lot of people with him in videos. Love the black and white!! :)

@3:12 AM
Thank you for your post! I believe what you said is spot on; and on the contrary, is much needed right now. Words of wisdom! A great reminder that is not about us; but, about this wonderful talented man that many of us profess to be a fan of. I think your post should be posted at the beginning of every thread!

Fortunately, Adam seems to be picking up many more young fans in his own age group and many more folks, young and all; all over the world; who are getting to know of him for the first time and they are pretty darn excited.

I love this video, it is so Adam, and really brings out his creative side! I hope it will be a big success, I know that I will do everything in my power to continue to support this intelligent super talented man!
Beats wandering around in a Ghost Town daze constantly complaining about how is not doing this or that; and should be doing this, that or the other, instead of supporting him unconditionally!

I am so very proud of Adam; he is getting accolades from everywhere.
This is Adam's new beginning so to speak. It has been a great ride so far; but, his "space ship" is heading fast and furious to that once unattainable planet; and you can bet your bottom dollar, that I will be aboard; and I won't be trying to tell him how to steer that space ship; no, I am going to shut the heck up and just continue to enjoy this glorious ride!

@3:12, thank you again for your thoughtful sincere reminder that seems to have come straights from your heart! Just what is needed at this most important time for in Adam's career!!! Later, time to head off to the real world; have a great day fellow Glamberts!

Lots of mixed reactions to GT, but that's fine. To each his own. The important thing is that we support GT to the max to make sure that more singles will be released from TOH. I am SO excited about TOH. There will songs on there that will knock our socks off, I'm sure.

I know we'll support GT even if some of us a little lukewarm on it.

Lam-My said...

Final analysis is the song plays a lot more importance than the video which is very good, just a little more intrigue would have spiced it up as the title, Ghost Town implies. But Adam is the star of the video and his singing/voice/handsomeness always works regardless. I like the song and his singing a lot! and his interpretation of Ghost Town! In the old days, there never was a need for a video to accompany a song. But giving one's opinion/critique must never be taken as dampening Adam's art or ruining his chance of a tour or even a Grammy! Art is a very very subjective thing; Adam will not take it adversely as he's much too open-minded for that.

Anonymous said...

I don't see this as Adam evolving and taking a new direction. I see it as going right back to pre Idol performances at Zodiac. Too much happening too fast and too erratic.

But that's what he likes, so be it.

the blonde male dancer at the end looks familiar? does anyone know his name? kinda sexy. The video is very sexy, but you wouldn't expect anything less. I love how everyone is moving in a fast motion. He could give Justin Timberlake a run for his money.

Lots of interesting comments here, enjoyed reading through them, thanks everyone! My feelings on the GT mv are pretty well represented already here in this thread, so I won't add anything. But I will say that what I like about GT the most is that it plays to a demographic that Adam needs to get on board imho, for that I am especially psyched. Circumstances of my regular life are such that I am aware, very aware, of what content is in much (not all obviously but much) current pop and top 40 mv's, and GT is unique while still being relatable to the tastes of a demographic Adam needs to get amped up for his single, imo. I personally think this is presentation is a great BUSINESS decision, but it's still very very Adam Lambert, imo. I am not saying AML went with tis concept for only business reasons, not at all, GT mv is so totally Adam imho, but it's cool to me that it has all the feel of an AML aesthetic while still being accessible and interesting to a demo that he needs, win/win. My point of view anyway :). One other thing that I will add, I am not sure if it was here (I've been popping around the internet this morning to various AML sites :)) but someone commented on not loving the Hype Williams words coming up, but stuff like that is pretty standard nowadays, for those of you who might not follow a lot of current top 40/pop. I am just happy that Hype Williams isn't SPOKEN in the video, or SONG for that matter, somewhere!! Because that also is super common, well more with producers' names, like "Red One" etc., but still, I'm just happy the vocal to the song is all Adam :). Have a good day Adam fans, exciting times. Like someone said here, I'm more psyched about the radio adds, so awesome!!

So he hired his friends and hook ups to dance in the video... Pretty embarrassing.

Why didn't he use some professional dancers, etc. I don't think that stripper Matty is a high level of professional dancer...

Lam-My said...

Adam has said he wants to build up a kind of group of gay artists as that representation is not strong right now. Mmm, perhaps he's doing just that and more years down the road he might own his own musical company to put up music or fashion shows. So he is at the foundation stage, perhaps that's the reason he employs his trusted friends as a company is most effective, based on trust and reliability.

I just saw your comment, the same exact comment, on another thread. I responded there, because I was trying to be receptive to all people who post here, and I can sort of get your concern. Now that I can see your posting the same exact comment again, I am more suspect of your motives, but I will take a chance and respond to you with the same response I gave on the other thread to your exact comment:

Regarding the part of your comment "Why didn't he use some professional dancers, etc. I don't think that ... Matty is a high level of professional dancer..."

I can understand what you're saying I guess, but I will say that maybe for this particular video, AML didn't need to hire incredibly high end professional dancers. He was going for a certain aesthetic and feel. Maybe if Adam had done a video like Ed Sheeran's Thinking out Loud video, or a video like that of certain sections of Taylor Swift's Shake it Off video - maybe he would have hired professional dancers with very high level & extensive training? Imho, he achieved the aesthetic and mood and feel that he spoke about wanting for GT with the hires he made. I don't know him, I am no expert, I am just putting that idea out there to you.

*A quick addendum, I don't know the resumes of the dancers Adam used, perhaps many of them have extensive training? If you have their resumes or web pages or whatever and you want to share, feel free. In any event, I am not interested in discrediting the creative performers in the vid, and credentials aside, imho the performers in GT did a good job, and seemed to deliver very successfully what Adam and Hype required of them, and hired them for.

Well, as usual, threads about Adam's music get more comments here than threads about his personal life.

Adam attracts such "crazy" fans.

Funny yada!! ;)

@6:30 AM
That blond male dancer at the end is Matty Morbid. He is the guy Adam was with at Jake Shear's huge pizza-birthday party some months ago. Matty was photographed also in Adam's new house after that. This was before Adam started going more out with Joey Gray, who happens to be also on this vid. Both Matty and Joey look good. They are different type, but gorgeous.

I believe that Adam is very proud of his video, and his single and also his album. He feels much more comfortable surrounded by his friends, I think he said that in the interview. It gives it a party atmosphere. I think he accomplished that with this video.
He absolutely should remain single at least for a while, and just gather new friends and stay friendly with his ex's, as he has done for some time. Complete freedom and single, and he is a happy man. I think he is living in a dream world if he ever thinks there will be no drama in a relationship. In fact it could become quite boring. A little drama and the make up time afterwards is very special, and rekindles the feelings even deeper. JMO

@8:53, I agree that a little drama can add some spice. Too much drama is just plain too much drama.;)

I would like to defend Adam's dancer friends yet again. How much better shape could they possibly be in? How much better could they have danced? I'lI' tell you if I knew anyone like that you can bet they'd be in MY music videos!!!

@ 3:12 AM......Okay, you have thoroughly scolded me.
I hope you feel better.

PS...I don't recall whining.

We all had our feeling about this video. It's not for you to dictate to us what we should do about it. How dare you say that we should support Adam your way. We all support Adam in our own way, as to how we feel about what ever his new project is, we don't always agree. Shame on you for putting down another persons opinions. I get enough of that, so no need to start on JAK.

I love the video, can't wait to see it on the bigger tv screen. I absolutely love Ghoast Town the single and video.

Adam has every reason in the world to be proud of the video and song. Just because these dancers are Adams friend certainly does not mean they are not trained dancers. They are very talented amaizing dancers and it shows in this video. Sue

The video is great, but I have one problem with it. I wanted to see more of Adam, just Adam dancing around and showing off by himself. It is hard sometimes for me to separate him from all of the others because it goes so fast. He looked amazing. Less of the dancers please and more of Adam. I love his crazy dance moves and wanted to see more of them and more of just him.

Have you tried watching it full screen? I took that advice from some others on this site and another site - I really felt that I got a good old dose of full on Adam! :). Try that if you haven't already? Happy Viewing! :)

Adam has a wide circle of friends who are in areas of the arts, including some who are professional, trained dancers, some of whom he invited to perform in his "Ghost Town" Music video. Some others are models, etc.. And all are beautiful and add to the artistry of his and the director's vision for the video.. He also wanted to highlight the fashion and the diversity within the whole..

Adam is a talented, creative, artistic and fascinating man, who surrounds himself with interesting, artistic and talented people.. Just one of the many things that keeps me coming back for more.. His kindness, his loyalty, his generousity to those he has known for years is heartwarming. And lucky for us, his friends aren't hard on the eyes either :)))))

I suppose it's a good thing he doesn't hire his fans (me for instance..) to create and direct his music vids, though, because Adam would be front and center every second.. Not a bad thing of course :))) but perhaps not his vision for his vids..

I love the song and the video neither were what I expected both are better than I even hoped for. I have very little time to comment anymore but while I had time to stop by, I want to say how much many on this site have come to mean to me. JAK, Sue glitzy lady , Tess 4 Adam, DRG and many more. It is heartwarming to have a place to talk about Adam and have others understand. And while there is sometimes negitivity here I have learned to ignore it and focus on those of u whose comments show a deep love and respect for Adam and for each other.

We know that Ellen records her shows a day or two in advance, so at this time it is a done deal. I am looking forward to seeing how Adam is going to present this song, live. I am assuming there will be some dancers, I am really waiting to see who he uses for his band. Will it be the same old, or a new one?

JAK said...

@ Anne Marie.......me too! Ellen is on at 3:00 PM here in Tampa.
My husband said "Why don't we go out to the beaches tomorrow, have a late lunch?" I said "uhhhhhh, let's go Friday instead, you know how awful traffic is on the bridge in late afternoon."
No way am I missing Ellen, I'm so curious as to the way this is going to be arranged for a live performance.
Plus the fact that there is such a warm welcome for Adam each time he's on her show.

Lol, JAK!! hehehehe.....

.... Your secret is safe with us. ;D

@ Rose Petal.........you're a peach!
I'm missing your flights of fancy in verse.....
I'm hoping your husband is doing well.
This is for you....

The man in black is Kickin' it tonight
With coattail flying, he's quite a sight
He's out to conquer, this musical knight
His mission to capture and delight
He's an artist's dream in black and white.

I can't get that photo out of my mind! :-))))

@ yada....I have to be quick witted. Even after 6 years he still rolls his eyes at the mention of AML.
It hardly seems fair....I don't object to his fascination with Charlize Theron.
But I am getting tired of J'adore.....he keeps buying it for me!

Since others are voicing the type of Adam video they would like, I'd like to voice my druthers.
The suggestion of Adam coming through the ghost town from a distance is good. But when he gets close up, the camera should focus on him and never leave. All videos seem to jump around from one scene to another. What scene do we want to see? Adam! He knows how to dance and sing at the same time, as on American Idol, which we all loved. Nothing nor nobody else is needed.

A very diverse bunch of fans we are!

Some are projecting their own fictionary/mental/imaginary 'Ghost Towns' on Adam's Ghost Town and surprised, disappointed when they don't match.

Love Adam's Ghost Town and it gets better with every time I listen to it, every time I watch the vid. I keep my ghost towns to myself, but loving Adam (as a fan) makes it easier to live with them. <3

I'm pleased if Adam and his team are producing songs and vids that capture him the demographic he needs for FURTHER and FUTURE radio play and success. I feel that Adam & his team are doing just that. Good for them. Long range thinking, smart.
