Yes, we saw it from Adam but it was still **confusing** with all we've been hearing about ordering from iTunes up until the specific instructions tonight from Shosh... So much conflicting info about iTunes.. And wanting the very best for Adam...

At least we know now!!!

Already pre-ordered from iTunes!!! Yay!!

I pre-ordered from iTunes and then the $200 bundle from AO. I had to. ;)

I love it.When I first heard it on my phone sneakily at work having to turn it on and off, I wasn't sure I knew I likes it, it was catchy but after hearing it again a couple of times I really love it. I love the lyrics I enjoy poetic words like that.
Sadly I can not buy it from iTunes or pre-order the album yet as I am waiting for new credit card to be sent out, which wont be till next week, really bad timing, Huh?

@Jadam
Here's a thought: I have a credit card attached to my account but I use iTunes gift cards (that I gift to myself :))) to actually buy the music... But I suppose if you don't currently have a credit card that makes it hard.. Hoping your new card arrives soon!!!!

I still have that song running through my head... which is EXACTLY what Adam needs for radio play!!! Something that people simply can't get out of their heads!!!

You can preorder now using your significant other iTunes account, or your own second account, or your son/daughter account just to chart GT/TOH on iTunes. Then on June use your own account to buy/gift TOH to chart it on iTunes. I have two accounts with iTunes. Used one to preorder TOH and buy GT. I will use my other account in June to buy/gift TOH to help with charting on iTunes.

@Anon 1:18 AM
I like the way you think!!!! I'm pretty sure my hubby would like to have Adam on HIS iPhone too via his iTunes acct... (he's an Adam Lambert fan too and he likes Ghost Town)..so yeah... he's getting a present from me...and Adam!

Jadam NZ said...

Thanks Glitzy, never thought of that...gift card, of course.
By the way TOH No3 on NZ iTunes at the moment. That will be all the hard core fans. Once GT gets to radio it will take off again.

I created an US iTunes account and purchased Ghost Town using iTunes gift cards. Going to pre-order the album now!

I wish to get the $200 bundle but it is way too expensive for me after converted to my currency. It will cost me RM730 for an album. I'll have to let go and go for the deluxe bundle. :'(

Yeah, guys let's beat iTunes algorithm by having 2 iTunes account. Use one today to chart TOH and use other one to chart TOH in June.

I can't stand this business of pushing people to spend up big especially before they have had a chance to hear the music. I for one will wait until I hear the album and then I will decide whether I like it or not, and only then will I make a decision to buy it or not. Pushing fans like this is so disrepectful.

3:03 AM, I totally agree. Also some of us can only afford one CD and there is all this talk of buy now! buy from multiple sources! make multiple accounts to buy it from!

Anonymous said...

Well. What a mess. Who are these people who passed around the new iTunes charting and said wait. And didn't Shosh initially agree with the wait on iTunes, buy from Amazon? So now Shosh doesn't care how Ghost Town charts on iTunes? Or only cares how it looks now and doesn't care how it looks on iTunes on the album release date?

I don't even know what to say. This has been so confusing. I guess this is what happens when too many cooks try to game the system.

This buying business should've been sorted out before this, before the 11th hour. Outside the realm of Glamberts, people will buy the singles and/or the album when they decide they like them. More than likely, they won't know anything about this iTunes/single/album pre-ordering which may (or may not) be a good thing because it may only confuse them. Time will tell.

Please please don't spoil this ADAM's DAY with petty whining.

If you have been a true Adam fan all these years then support him by buying Ghost Town and the whole album. At least one of each. That is affordable and doable to all who are online and follow Adam and you know it.

If GT did not have you @Died... just give the song a few more listens, then a few more....
Don't decide anything based on first listen!

After many listens just do as your heart tells ya to do! Do what you can and can afford.

But you owe him the courtesy of not whining and bitching and raining on his parade today of all days!

its awful !!
i hope the other tracks will cover up this mess .

well said anon 4:41AM! We can't make everyone to like Ghost Town but this is something new and special, at least I personally LOVE it. I'll do what I can and afford to do to help Adam. I really want the best for him. :)

@4:41 AM....What your proposing sounds like emotional blackmail, by pushing as you are you run the risk of pushing people away from buying. You should not feel pressured to buy anything. I'll buy the album based on it's merit but not before I've heard it in it's entirety. As for the single it's not what I had hoped it would be so I won't be buying it. However, this in no way means I think any less of Adam, I do wish him well and hope his album is a success, but to assume that if people listen to it over and over again they will change their mind is narrow minded and ignorant.

I am a huge fan of Adam. I have young kids and not a lot of money to spend. I buy one physical CD, download the single once, and digitally buy the album once... and I feel good about that... but I have NO PROBLEM with various strategies being discussed here. I have also had my kids buy the one single with the past two albums, so a little crossover buying there, but still staying within a trim budget... but again, I have no problem with people discussing buying and charting strategies that involve the spending of some hefty money, good for them I say!! I feel no jealousy, anger, regret, wishfulness... it's kind of fun to me. Gosh, can't we live and let live... I have a strict budget, others don't, no problem, it's all good, I feel neither badly nor blackmailed nor bullied. Crossing my Fingers for GT to catch on with 15-30 crowd! :)

@6:22

Thanks for sharing your opinion. I'm glad to hear you wish him well, but your wishes will not further his career. I not only listened but HEARD every word you said in your post, and I myself have limited funds to spend on Adam Lambert, but as someone who wants to hear future music of Adam's on my radio, I am coming up with $1.29 to buy the GT single, I can manage that, whether I absolutely LOVE it or not. I like it, I don't LOVE it, but I certainly like it, and even if I didn't, I am able to come up with $1.29 to help in some small way ensure that his future singles might receive recognition and radio play. I too have waited for to purchase the album, but even there, I will probably budget it in, skip buying a few coffees or something, and purchase the album, cuz it is only with album sales that we can be guaranteed of Adam seeing more recognition, press, airplay... that is simply how it is. My wishful thinking and hopes for Adam lambert will not bring those things about. Just my POV. Peace.

4:41 AM, it's not petty whining. I wanted to support Adam by how I bought and then it turned out to be wrong. This whole thing looks like it was run by monkeys. Who are we supposed to believe in the future. Not that same "source."

Also your assumption that we can all afford to buy one of each is rude.

I'm not raining on Adam's parade. He has no idea I'm upset over the screw up of the buying and the pressure to buy more, I'm not tweeting it to him. I have every right to express that here, the place that told me how to buy and you telling me to buy more. Good thing I like the song or I'd be telling you I'm not listening to it 10 more times just because you said I should.

Just woke up. So now I am supposed to go pre-order on itunes?

I already ordered from Amazon because we were told not to pre-order on itunes.

What happened?

So is the don't shazam also incorrect info?

The songs just what he needed for radio and get some of those younger buyers. He no1 now pre order deluxe album and six over all. His face is hopefully still is on the Pop no.1.

Over all he is no six on all category.

If GT continues to do well and can stay high on the charts, there will be a greater chance that more singles from TOH will be released.

I would like to hear the rest of the album, so I have ordered it.
Hard to judge from one song, which may or may not hit high on the charts in the next few weeks.
I am glad it tells that it is a dream, because I don't think Adams heart is a Ghost Town at all. I definitely don't think this about Adam, but there are probably people out there that this might hit home personally.

Those who can't buy multi-copies, no need to apologize or feel less. What was important is that the fandom carried the day and that Adam's music had a proper roll-out and is being played all over on radio. Sure the strategy did what it was intended to do, but the proof in the pudding is that GT and TOH has got to be wanted, wanted by those who are not fandom and casual listeners. Meaning everyone has to want the music enough to buy it. All the pre-sales etc are great, but even that plays out in a week, month or two. That's when the universe karma kicks in.
