I'm really feeling this song, just like Ghost Town and Underground :) GT is my jam though!

There's a slight Queen vibe in Another Lonely Night.

I like Another Lonely Night...it's a hit right there! Yea yea yea ! Beautiful melody, beat and oooh-la-la! vocals!
Evil In The Night...not so drawn to it yet; but there is a lyric that reminds me of my favorite phrase 'partner in crime', in fact I just wrote it again in my recent Bert and Saul story. Adam sings ' your love is a crime'. lwl!

Oh my! I am taking in all these "riches" in big gulps! I'm loving Adam's new music... listening to them all over and over again...and each time I hear something new...discover a new gem... wonder at the intricacies in them. Really masterful musicianship collaberations! Adam is in superb form. I don't think there's another voice around that could "pull off" these songs!.... and there'd MORE to come!

So much dance music.

ANL Perfection, heartbreak, regret and loneliness but far from a downer maudlin expression. Honesty and pain, sharing such intimacy thru voice and musicianship. Feels like Adam just got real in his own way. Admire him so much.

Anonymous said...

Sublime, but with a hard hitting rhythm and throbbing beat and the lyrics expressing all the pathos of emotions usually kept within. I think Adam opened up and has been honest and vulnerable and laid himself bare. I do so home tptb and industry takes note of his journey on a personal and profession level. And if it does not receive the notice and acclaim due I'm happy enough that the product Adam has put out is exceptional and nothing has been left to chance. Glad he can be open and emotionally painfully honest with himself and fans. oand qccdnd iussio

I've only listened to Evil In The Night, Another Lonely Night, later, I'm curious why the key word is "night"
Evil In The Night is an instant liking, love "at first hearing", no need of that annoying, to me, "it's growing on me", we're talking of a pop-rock, yes, yes you've seen correctly, pop-rock song that should hook us instantly.
-I think the team, the songwriters, the producers, and of course Adam, are rockers in disguise! lol It has a rockish vibe which makes me extremely happy. All he needs now are good guitar, synth(vital), drum players.
-The production, again, is a pleasant surprise, listening to so many pop voices overproduced, I have to admit I've "hidden" a fear , deep in my mind! This song allows Adam's voice to be heard in all its splendor, the emotional intro which announces another story sung by Adam followed instantly by a "thunderous" passage , Adam's voice rises in the sky, powerful, triumphant is a fragment to remember.
-It is the catchiest of all the songs released by far and it sounds fantastic.
Nothing about the lyrics yet, dear ADMINS, may I ask you the favour of posting them , I can't comment on lyrics which I don't understand, here and there.Thank you.

What a way to end/start your day!
NEW MUSIC & ADAM'S SUPERB VOICE, YAY!!!!!!!!

Lovin it ALL so far, only (!!!) 24-25 days till we really have it all! And I WANT IT ALL!!!

@10:10, agree with you, YAY to that, too!

Anonymous said...

There's a part in 'Another Lonely Night' that sounds like 'I Was Born To Love You'! <33

CT said...

@10:10 yes, something in the melody reminds of a Queen song Adam sang in QAL tour...Asia I think...anyway it's just a few notes in the chorus but it's great!

I love both songs and have DL from iTunes already. What a treat! Yes, Adam has bared his soul and with his magnificent voice and a great team IMO , these are all winners<3333

I wonder what that "sound" is in Another Night where it sounds like a cow mooing??! :-D (N.B.I'm a Glambert NOT a troll).

Jadam NZ said...

I got Underground when I preordered TOH. Bought Ghost Town as a single. Did this through itunes NZ. I wonder if we will get the chance to get these next two tracks early to, or is it just to encourage people who haven't preordered to do so.

Anonymous said...

Oops! I meant Another LONELY Night.

Jadam NZ said...

By the way, love these two new tracks. I can see what Adam was saying about not going too over the top and it has worked he sounds sublime. Shades of Sam Smiths songs. Appealing to a wide variety of people. But still special as only Adam can sound.

Oh, forgot to add:
ALN clearly has some nice "Nile Style" guitar playing... YAY again!

Knight of the Night
Sings...Evil In The Night
Another Lonely Night
Well well...Original High
Will take flight worldwide
Into the spotlight
Flying higher and higher
Like a kite with tail and stripes
Please excuse my indulgence
Tiger Tiger burning bright
In the forest of the night
It sounds just right lwl!

Evil In The Night( II)
It is an extremely intelligently produced song, I've counted , at least, 5 changes of harmony and rhythm ,of genres and voice, e.g.the intro is slow tempo, it goes on up tempo, sung in force(rockish), a "duel" , in alternation , between voice and machine, an R&B up tempo fragment, , the 2:42 , the same rockish fragment from the beginning ,low voice, it is my favorite, it ends , again, in an R&B note. Just think of the so many possibilities of improvisations! Adam will sing it differently, from concert to concert , what a joy, I can't wait!
Yes , it is repetitive, all pop/rock songs are, but this time, like in rock, I can't wait listening to those parts because I like what I've heard.

GRANT. said...

@12:32 AM, Yes!! I knew the hook sounded familiar the first time I heard it, and then I realised it was from I Was Born to Love You! Perhaps Queen did influence his songs after all ;-)

Ingenious, bravo!

I think Another Lonely Night is an old-school Adam Lambert, which is not bad , not bad at all because:
-after 5 years we can talk about old-school/new-school Adam, to each their own
-it is sentimental, it is nostalgic(I hope the lyrics will not prove me wrong lol), it is very personal, it is written Adam all over it
-it sounds as if it were written with an exact target, the long-distance participants to Adam's ride, those fans, who in spite of the naysayers, including me, loved each and every song from Trespassing Album, each and every lyric, personal, introspective.
I think production plays , again, an important role in the song pattern, I think those human voices-like sounds, the hands clapping-like sounds will require an experienced, skillful synth player. But every cloud has a silver lining, they will be easily replaced by real human voices, real hands clapping. In the so eagerly expected live concerts.

Lam-My said...

Hey Pan.....a piece of fine write-up by you too...Bravo! I haven't gone into listening to the details like clapping, synth voices etc. Regarding old school/new school...I like all schools lol! For me, it's Adam mostly. Not so drawn towards Evil In The night, leaning a lot more towards Another Lonely Night, maybe because I'm not so into metallic sound; I'm more towards percussion/drums/rhythms/beats/guitar/
piano. I think you like metallic/rock more. Thank you!!

Kath said...

Yes I was about to ask about the cow moo too.

Anonymous said...

A comment of the "cow" in Youtube:
"I think of it as a robotic yeah, doesn't sound like a moo to me. Actually, I think that the artist Lordes (sp?) used that robotic sound 1st. I like it. And in hearing the 4 songs we've gotten so far, this one is def my fav .. Great lyrics and Adam's vocals are heaven"

Anonymous said...

I like most Another lonely night. A sad song but sounds delightful.

Anonymous said...

Im still so nervous for him. Shouln't his videos have millions more views by now? Is he really gaining that many new fans or is it his main devoted fans that hes had all these years? Is he going to be this mega superstar we all feel he should be? Sorry for being so "debbie downer"... It just makes me nervous and I want this to be his time. I want the world and esp the US to see how special he is. I just imagined it would be happening faster for him this time.

Anonymous said...

I think it sounds like a cow moo too, a very abrupt cow moo. Perhaps Adam will let us know what the sound is at some stage.

Dee R Gee said...

I love both songs! Love the hook in ALN. We have so much new music to embrace right now. GT, UG, ALN, EITN, the upcoming TOH (and I'm loving that snippet, too).

6:07, I know how you feel. It's a frustrating path. We devoted fans know he belongs at the top. All we can do is keep supporting him every step of the way. Lots of competition out there.

donna w said...

Anon. 6.07.........i've been thinking the same thing. With all the publicity Adam's been doing for GT and the album, you'd think there'd be more buzz........if a new song by a huge "star" had come out 3 weeks ago it would be ALL over the radio by now......i'm getting nervous........

Anonymous said...

I love Evil in the night!!! Another Lonely Night is also good, beautiful. But why cow?

Magiclady said...

I have to admit when I first listened to the snippet of "ALN" on I-tunes I didn't really like it. Now that I have listened to the whole song, it is growing on me, but I am confused about the MOO too. It is so abrupt and seems to conflict.
I disagree that a song can't grow on you. I was unsure about "Ghost Town" at first but I love it now.
"EITN" I immediately loved perhaps because it has more of a rock sound to me.
The songs on this album have been an adjustment for me because I am used to Adam's other music, but I understand the need for the more current sound and can't wait to hear the rest of the album.

Anonymous said...

@6:07 & 6:42 Adam is not a big star in the US. Hopefully this new album will make him the star that he should be. His singles will not shoot up the charts until he is a very well established stars. He has not had anything new for three years. That is a long time to not have any new music. He does basicly have the same fans with some new ones and some that have lost interest. He is pretty much starting over as a new artist reinventing himself and his image. He realized he is going to have to conform a little , if he is going to succeed. I honestly thinkbthat is way he has a whole new band. He has to distance himself from Tommy and the infamous VMA performance. I hope ERA3 is his time to shine. I don't mean this to sound negative at all. Adam should be a Hugh star by now and I hope this does it for him. This is just my take on things and am probably over thinking as I always do.

Anonymous said...

I loved Adam's first two cd's For Your Entertainment and Trespassing(they sound like Adam) and I like "Ghost Town" but these other songs are trying to hard to be pop. I also think Adam has pretty much explored loss of relationships a LOT. I'm looking forward to hearing the other songs...Adam ;likes change and his hair changes and his music changes etc. but it" seems" to gain more fans the words have to be simpler..the look... I don't know. He looked gorgeous in the "Ghost Town" video. I am not saying that he is not gorgeous because he IS,but what made him famous is the very thing he makes fun of???YES and I KNOW opinions are like As_ho__s . a lot of them. This is just mine and I too am NOT a troll.

Anonymous said...

We are all overthinking lol and Im the one who started it...6:07... Sorry. It just seems so unfair how quickly so many others gain popularity despite not having anywhere near the talent that Adam does imo. I just look at the number of Subscribers Adam has... And while it has grown I just can't understand how it's not in the millions. This is all baffling to me. I wonder if Warner panics like this. Lol when they look at his numbers compared to Justin and Taylor and so many others who have a HUGE following. His album is coming out so soon... How are they gonna promote him enough to really help by then? Aaaaaaahhhhh. Why do I worry so much??? Lol thanks everyone for letting me get it out.

Anonymous said...

I am afraid to ask this question. Does anyone else here similarities to Adam's voice with Adam Levine's in Evil In The Night. There is one part that it sounds just like him to me. "Keep on a leash tonight". I know Lambert is a million time better vocalist than Levine.

Anonymous said...

As much as I love Adam and I really hope his new album does well I can't help feeling it sounds just like all the other songs on radio, the only difference is Adam's voice which always sounds beautiful but I feel it's wasted with these new songs. The reason I love Trespassing is because of it's originality and uniqueness, I've heard lots of albums over the years but it's very rare to find an album where all the songs sound great. So far the songs I have heard on his new album all sound too much the same.

Anonymous said...

@9:30 That is the problem with going to the most popular producers. all of their music sound pretty much the same, just different word and people singing. I like all the songs so far. I loved Trespassing too!!

Anonymous said...

The "Moo!" definitely sounds like a cow and it MAKES ME SMILE every effin time!

Don't need nor wanna know all the technical details or nuances what they have done producing these songs. It's ALL ADAM, that's all I need to know and hear!

Adam is so much fun, has a great sense of humour - all you overthinkers and worrywa... you should follow his example... The album isn't even out yet!

PS. Could write a book why Adam isn't selling like the biebers and swifts in US, but I think real and realistic fans know the reasons as well... :(

Anonymous said...

I've had the same fears but we usually aren't allowed to express them here and are called a Debbie downer.

The person above is correct, the Ghost Town video should have many more views. If you compare it to other songs by new artists they have millions more views. And compared to established artists.... the number of views on Adam's video is abysmal. The general public just isn't watching it. Adam needs the general public to be watching and listening.... we fans can't make it happen by ourselves.

I am worried if GT doesn't take off in the next week or two that this era and album will turn out like Trespassing.

This album's music is very dance oriented and Adam's voice is buried under all the synthesized sounds. I could deal with that if it helped Adam achieve that worldwide star status we know he deserves but it doesn't leave much for me to like. I hope this foray into dance pop with Max Martin hasn't been a waste.

Anonymous said...

I've heard GT on my radio a few times this week but they keep cutting the song before it gets to the end. For me that's the best part where Adam's voice really stands out, I get the feeling their more interested in the whistle more than his voice, the song isn't too long so why cut it short like this?

Anonymous said...

ALN is lovely, just pours out emotions. Yes, TOH has special spectacular musicianship and vocals, no reason for at least 2 or more to pop radio wide open. Not going to take the debbie down track, but it is what it is, in the industry. jmo I'm thinking our support is what really matters and if it's great and doesn't sell to gp, it's their loss. Adam just got real and laid himself bare.

Anonymous said...

I think a lot of fans went via the way of the Glam. He is really good at that or WAS His management runs the show now. I saw him at theSix Flags and he was more glam(Trespassing) had a great number and it was exciting. Now I think I like him better with Queen because it's GLAM. I hope he will get another tour. I am staying for the ride and I miss his band too. even Monty

Anonymous said...

Hopefully Adam will go to Queen full time soon.

Anonymous said...

I also definitely hear a strange MOO sound, which rudely interrupted my enjoyment of the song. This is my favorite song so far except for the MOO and the unnecessary "F" word.

Unknown said...

Love, love, love, "Another Lonely Night"!!! Ghost Town and ALN my two favorite so far.

BTW..I hear Ghost Town on the radio all the time and so does my daughter.

Can't wait for the album to be released, so excited..

Anne Marie said...

The 'F' word is only on the explicit album. I ordered the other one, it is exchanged for damn, and sounds better too.
But when and if he tours he will always use the 'F' word, unless he has been told to keep it family friendly.
I would also love to see more of him with Queen, after the S A tour, but they can't go on forever, and he still needs his solo work to fall back on.
He said he has only been truly in love twice, and that was his very first love, "Cheeks" and "Sauli" his last.

Anonymous said...

The music almost drowns Adam's voice out on these tracks. He has to sing extra loud to compensate. I prefer his beautiful voice with less strain. Still love Another Lonely Night above all those released so far (despite the cow).

Anonymous said...

Adam didn't mention any names at this particular interview of who he was in love with interview. Not disputing what was said above. I know that he has said many times that Cheek was his first real love and that the breakup between them was very hard. Probably the ending of first loves are the most painful!

Says his love now is TOH. At least he seems so excited with this album. One day he will fine that certain someone; when the time and person is right!! Glad he seems to excited and happy now; knowing how much fan support and love he is receiving from all his fans!!

Adam is so great and interesting in interview. He is so honest and down to earth. Love these tracks so much. This Album is going to be the Bomb!!! Off to gife Ghost Town a few more hits!!

Anonymous said...

Of course Adam would not name any names in the interview, about his first two loves, He did say he had been truly in love twice before. But his only love now is his music.

Anonymous said...

Some people are destined to remain single. They seem to have a really hard time sharing their own life with someone else. They need their alone time, and are satisfied with just having friends around, and not much more.

Anonymous said...

Anne Marie, please stop saying Adam said things he didn't say.

Anne Marie said...

2:26
He didn't name them, but it is common knowledge who they were, from his past statements. He did not name them in this particular interview, but he has named them in other articles.

Anonymous said...

Anne Marie, just stop it. You do not know for sure who Adam is talking about. You need to stop saying you know what Adam means.

You misrepresented that interview by saying it like Adam actually said names. That is not good when not all fans have listened to the interview and may rely on what is said in comments.

Anne Marie said...

3:08
Just stop it. You do not know for sure who Adam is talking about. You need to stop saying what Adam means. It is not good for other fans to see your comments that tear other people apart. This is a peaceful site, and we have no need for you and your snarky comments. You need to see a psychiatrist, and find out what is wrong with you. You totally ignore that this an Adam site, and not a site to pick apart other peoples comments.

Anonymous said...

That's just crazy.

Anonymous said...

Why should not the names in question be mentioned here?

There may be more "significant others", other names in his past love life, but the ones Anne Marie mentioned are common knowledge in this fandom, verified by Adam himself a long time ago.

Some of you really need to take a chill pill. ;)

Anonymous said...

Maybe Adam was talking about Drake or Bridger or some other boyfriend. Adam may have mentioned different loves along the way but we don't know all the details.

The most important part is to not make it sound like Adam specifically said something in an interview.

Anonymous said...

In this interview he said he has been in love a couple of times.

Everybody who has followed and listened to Adam's interviews during these years know that the names mentioned by Anne Marie are among those couple of times... Let's not play dumb - or holier than ... - Adam has never said anything of "that magnitude" about Drake or Bridger or any other guy in public.

Okay, please stop the constant picking on @Anne Marie... You know who you are..

Thank you..

Those of us who have been fans of Adam since the first note he sang on IDOL, probably do seem like "worry worts" when we read negative comments or don't see the numbers increase in regard to the new album and the singles we have heard. Even though Adam probably has the best voice in the music industry today, he is not part of a boy band or a young teen performer or an established artist who attracts the tween and teen buying music audience today. With all the recent interviews Adam has done, he is articulate, intelligent, witty and charming, but will this help promote the new album and increase sales? I certainly hope so. The music industry today is so unpredicatable and crazy, so who knows what will become a hit and catch the ear of the listening audience. I am somewhat ambivalent about the four songs I have heard so far from TOH and read some of my own thoughts in many of the comments posted here. I guess we can speculate all we want, but once the album is released and we look at the reception it gets and the sales numbers, then Adam will know where his career is going and whether or not there will be a tour. I loved his performances with Queen, but we all know he wants to be a successful solo artist with his own career and hopefully that will happen with TOH.

Anonymous said...

Thankey glitzylady, though this thread might be already old.
I need to say I'm glad about the recent interview of Adam's in Chicago, the audience was of all ages, a good example of the true fandom Adam has, people were great, the fans had good questions, the interviewer was diverse and fluent and Adam smiled enjoying the whole thing through. It is his big dream coming into reality, his new music coming out and people dancing to it and all the radio play this time around a huge relief!:D IMO it was also a pleasure hearing, what I already as a long time fan knew about Adam's personal life from Adam himself. The closest we'll get about it these days and I'm happy for it:)))! And now on to the next Adam-day! \O/
