Adam, david cook and jordin Sparks are putting out music now and struggling to get promo. Too bad they couldn't be on this season.

Idol has run its course. I'm so grateful we got Adam from it. He was on when the show was still strong and relevant. Next year's final season will probably be a big celebratory tribute to lots of former judges and contestants.

Well, if it has to end, it better goes out with a big "Bang"! I'm still watching Idol even though I get annoyed at times. Can't stand The Voice. Have only watched snippets but I'm turned off by the big egos in there.

Both with Idol and The Voice, neither show has produced a major recording artist in the last two years. Who even remembers all of their names? When the judges on these shows become the focus rather than the performers, then it becomes obvious why the numbers for viewers has dropped. Too many talent/singing/reality shows out there also and a show like Idol seems to be struggling with high salaries for the judges and Seacrest. I am so glad that I watched season 8 to see Adam Lambert and have been a fan since then. As has been seen, you don't have to be the winner to have a successful career in the music/entertainment industry.
