Adam Lambert is an American Idol, a front man for Queen and a
Grammy-nominated, top-selling solo artist; now, he's heading to
Worcester's Mechanics Hall for Christmas.
Lambert is set to headline the annual WXLO 104.5 FM Christmas Show, XLO's Acoustic Xmas; except that, this year, will be the "Almost" Acoustic Xmas in deference to Lambert's preference to appear with a full band.
The show will be held Thursday, Dec. 10, starting at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 9 for the general public, or Wednesday, Oct.7 for members of the radio station's eclub. Tickets cost $55 and $65.
More guest artists will be announced by the radio station in the upcoming weeks. Past XLO's Acoustic Xmas shows have featured Train, The Fray, Daughtry, Gavin DeGraw, Barenaked Ladies, Andy Grammer, and O.A.R, among others.

Not bad! spend Christmas with Adam. I wrote a Christmas story last year but it seemed a long time ago. Mmm, maybe I'll dig it up and give it a little dusting. The actual scenario was he was hanging out footloose with a group at a resort. And there was some speculation Sauli was with him...can't exactly recall the place, plausibly Mexico. My story mentions an 'upcoming project'...most likely The Original High which none of us knew about then.
A very short Christmas story...
Bert was spending some quiet time on an island; gathering momentum for an upcoming project. He went cycling around the island, taking in the fresh air and pristine sights. He looked up into the clear blue sky and then...a small moving object caught his eye. It was zooming towards him and as it got closer, Bert saw a guy gliding across the sky like James Bond. 'Wow! I wish I could do that !' thought Bert. Soon it was clear someone was parachuting down to him and lo and behold, what a wonderful Christmas surprise delivered from the sky. Yes, you guessed it...Saul was shouting out: 'Merry Christmas Bert !' And soon a song was heard in the air:
We three kings of Orient are
Bearing gifts we traverse afar
Field and fountain, moor and mountain
Following yonder star
O Star of wonder, star of night
Star with royal beauty bright
Westward leading, still proceeding
Guide us to thy Perfect Light
Whoa! it touched Bert and slowly the parachutist, Saul, landed right in front of his bike. They hugged, their blue eyes met and their broad smile, so effervescent. Soon, Bert and Saul were riding their double-pillion bike winding round the whole island till dusk crept in and they decided to cycle back to Bert's chalet a mile away for their Christmas turkey dinner; with two nostalgic silver candles flickering on the rosewood table. Ahh, do you remember those 2 silver candles in Bert/Glampire's mansion where they spent their last Christmas...

Since he is Jewish and does not celebrate Christmas, I wonder if Adam will sing anything seasonal?
Winter Wonderland would be nice, or Sleigh Ride, Jinglebell Rock or Spin Little Dreidel!!!
What a beautiful hall and the acoustics are suppose
to be great . . Adam in a Xmas show . . what will he sing?
It only seats about 1600 . . I would love to hear his voice in this hall
and maybe get closer . . but I like my Adam a little naughty after dark

How about ... The Prayer?? That's one of my favorite duets (not Christmas ... but close) and ADAM sings it sooo Beautifully!! Gives me chills to hear him sing it!! And it doesn't have to be a duet ... he can sing it solo & maybe even add some Jewish too!!
