I saw this on twitter and came here to see if everyone' s is excited, I guess most of you are still asleep. Wed 9.40 here in NZ.
Apparently this will reach 92 million people, what a coup!!! I have googled the song its beautiful,Leona has a very good voice like Adam (well, no one is like Adam)
I saw snippets of him singing a Christmas song also. I am not familiar with the show but, fans have been asked not to release videos till it is aired.

Not a huge country music fan, there are some artists and songs that I enjoy, but this is awesome for Adam. A completely different audience for him and I like this song. And I can watch on my TV! Saw Adams instagram and something about a private jet. I am guessing he was on his way to Nashville.

I was thinking when I first saw this that they must have meant Levune but I see that Shoshanna Stine just sent out the link as a confirmation.

Hey Simon! Adam DOES do country ;) !!!!. I think "Girl Crush" was a crossover in some pop radio targets in the country. Sam Smith's song is all over pop/AC stations. Country has gotten more "user friendly" over the years. I LOVE the song, and Adam and Leona will kill it! Not sure how Adam fits in with the lyrics though! LOL!

Wow! Talk about a big surprise! Adam is as far away from country music as you could get, but I listened to the original of this song, and it's PERFECT. It's beautiful but with an edge and the lyrics are perfect for Adam's rather risky persona. He and Leona will be great together.

Not to mention, of course, his exposure to millions who likely have never heard him sing. He's breaking into a totally new realm here, which is a great thing. I'm not saying that all those country music fans will become Adam fans, but they sure will hear a guy that they may know very little about (or have a pre-conceived notion about). I agree that this is MAJOR coup for Adam. Who would have thought!!

Just fast forwarded through it (cause I can't sit though a boring country song) and it was pretty tame and uncontroversial

I love Girl Crush! I heard it on the Voice last season and the woman who sang it was terrific! (of course did not win.haha) Adam is the perfect choice for anything a little off center, if you can call Girl Crush that.lol Love Leona Lewis as well! This will be something very special! GO ADAM!!!!!!!!!!! as you said, one song at a time!

I'm curious to see how they arrange the song. It's strictly a solo for a female vocalist. I'm sure they will change it up and it will be great.

I just had a brilliant idea for Adam and Leona's duet with Girl Crush! Adam sings Girl Crush with "him" instead of "her". Then Leona sings the song as it was intended "her". They can then combine their voices, each singing the song their own way. Call me crazy but that would be HOT!

It was controversial because it's a girl singing about having a crush on a girl,but if you listen to the lyrics, she's saying she's jealous of the girl who's with her man. It's a great song, and I think difficult to sing, thus Adam and Leona.

Well, more importantly will we have decent full videos of last night? I'm getting worried we'll never have a footage of his specially great performance...esp. THE LIGHT of course. He looked gorgeous and saw he was so into it and dancing in the IG snippet.

This will be something to see! Adam sure amped up Ring of Fire on Idol. I never thought I'd see the day he'd be on a country music show! What a great platform for Adam to show a different side of him, so unlike the glitter, makeup persona that many still believe he favors. I think they'll be pleasantly surprised & see him in a new more masculine light that's more comfortable & accepted in country music territory. I can't wait to watch & hope he'll be warmly welcomed & appreciated.
