Earlier we posted a few of Adam's tweets in tribute to David Bowie after it was reported yesterday that the legendary glam rocker and one of music's most enduring artists passed away after a long battle with cancer.
After Glitzylady posted his first tweets, Adam subsequently tweeted three more times singing Bowie's praises:

I love how Bowie challenged people's perception of gender stereotypes and what an Outsider truly was. He was SO ahead of his time

A Lambert/Bowie duet performance would have rocked the music world. Adam wanted so much to meet him. He mentioned Bowie's name every time he was asked about who he'd love to meet. Adam was truly inspired and given courage through David Bowie.
All I can say to Adam is, PLEASE don't lose your edge. Music evolves, genres change. But never settle for the mundane or middle of the road. We fell in love with you for being quite the opposite. No, you don't need heavy make-up or spiked shoulders or tons of glitter. But you DO need the special qualities that set you apart. Voice, attitude, universal sensuality, riskiness, lyrics filled with substance, yet fun and joyous, a naturally kind heart, and the courage to not compromise too much. Remember Bowie. Please.
When I re-watch Adam's performances, I feel there is no comparison to the sensual way he used to dance juxtaposed against the way he now dances. He throws in a little more moves when he performs with Queen. Nile really brings out Adam's innate sensuality as they perform, "LET'S DANCE". I miss the risky wild Adam, even though I will take him any way I can get him. I look forward to the day when he shaves off that facial hair and takes us through an unforgettable version of David Bowie songs with his incredible dance moves. Even Elvis was just too sexy for society and had to tone down his performances. Adam has beautifully evolved, but I know that "BORN TO BE WILD" is still underneath there, lightly wrapped for now, but just waiting for the right time to break the loosely tied ribbon to the perfect audience..........David Bowie, you will be sorely missed on this earth. How we loved your attitude, your creativity and fearlessness as you lived your life. Adam greatly admired you. Margarita Lady
When I heard of this, I thought of Adam right away. I was waiting for a post from Adam. He really loved what Bowie did to the music industry. This as so sad. My heart goes out to the family and friends.
