Adam, the 21st century Lawrence of Arabia / Peter O'Toole...there is a slight resemblance, the blue eyes and he's heading to Dubai/UAE. lwl!

I'm sorry, no offense meant, but I've always wondered why such comparisons are made in the first place.... and considered a compliment. Adam is a VERY unique and talented person... and really only resembles himself! Paula Abdul was right... he will be iconic.

But IMO, comparing him to Dean, Presley, Mercury, O'Toole, Jackson, Bowie, etc., etc., is comparing apples and oranges --- as is comparing them with each other also.

It is normal human behavior to make comparisons and find similarities. How is it not a compliment to be compared with icons like Dean or O'Toole, Bowie, etc.

Nanbert and Unknown...you both have valid opinions.
Actually, I wasn't comparing Adam with anyone; it was more the situation that Adam was heading for Dubai, that made the Lawrence of Arabia comparison crop up. Mmm how about a movie with Adam wearing a white Arab robe and headgear, riding a camel in the Arabian Desert singing... Another day another lonely night...I'll do anything to have your mirage by my side...lwl!

I'm not really comparing per se but from the first time on AI that ADAM wore his hair slicked back instead of around his lovely face he 'reminded' me of a young Rock Hudson/Tony Curtis. Especially the photos in DETAIL mag. Breath-taking young Hollywood!! JMO

I guess comparing a person to some celebrity kind of confers a celebrity status to them.... i.e. a compliment.

It wouldn't work so well if I said he has the same "vibe" as my mailman! Hahaha.

However, there WAS a photo (possibly one of the Details studies) where Adam's hair draped down partially over his face, looking slightly down in profile,... that was a dead-ringer for Clark Gable! Hahaha!

And, I do like the desert/robe/sheik idea....how about a musical Lawrence of Arabia? I wonder if Adam can ride a horse...or camel? Hmmmm.
