On Monday’s premiere, actually, there was one contestant who was so good, and such a veteran, that frankly it’s shocking she hasn’t already won a Grammy: Alisan Porter. Diehard American Idol fans may recognize her, due to her associations with Randy Jackson (whose entertainment company Dream Merchant 21 signed Alisan’s old band, the Canyons) and longtime friend Adam Lambert (Alisan co-wrote the power ballad “Aftermath” on Lambert’s 2009 debut album).
Given Alisan’s (non-Curly) credentials – this is a woman who’s shared the stage with Adam Lambert, after all – it wasn’t surprising that she slayed her audition. A standing ovation ensued, and the fight between all four coaches began in earnest. Both Adam and Christina ran onstage to hug Alisan, with Christina practically refusing to return to her red chair.
But Adam, also a cutthroat competitor, broke out his usual shameless hyperbole by exclaiming, “That was the most flawless, passionate, pitch-perfect thing I’ve ever heard in my life. You’re gonna win The Voice!“

Just came from this site & I must say the comments on Yahoo are mean & so uninformed about the Voice ... as well as the other things said there ... too many to pinpoint ... but I think Alisan deserves better comments than some of the ones I read ... I even reported one it was so raunchy & when I was asked why I didn't like the comment ... I almost lost it but I kept my composure while I bit my tongue!! I hate Yahoo ....
