Adam Lambert: "Freddie's
voice has so much texture to it. It’s super sexy. He kind of grabs at
everything, he squeezes it. He was completely over the top in the best
possible way."
Ok, I went to the link and saw "Karen O" as the first artist shown, but what do you click on to get to the list? Can't seem to find it. What am I not seeing?
I do have to mention that this article is almost 3 years old (from September 2013).. And if truth be told, Adam is more than just inspired by Freddie Mercury, he's fronting Queen.. That's more than any of the other artists quoted in the article can say. :))))
I suspect if this article had been written today, there might have been more than a small mention that Adam Lambert was inspired by Freddie, because now Adam himself will always be part of the Queen legend.. At first I thought it was odd that they didn't even mention that Adam had even at that point in time been closely associated with Queen, but after seeing the publications date it made more sense, sort of. Oh well..
Just a note: I've been seeing a lot of older interviews, older articles, etc., floating around lately, perhaps because there's been a little lull in the action since Adam left Australia after his X Factor AU audition judging activities.. Thankfully he's (apparently) having a little down time, (well, who really knows for sure, he could be still working even as we speak, on some other project, but hoping he's just enjoying his home in LA and seeing friends).. Well deserved Adam, well deserved!!!
fluttsp, thanks. I did see that arrow before but it didn't seem to work so I thought there was another link. It worked this time. glitzy, thanks for pointing out that this is three years old. Adam is now a MAJOR player in the Queen legacy (and will always be part of their history; I LOVE that.) You're right. There's a lot of old stuff floating around about Adam, not all of it accurate. I hope he's relaxing but also getting some work accomplished. Seems like when we think he's just hanging around with friends, etc., we find out that he's been working hard with someone on a project. It's been announced that he'll be working with MM again for his next album, so that's a major thing. His management and his label have faith in him.
