Does it make anyone else think " Wuthering Heights" ? Heathcliff !๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ˜Œ
Since I've spent most of my life as a librarian--everything reminds me of
novels.๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ“š

Yes, Lucy, I can see that! ....... the vast moors in the background-- and the dark, foreboding sky setting the mood.

Golly, it's more than 60 years since I read "Wuthering Heights"! Am I correct in my memory of there being "moors"?

Lucy said...

Oh yes, there are definitely moors---take your boots---and read it again! It improves with age.

Nanbert said...

Haha, Lucy - I won't need the boots...unfortunately. And, don't all classics improve with age? I've read you are a Shakespeare aficionado -- as am I. I had a ball revisiting the Bard with my grandson during his senior year this year.

That's why they call them "classics" ๐Ÿ˜‰ !!!!!!

Hey.... I'm old enough to be one myself! Classic, that is...

P/S I didn't mention that during my 83 years, I have acquired and honed SUPERB TASTE..... that's why I am an Adam Lambert fan!!!! I was always a classic music person before---- but Adam is the Pied Piper!! The first time I heard his voice....well.... you know!

Nanbert said...

Lucy -- I hoped you realized that I was joshing when I said I had "Superb Taste" (above)-- well.... at least a little. Some people misunderstand my sense of humor.

@ Nanbert----I gotcha. My music tastes range from Vivaldi to Ravel to Borodin to Aerosmith to Ronan Keating to Kansas to Sinatra to Adam. And I left out about 600 others❗️

@Lucy...I love Vivaldi, Bach especially, and have never gotten over Pavarotti's death. And I
have always especially liked Queen's music because it is so rock-opera monumental. Now, with Adam's voice at the helm, I can't get enough of it....PERFECT! Of course, I love Adam singing ANYTHING (which he sings better than anyone else!).

BTW..appreciate your help earlier-- sorry you got zapped, too. "TITP" safety tips should be the cure!

Lucy said...

@ Nanbert-------Don't fret, I'm unzappable--actually since I know "je suis innocent" ๐Ÿ˜‡ I kind of get a kick out of foolish, furious, frothing, fatuous, flaky, frenetic farce. But TITP is my motto.

P.S. Pavarotti was a gift, but I have to admit Placido Domingo stole my heart on the opera stages๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’•

Nanbert said...

Placido was a close second for me... certainly better looking/slimmer. But Adam came along and I never looked back. Weird, I'm STILL not into "pop" music... just "Adam" music. Looking back, I can see why...my two much-loved non-classic voices were John Denver and Steve Perry (of "Journey")-- both amazing tenors with soaring voices that gave me goosebumps.

BTW.. Je suis d'accord, vous etes innocent. Go ahead and get your kicks out of those 7 "F's". Just don't try to "cross the road" when they are parading by! Or, lo and behold, you might get propounded to death!!!!!

Lucy said...

Ah, mom amie--Steve Perry. ๐Ÿ‘ฉ‍❤️‍๐Ÿ‘ฉ I missed him so when he left Journey, but I play their hits and goosebump right up.
I'm sorry I haven't been around much for several months--I think I would have enjoyed knowing you sooner!

I've been helping out with some family health problems out of state and seemingly out of this century! No computers and no cell phones!!!

Nanbert said...

You know "Journey" is touring now with a new singer who sounds like Perry's clone. Eerie!

I hope your family health problems are resolved.... for the better. I know what that's like. When my mother got alzheimers, I left Pittsburgh to live with and care for her in her New Jersey home for her last two years. My sister lived nearby, and helped as much as she could when she was not at work, but it was still a sad and lonely time. No computers there, either.

BTW.. I realize I should have put quotation marks around "lo and behold" and "propounded" at the end of my previous comment at 7:55 pm.

It's been a peaceful day, hasn't it.
