The only catch is that it’s happening in Australia.

And you might look at the picture, and you might think a few things. You might think “Adam Lambert isn’t the biggest star in the world”....

There are probably all sorts of complicated/semi-boring reasons, involving advertising and demographics, for the X Factor Australia panel looking like that while the X Factor UK panel looks like this. But the clip below is so full of excitement and energy and a sense of trying to push things forward a bit that you do rather wonder how all that fell out of the UK version.

Apparently, the X Factor AU news is getting good coverage in the UK, too. Nice boost for Adam and his visibility there. Getting these singing show judging jobs is a real career coup. They are few and far between. To be chosen is a recognition of at least SOME star power in the huge world of show business. Good for Adam!!!

Adam can now take this off his bucket list but it would be lovely if he could get a judging gig closer to home.

It seems Mel B. might be "The Underdog Judge". Apparently she gets on very well with Simon .... he likes her "straight talking" so maybe she's even more "spicey" than Adam. She's been a judge/mentor on The X Factor Australia a number of times & she's been a judge/mentor on The X Factor UK & various other talent competitions including America's Got Talent, Australia's Got Talent & The Voice Kids Australia. So it seems she'd bring a lot of judging/mentoring experience to the table.

"The Underdog Judge" will be judge/mentor for those who weren't successful at the auditions.
