Wah! What a smashing twilight photo; again this is taken by a master photographer probably using the latest all-time Nikon.
It seems as though Japan can't get enough of QAL, after adding a third concert that sold out again immediately. Next thing is to make QAL a "national treasure"... and keep them! How wonderful for Queen and Adam Lambert to be so loved! Videos of their last concerts there were amazing-- the fans were so completely engaged and in love with them --- and knew the words to all the songs. When Adam sang "I Was Born To Love You", many were reduced to tears. I love watching the superb videos of their Tokyo concert from the live Television program. Would love to have a DVD of that! These next three concerts will have to be some of the most joyful of all QAL concerts... I envy them.
I've watched the video of I Was Born to Love You more times than I can count. Love that song!
Jak - that song, "I Was Born To Love You ", has a special meaning to the Japanese. As I understand it, it was a kind of theme song for a popular Japanese soap opera...originally sung by Freddie Mercury, and therefore loved by the Japanese (and Korea, too, I believe). As you may have noticed, Queen has the habit of performing "Special" songs in many countries that have a certain "meaning" to those countries, and "I Was Born To Love You" is a "special" one for Japan. I also understand that QAL only had 2 practices to ready that song for performance-- remember, it was completely new to Adam. But, as the videos by the local TV station (WOWOW, I believe) show, Adam nailed it!Take a look at the WOWOW TV video of that song. Near the end of the song, the camera will catch a shot of Brian happily grinning back at Roger to share his delight at Adam's performance. A special moment!
P.S. The above mentioned moment was from the TV video of the Tokyo concert. It was a fantastic concert!! No wonder Tokyo has three sold out concerts on Sept. 21, 22, 23 of September 2016! They can't get enough of QAL and/or Adam!
P.S.S. Jak, forgot to add that I love "I Was Born To Love You" too. It is one of my favorite "go to" songs!
