Looks like things are getting underway for THE TOUR!

New look Adam!!!:) Can't wait to rock with you again!!!:)

Wonder if he will keep THIS look. Don't know whether I should "convert"... or wait a bit until I'm sure this is "THE LOOK".

Constantly "adjusting" is hard work. By the time I have "capitulated", he is on to something new. Sigh, I'm getting too old for this stuff!

Also, there's still the costumes to contend with! Worry, worry!

No doubt there is a lot less stress when one is a fan of a "plain vanilla" performer.

Probably less fun, though!

Yikes, not a fan of this look at all.

How did his hairstylist make him think this was flattering, I guess there are ways to make Adam look a lot less attractive after all. His hair is one of his best features, so his stylist says "let's shave most of it off and what's left we'll make green"? Artistic license can often backfire.

His other shots in LA, we thought the green hair might be the lighting, but now I am not so sure. Is this his rehearsal hair, or will it be completely changed up, seems a lot thinner hair on top. Could be more manageable for the tour, a lot less work to get it right. This he simply has to comb it down over his forehead. Not much face fur either. Didn't bother with any makeup for rehearsals either. Is it hot where they are going, if it is, watch out for his variety of shorts.

Anne Marie... you said that bad word..SHORTS!

The two things I dislike most on Adam are..1. Hair shaved off on sides, and 2. Shorts.

Now I'm waiting for "the other shoe (#2) to drop"! Oh woe!

My thoughts: Adam styles his hair with whatever strikes his fancy at the moment.. This was a rehearsal, not a concert.. so casual would be the "feel" for the day.. This style is very casual, easy yet edgy.. Tomorrow may bring another look.. and color.. Personally I like it: it's fun and yay for Adam for daring to be different (for the one millionth or so time!).. It's definitely a bit shorter than we're used to seeing him with, but whatever makes him happy and comfortable.. And he's funnier than h**l here! It must feel great to be back with his friends and fellow musicians of Queen who love and respect him to pieces.. And YESSSSSS!!!! so excited for the Queen shows to begin (wishing I was going to at least one of them but nope...)..

I figured out how this happened.... after being "stranded" on an Greek island with 30,000 "gay guys"... Adam finally "went Native" again. Looks like he's giving Brian a few lessons, too.

Also, notice all the ear adornment. That's to distract one from noticing there's no hair around them!

Unless he has another haircut before the tour starts, the sides will grow a bit and look better. Seems like the shaved sides is a trend right now with a lot of guys. Adam has died his hair many colors before, so we won't know until we see im on stage. Talking about that, can we expect any videos, they were in very short supply on the last tour. I think Brian had something to do with that.

Anne Marie said...

meant 'dyed' not died.

Adam changes his hair style as often as he changes his underwear, was gonna say socks, but he doesn't wear any. LOL

Hair . . . hair . . . . . I want lots of hair!!!!!

I know it's just hair and not trying to be analytical about it, but if Adam likes to march to the beat of a different drum, why does he have a look that every so-called LA hipster probably has in every LA underground club? If it is a trend, is it not also a cliché? I like certain components of his "edgy" look but he is not going to locations known for their pursuit of "edgy" ( Japan has a young edgy culture but doubt that Queen is considered alternative enough for them).

Nanbert said...

BTW... I thought Adam was going to have a photo "session". Like that?

If he has a session like he is now, then I guess we should expect to see this new Adam for a long while.

I agree with Anonymous8, "edgy" is not the best choice for the areas they're performing in next... nor do I think it very compatible with Queen.... Glam, yes..Edgy, no. IMO. I also agree that it does NOT make Adam more attractive!

Combed forward or back...don't care. But at least have SOMETHING to comb on the sides!

Adam's hair grows like crazy. He once said, "I'm a grower" in reference to his hair. I like it safe and handsome, freaky and funky, black, green, whatever. He is gorgeous and fun. When you look at Freddie's stage persona during his Queen shows, he was CRAZY edgy and out there. Who knows? By Monday, Adam may have changed the color and decided to comb it back. His haircut is very versatile on purpose. He can do a lot with the top hair. It's my guess that he likes the sides short because it makes his face look thinner, but that's just a guess. Once he's up on stage and starts to sing, his looks just add to the magic. Queen isn't a band that likes to just blend in.

Adam referred some new bells and whistles for this tour, along with some backdrop or scenery , along with some costume changes for him. Sounds exciting. Wasn't expecting any of the bells or whistles to be about his hair, LOL. Wonder if anyone has told him, he is so much sexier in long tight pants, instead of long baggy drop crotch shorts.

Nanbert said...

I often wonder if he reads any of these entries, and just goes in the opposite direction from what we'd like....just to.... 1. Show us who's in control...2. Keep us on our toes...3 Test our love and loyalty.

Maybe if we just keep quiet, everything would go back to normal.....Whatever THAT is!

Anne Marie said...

I don't think Adam has a "normal". He scrutinizes all new styles of clothes and hair, and picks what appeals to him. I think we all do a bit of that. Adam is just a tad more extreme than most of us.

glitzylady said...

Adam is a special man, in many ways.. I don't expect "normal" i.e. "average Joe" from him as a general rule.. And I don't think he does what he does to spite us, his fans, or control us... etc.. . He has fans in all walks of life, all over the world, all genders, sexualities, ages.. What appeals to one, doesn't always appeal to another.. I assume Adam does most things because they appeal to him, or he's going for a "look" for one reason or another.. But throughout my journey as a fan of Adam Lambert's, from American Idol until today, and beyond, I've loved his ability to fit into a wide spectrum of scenarios, and he generally is spot on for the event, for the part he plays, the concert he's doing, with the occasional self admitted miss, which happens to all of us on occasion...

I suspect his current hair (short, spiky, a little green..) etc.. *may* have played a part of the photo shoot that we haven't seen yet, that we know he did a day or so ago... Perhaps for a very specific product i.e. modeling, etc.. Very excited to see whatever comes out of that photo shoot.. Product endorsement, magazine, etc.. etc.. So excited for Adam, whatever it may be...

Re his upcoming concerts with Queen: a bottle of hair dye will change the color if he choses to do so, and bottle of hair gel, some spray, will change the style in a flash if he wishes.. And the sides will grow out.. I do like it down like this (sexy..).. But tomorrow, we may very well see a different look.

@glitzylady: What you've said about Adam is something that has struck me as well. His good taste, his natural instinct on what's appropriate for and event, performance, etc...

...and @Nanbert: I had to laugh at your first comment about constantly adjusting *lol*

Anne Marie said...

I think part of Adam's up bringing has taught him how to dress appropriately. for a formal occasion or a casual event. His mother has instilled some basic ideas about dressing correctly for some events. I am appalled at the lack of respect, or ignorance, some celebrities arrive at some of the big events. Adam always looks great, and it is noticed by the media and fans.

Nanbert said...

Glitsylady ... I did not ACTUALLY mean that Adam did that haircut to "spite" us, control us, or test us. I was joking... but it appears that sometimes my sense of humor is misunderstood.
The main problem may be that I write the way I talk, and tone of voice and expression are so important in conveying meaning. Sarcasm, especially, suffers.

Truth be told, I am something of a novice with computers, cell phones, etc.....and not used to communicating with disembodied strangers. Just because we share a common interest does not mean that you will UNDERSTAND me in the same way as a close friend or relative would.

But, for the record, I would still be Adam's avid fan if he shaved his head (oh, no, no!), and wearing bangs is great, as well as dyeing his hair multicolored... I just think he looks MUCH more handsome with more hair on the SIDES of his head. And I am also aware that what I think will have no effect on the outcome.... but I defend my right to grumble!

Be aware, everyone, that if Adam wears shorts... I intend to grumble again!!!!

And "dropped crotches" runs a close third...i.e. grumble-worthy!

Anne Marie said...

Ha ha Nanbert. A lot of guys look good in shorts, but Adam , really doesn't have the legs for shorts, especially ones down over his knees. Another fashion most all the guys are doing , including Adam, is not wearing socks, with formal shoes. I would think it would be uncomfortable, but Adam is very conscious of what he considers "cool". We are totally free to "grumble" if we want to, and not officially hurt Adam, who doesn't really care what we think about his clothing. He went to Mykonos with a very high end stylist, has me scared if he helped him with his wardrobe for Qual, and X-Factor. Not sure if he is the same stylist that he had before, for his solo tour. But he went to Mykonos and seemed to be staying with Adam when they got home, either that or they went to a lot of places with Terrance as well.

Adding a "LOL" after your comment or a JK (just kidding) or even a Haha! or a :)))) or a winky face ;))) is what helps on social media to help others understand our intent.. Helps a lot actually! Because, yes, in this faceless, anonymous world of social media, comment sections on blogs.. that we live in now, we need ways of making ourselves more clear to others.. SO many misunderstandings can arise otherwise! We see that happen here on occasion, sometimes with very sad results.. I did feel the need to explain myself though in light of some of the responses in comments above.. :)))))))) We don't have the option of using icons from our phones here in comment sections, which is another option when available.. That sometimes clarifies meaning as well.. It's tricky for sure!

Nanbert said...

Anne Marie...at the risk of sounding like an "old fogie", I have to lament the good old days...when people wore SHORTS, real shorts.....not these wimpy things that stop just above or below the knees. They are so unflattering to anyone's legs, male or female.

Going to a basketball game was a real pleasure in those days...or a fight... or soccer...or track...or tennis...at the beach, etc. You could see whole legs...not ones at half-mast! And, legs look a LOT better with thighs!

And, for the record, Adam has Great Thighs! Check out photos of those tight black leather pants, if you don't believe me.

Sometime about mid-century (1940-50's) someone discovered "bermuda shorts", and they quickly became "very cool"! It's been downhill ever since. You younger folks don't even know what you've been missing!

Unknown said...

Oh dear Nanbert! You're hilarious! I'm basically roaring over here :))))

I'm not a fan of drop-crotches or this below the knees thing either, but I do like above-the-knees bermudas on guys. I'm not so sure if I'd like short shorts, kind of like hot-pants on guys^^...

On myself I'm a full length or short shorts person as well. I'm not necessarily short but I don't have long legs so mid length pants don't work for me that well, I think. Although they do flatter other girls.

I just love the emotion you put into this. I feel you over here ;)

Nanbert said...

Marion M...now that you mention it, I guess I DO get a little emotional about thighs. But doesn't everybody?
