The Guardian: "Rocky Horror Picture Show" Review: Adam Lambert's "Hot Patootie" '..Should be considered the definitive version.." according to the reviewer.
Reviews of RHPS on FOX have been mixed (and this one is an example of that) as to the total production depending on the reviewer's perspective & point of view: some quite positive, others less so, but the ONE thing that has stood out are the reviews of Adam Lambert's portrayal of "Eddie". They have been unanimously A+++ and glowing!

It’s still a great script with great music and some of the performances are just as good, if not better than, the original. Carney and Milian as Riff Raff and Magenta (their costumes in the finale are a vast improvement over the silly originals) and McCartan and Justice as Brad and Janet are all good. Adam Lambert plays the small but key role of Eddie originated by Meatloaf and manages to deliver what should be considered the definitive version of Hot Patootie Bless My Soul.

Exactly! The reviews have been mixed, but the accolades for Adam have been universal. I think his role will shine bright and continue to bring him positive attention. So excited about tonight!
Love the press Adam getting as it's all good which can't be said for the entire production... but this has never been a mainstream movie. It's meant for those who do or want to let their freak flag fly.
I'm still watching out of the corner of my eye ... ADAM is gone so I can take or leave the rest of the show until the reprise where ADAM & Ivy duet .. Science Fiction/Double Feature ... then I'll buy the CD from Amazon (I don't deal with iTunes!! Guess I'm too old for 'camp'!! I LOVED ADAM's part as short as it was though!!

I read where Meatloaf was NOT happy that Adam got this part because he is such a huge fan of Adams and knew Adam would blow him out of the water. I'm sorry Meatloaf, but I watched your rendition both before and after the air date and I'm sorry but what you worried about came to fruition. Don't feel to bad though because it just plain happens wnever and wherever Adam goes. Its his insane talent and I mean INSANE talent. His fans are just patiently waiting for that moment when the U.S. (especially) realizes this. I am hoping (and predicting) this helps Adam on his home turf. It should, just as it did for Katherine McPhee but then again it's never been fair for Adam. I just don't get it. Adam, you nailed it! His singing just....well, you all know!
