Producer Codeko has just uploaded his latest release, this time in a euphoric and vocal-centered remix of Tritonal and Jeneaux’s “Broken,” featuring singer Adam Lambert. Coming as just one version in a series of remixes on Enhanced, Codeko’s take highlights the most memorable parts of the original, all while placing them in the domain of his own unique style.
The track begins with crisp, soaring vocals above distant piano phrases and a warm layer of bass. Laser blasts and and powerful percussion strikes carry the song upwards into the drop, where thick layers of synth and cascading, high-pitched chops take over the space. The elements are stripped away to leave the vocals on their lonesome, until a new rhythm is introduced behind them. The track climbs high once more, dropping off in the same swirling bliss as the first drop.
