Where is he going?

My unofficial guess is he's upgrading. Perhaps to a home with a little more privacy, perhaps a larger lot. But no info at all yet. We'll know eventually. This listing just appeared today. Guessing he's staying in LA though.

Now that he's been in this a while, he probably has a better idea of what he's looking for in the next one. 9,000 sq feet is a lot! I wonder if he likes having that much of a house. Just so 'what's his name' in the WH in DC isn't chasing him out of the country.

Do you think he's already made the move into his new home?

I just bought Adam's house and all the Glamberts are welcome to visit he!he!

@lollymop
The house size is 3,000 square feet, which is quite modest all things considered. The lot (property) size is 9,000 square feet, which is relatively small.

Just wanted to clarify that it is not the house that is 9,000 square feet.

Thanks glitzylady. I didn't pay attention, senior moment.
Your right 3,000sq. feet is modest.

I don't notice much of a yard for a dog. Maybe that's what he wants in his next house. Or, perhaps he wants a condo which he can lock up and leave when he's on tour without worrying about break ins.

LTA - I'm in! And I'll bring the champagne!! Wouldn't that be a hoot?!! Ha!

He's leaving my dream kitchen behind...oh well I always thought the 40ish Art Deco house fit him well...projecting my own likes I think.

I didn't even know he had/was moving .. what about the pool he just had constructed? Maybe it was too wide open for him or on the flip side not big enough!! 3000 sq ft would accommodate me & my entire family ... WOW!! we're Spartans compared to this .. my son, his wife & teen age son just moved in with us in our cozy little bungalow for awhile .. they both lost their jobs .. downsizing ... & had to sell their home .. wish I had more to give ... but we're paupers ... living on a shoestring .. but we're trying to help the best we can!! My whole house would fit in ADAM's ... so much lovely room!! Hope ADAM finds the home he's looking for!! Good Luck ADAM!!

Seems like he's done everything possible to that house. I think Adam is the type that always wants to have a project going on. Time to start on another one. Looking forward to seeing that,

If I could make a million in three years time I might sell it too.

His reasons for moving, just my guesses: better location, bigger yard (Pharaoh), neighbors not so close (he likes to entertain), maximizing his investment at the right time, etc. He did update the house quite a bit. Might have cost him a couple hundred thousand to do it. He'll probably say something about it in an interview, esp. since the news is out. I can't see him moving to New York. He's a West Coast boy at heart.

When someone sells their home or has financial problems or has earned more money and wants something better.Adam thinks he's been making some money lately, and probably now wants a home where he's got even more intimacy and more outdoor space . The current house is very beautiful in the interior, very stylish like Adam, but it has very close neighbors. If I had so much money I would choose something with a bigger garden around and a swimming pool where I can swim not just the decor.

I am amazed by Adam how he can do so many things. Have so many concerts, participate in all sorts of events, work on a new album and to think about buying a new home. I'm just struggling with one problem when I have it on my head

I'm quite surprised...the renovation is not even a year old...My perception (from a distance and with Adam what can one really say lol) was that that was the level of living Adam had always hoped for himself and that he was set (at least for more than three years).....he put so much thought into the decoration, the lighting etc...to me it seems odd and that it may not be a totally "free" decision...to me Adam just doesn't seem like the person to upgrade as soon as he can afford it. He's too reasonable for that in my book. A nice sized home yes but that still makes sense for him since he's away a lot.

We may or may not find out some time...

Maybe he just had so much fun remodeling and decorating that he wants to move on and do it again! I can relate to that. If I had unlimited funds, I'd probably do that myself. It's fun...and Adam can exercise his artistic side.

However, considering his penchant for entertaining, he understandably would like more privacy and space...a real pool...more yard for Pharoah, etc.....and BTGGER CLOSETS, haha.

It'll be interesting to see what he decides to do.

Oops...mispelled "BIGGER"....

A newer home would have much bigger closets and that is probably what he's looking for

My honest feeling about Adam's reason(s) for selling his gorgeous home (which I would :

The house is literally right on the street, at the intersection of two streets, actually. Very short driveway/parking area. Very little room for other vehicles to park other than on the street, which is residential. And honestly, very little privacy. There are walls around the property, with enhanced security, but still. Houses very close to his. When he has parties, it would be difficult to keep the noise down.

I personally think (as if I know anything really, and it's ridiculous for me to think I have a clue into Adam's reasons for selling, but my guesses here...) that he probably would love a larger property, with more of a buffer around his home, that will afford more privacy. And more outdoor space. And perhaps new decorating opportunities.

Perhaps he's found a new home already, something more suited to his current situation, and celebrity status, a status that perhaps requires more privacy & a higher level of security. Perhaps a lovely view out over the hills to the ocean, perhaps an awesome infinity pool, who knows really. My gut feeling is that he will stay in LA, but eventually have a second (or third) home elsewhere. He's mentioned NYC, perhaps London etc..

Just a personal aside: my present home was purchased 15 years ago. My former home was great but when my husband & I discovered our current home, we fell in love with it and sold our previous one.. It just seemed right. Perhaps this is what happened with Adam. He just found the perfect new home for him and his buddy Pharaoh, one he can enjoy himself and with his many friends & family.

Whatever his reasons, I wish him the best. So excited for him!

Ooops! I left out part of the sentence above: which I would LOVE to have as a home... It's soo beautiful!

I heard the privacy and parking issue other places as well...
...agree Glitzylady! The house is gorgeous...LOVE the kitchen and especially those BIIIIIG windows...so much light!

probably I'm too "German" at this point...My family has been living in the same house for almost 30 years same as our neighbors except for one house that got a new young family (now also residents of 12 years)...

I think he has made a ton of money with Queen and real estate in California is a good investment. It may be that the home he is selling has gone up in value and he wants the profit out of it to put into a nicer home. The house has a lot of windows but it looks like there is no privacy from others being able to look in. i noticed there is no photo of the master bedroom.

I think it is hard to find a home with a lot of ground where he lives because they build into the side of mountains. A lot of homes there are reverse living, with the living room on the top floor and the bedrooms below. The ground drops down from the street so the entrance to the home is on street level. The bedrooms have to go below. They don't build high up because it blocks the view of other homes if they do. If you look across the valleys to the next mountain, you see some homes built on stilts that come down from the lowest level of the home down two, three or four stories of height down the mountain. the stilts hold up the back side of the house from falling.

I live on the east coast. The first time I drove up the hills in "Beverly Hills," my first thought was "how do they drive up these hills in the snow?"

I never figured him for orange as a color he would like to live with.
