Fan Art/Chibi From Creative Sharka: Adam Lambert & Javi Costa Polo PLUS Adam's Original Instagram Photo "Brunch At Alice Eatery"

@creativesharka: "It's been a while... soo new chibi @adamlambert with @javicostapolo #adamlambert #fanart #digital #chibi #cute #cutenessoverload #cartoon"

@adamlambert: "Brunch at @aliceeatery w @markusmolinari @javicostapolo @carlcunard surprise photo bomb @millajovovich !"

Note: Adam posted this photo on Instagram on 4-27-19. We included it for two reasons: #1 We hadn't posted it here previously (yikes!) and #2 It gives context to Creative Sharka's latest fan art.

Enjoy!

OT, for those who are still interested since Queen week on Idol, the favorite, Jeremiah, was cut this Sunday. Wound up in sixth place. The country guy was also cut, but the judges saved him. I didn't watch, but I heard about it.

@Dee R Gee

I actually have watched a couple of the Idol episodes this season because I was curious to know more about the contestants. I watched the non-performance episode a couple of weeks ago and learned a lot about the remaining contestants, their back stories, and saw various performances of them throughout the competition, as it was a review type episode. I'm glad I watched it..

Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon was a favorite of mine just from hearing about his story AND his singing abilities are good too. I was really rooting for him. The judges finally used their "judges save" as I believe this was the last week they could do so. The contestant they saved was actually a girl, Laci Kaye Booth, who I liked as well.. I didn't personally dislike any of them for various reasons. The week before had some unexpected eliminations too. I personally don't like the way they are doing the voting now on the show. People can vote even before they see all of the performances and the eliminations are announced at the end of that show. But it is what it is.

We as Adam Lambert fans are used to Idol voters not all getting it right.. But I do have to say the other remaining contestants aren't terrible. Each talented in their own way.

Lyndsey Parker of Yahoo Music (and a big long time fan of Adam Lambert as we know) wrote her usual review of the episode and was as shocked as some of the other fans of the show.. If you are interested to know what her take was on the whole situation, here's her article:

"Judges struggle to save one of two favorites on shocking ‘American Idol’ night"

Thanks for the correction, glitzy. As I said, I didn't see it, just heard about it. I remember Laci from Queen night. I believe she sang Love of My Life. I though she did a very good job. I was interested in your description above about how the voting is done now. Very different from how it was done back in Adam's era. It's interesting also that the major favorite, Jeremiah, was oddly left on the elimination bubble. Apparently, the other contestants have strong voting bases, too. Jeremiah has a lovely voice, although I would not put him in Adam's league. I hope Jeremiah's fans are loyal to him in his post-Idol days, because that is what it really takes.

Voting is easy. Supporting someone for the long haul is a whole different ball game entirely. We Adam fans all know this!

And one more thing about the current voting system on Idol: unless you vote at the time of the Eastern US time zone, your vote will not count. I hadn't realized that Idol is actually televised twice in my own time zone, which is on the West Coast US. It's on at 5 PM and then again at it's usual time at 8 PM. if people are not aware of the earlier time at 5, which is the LIVE show, by the time you watch at 8 PM, the decisions have already been made on the eliminations and the results have already been announced. No voting allowed. I only found out about the earlier live showing on my TV by accidentally checking the viewer channel guide and seeing the 5 PM show. And i went "Aha!!".. People in the know can also watch the stream via the ABC app or online ABC live viewing on their livestream etc.. So there are options but unless you know them, it's pretty much not an option to vote.. Also of course via the American Idol app, which I have used in the past.. But my point is this: it seems unfair to a significant number of viewers to not have access to voting. And it favors the east coast and the south as far as voting as well. It also only allows literally a few minutes between the last contestant's performance and close of voting. Which would seem to favor (and disfavor) certain demographics and contestants too. Anyway, I know that it is not a popular way of voting this year. I've seen some previous years' contestants express their dismay about how this is being done as well. They feel it is unfair, as do I. We'll see if they continue it into the next season (assuming there is one...)..

Wow! Very confusing and unfair to both the voters and the contestants. I wonder why the process is so convoluted and uneven? Doesn't seem right to me.
