Adam Lambert performed a wonderful mini-concert on GOOD MORNING AMERICA's (ABC) Summer Concert Series on Friday, June 28, 2019.  Here are GMA's YouTube videos of each of the five songs performed, and below each video is a link to that video as originally posted directly on GMA's website.  The Adam interview video has not been posted on GMA's YouTube account, so the one below is fan-created ("anto nina"), but the link is to GMA's website, same as the other links.

Nice bonus with IWTBF! Everything about this performance was wonderful!

Adam is sly and sexy. Delicious and decadent. Luscious and lovely.
His eyes are beyond belief. Ditto for the hair.

Bottom line, though, the songs were performed perfectly. As I said earlier, it was great to actually hear the lyrics to CIH clearly. Sooooo sexy.

I sure hope that first-time listeners to NE and CIH will give them a listen on YouTube or stream them on Spotify or watch the videos. Adam is like a luscious cake topped with heavenly icing.

OMG he's looking Hot Hot Hot!!! Love the hair and suit.

The songs are fabulous. I forgot to tune in,( go ahead shoot me,) so I'm listening to these links. All are done magnificently.
It's Adam's fault "I Want To Break Free" has the edge. The new nuances he did were exciting and delicious.

There was exactly one word in the song, weed, that in some minds is not okay. I personally felt it was ridiculous to censor that one word. He's not singing about hard drugs. Weed is legal in many states. People under the age of 21 can't legally use it. Same with wine i.e. alcohol. He wasn't singing about the joys of cocaine or opioids etc.. which are a different story. They might as well have bleeped "wine" out too, because, hey, we don't want to encourage underage drinking (I'm being facetious here, clearly, but my point is clear.).. And it seemed that much more than that was bleeped out.. To me it sounded like there were either sound problems during the song OR the person bleeping things was way over the top, which seemed more likely, but I'd be interested to see if any official explanation is given . If I was Adam and his management and his PR person, I'd be upset with the way that was handled. It very sadly ruined the flow of the song and was unnecessary. If one word is questionable, bleep that one word, not entire sections of the song, including instrumental sections, and parts that there were no lyrics being sung at all. Oh and OMG! the word "high" is in there too. "Bleep".. Good grief.

Here are the lyrics to the song:

"Comin In Hot" by Adam Lambert

Read my mind, open up
Faded I fall into you
Get me high on your touch
Tracing the outline of you
Don't let go now, no slowin' down
I'm fire and I'm burnin'

Comin' in hot, comin' in hot
No chill for me
Comin' in hot, comin' in hot
Red wine and weed
I want your touch, come put your hands on me
I want my love to feed your vanity
Comin' in hot
Comin' in (hot)

Novocaine in my mouth
Tying my tongue like you do
Say my name, say it loud
Tell me what you wanna do

Don't let go now, no slowin' down
I'm fire and I'm burnin'

Comin' in hot, comin' in hot
No chill for me
Comin' in hot, comin' in hot
Red wine and weed
I want your touch, come put your hands on me
I want my love to feed your vanity
Comin' in hot
Comin' in (hot)
Comin' in hot
Comin' in

Feel the fire - let it go
Take it higher - lose control, oh
Feel the fire (feel the fire) - let it go (let it go)
Take it higher (take it higher) - lose control, oh

Comin' in

When I heard the blips in the audio, I never even thought it was for censorship. I thought it was a technical problem on my TV. CIH is sexy all right. But there are plenty of songs out there that include some references that are far more questionable than the word "weed." It's ridiculous IMO. Pure overkill.

Adam did a stellar job.

By the way, the Official Video from Good Morning America that is linked in this thread topic is the uncensored (uninterrupted) version that we did not see on TV. It's the performance with zero audio interruptions (or censoring if that was what was happening), and Adam clearly changed the lyric "red wine & weed" to "red wine and me".. He had already censored himself ahead of his live performance and removed the "wine" reference.. So still not sure if the audio feed was defective or they preemptively censored the song totally unnecessarily.. I'm still hoping we'll hear some explanation of what happened and why. My comments above still apply..

Unfortunately the You Tube clip they have on their official You Tube page is a little over a minute of the song, with the bleeps intact. Just shaking my head here....

All in all a WONDERFUL performance by Adam!!!

Patria said...

I love when Adam has all girl bands. Don't know why, but I do.

Sue Smith said...

It was beyond ridiculous.he was sexy and love the song and they did mess the flow up. He did a little dance that was 0 nothing but few dance moves they mess that up. ANOTHER one Bites The Dust he danced more in and it was amaizing both were just dance moves. They didn't have a problem with that. They were just dance moves nothing zero anything bad. Wow those lyrics are nothing compared to alot of lyrics out there. It was an overall amazing performance. But he was so good. just enough sexy they interfered for no
Darn reason.
It was still Adam great but it would have been more amaizing without that stupid mess up.
On Twitter GMA said how great Adam was would have been even better of whoever did that knew what they were doing. It should not have been done at all.
I said there were lots of young ones
there and men ect there, there were all ages. Miss annemarie jumped on me with the same type of speech here.
I dont understand following this great man and performer If all you want to do is find fault with everything. This is only one in many things of many if not this ot would be something else. Unfortunately she is not the only one there are 2 more that just come here to be negative.

glitzylady said...

A suggestion: Lets not start jumping on each other here. It's one thing to state an opinion, a perspective another to get personal. Please don't let this thread degenerate to bickering. I'll take my own advice on that too :))))

Patria said...

I don't understand following a celebrity and all you want to do is find fault either. I don't want to bicker either.

I have to ask a stupid question ... I sat in front of my TV from 7:30AM ET till 8:30-ish AM ET ... during that time all I got were commercials up the wazoo & local weather 4X + other news!! ADAM didn't start singing on MY TV until after 8:30!! Here's my question ... where were WWFM & IWTBF????? All I saw was NEW EYES .. the edited version of COMIN IN HOT & AOBTD & a lot of talk about #PRIDE so ...... WERE the other songs also televised & WTH didn't I see them if they were??? Daggone local station gives me a huge pain .. TYSM for posting all the songs here!! If I'd have known that .. I would have skipped the show & just waited for the videos on Ytube ... they're better anyway with no freakin' commercials!! LOVED that Purple Suit (my favorite color) & ADAM looked luscious & lovely in it!!

tess4ADAM(LAMBERT Outlaw)

Dee R Gee said...

On TV I saw him sing NE, CIH and ABTD. I saw the untelevised WWFM and IWTBF on fan sites only. GMA didn't televise those songs.

Dee R Gee said...

TBH, I didn't even notice his change from "weed" to "me." I was busy taking in the whole thing and it slipped by me.

annemarie said...

When Adam is on this show, he sings the agreed on songs, which are televised, and then he will sing a few more songs for the audience who came to see him. Very nice that he does that. I loved the songs and also loved his purple suit, am so glad he is always dressed and not come out half naked, like some others.

Nanbert said...

FYI...I revisited the GMA site, and at a certain moment (probably where censored)they have shown an early photo of Adam looking "steamed", and directed us to go to the "full video" below there....that one was NOT censored or altered in any way. Rather amusing way to correct it.

Well at least they did something. Because I have a feeling there twitter feed blew up. There were lovely tweets this morning about Adam. But you know there is nothing like a Glambert scorned.but that was funny.
Even funnier if I wasn't still angry about it. They may just have heard from Adam's manager I dont know that at all. Doubt Adam would say a thing about it. He knows he does not have to he has Glambetts to get his back.

broddybounce said...

Guys -- a minor detail, but letting y'all know I just changed the order of songs in the list on this post as I just realized that WWFM was the last song he performed, not the 3rd one as I had it listed originally. No one has yet to post on YouTube a compilation of all five songs into one video, but that's ok, it doesn't appear anyone has any complaints watching them individually via the GMA website, which gives us great quality video.

And, yes, those last two songs were bonus performances for the live crowd -- gotta give them something extra special for waiting around all that time, right? Actually, if I'm not mistaken, the two(?) other times Adam did GMA's Summer Concert Series (first with Kris right after Idol in 2009, then solo promoting TOH in 2015 -- don't remember him for being on for Trespassing, or was he?) there was always at least one bonus song for the live audience afterwards.

Also, thank you, glitzylady, for clarifying what was shown on TV vs. what's on these "web only" vids. Glad these ones were 'uncensored'...!

Two major "chill-up-the-spine" moments in this set were both on the two extra tracks: the last 30 seconds of IWTBF and the final notes of WWFM. Just glorious!

But hearing him do the two full Queen tracks today put me even more in "I can't wait!" mode for the tour! I am attending opening night in Vancouver -- my first time in that city, so I'm doubly excited! -- and then again a few days later here in the Bay Area, in San Jose. I'm taking my 'non-believer' brother who LOVES Queen but never had an interest in Adam (wha..?!?) and so has never wanted to go with me to see Q+AL the two times they were here previously. This time I told him I'd buy him his ticket for his birthday -- and he agreed. I know he's going to very much enjoy Brian's solo and Roger's solo -- but I think he is going to be mightily surprised by what he sees and hears from Adam! I'll have to report back on that.

Nanbert said...

broddybounce....I can't wait to hear what your brother has to say about Adam after seeing the QAL concert with you! Don't forget to report in. LOL

Can't wait to hear what your brother's reaction is, broddybounce. I'm betting on him liking the entire concert, of course he will have a few favorites. Does anyone not like Who Wants to Live Forever? Let us know.

I was expressing my own confusion as to why they might have bleeped him too. I thought it was ridiculous to bleep the word "weed" and when I listened to the un-bleeped performance it was even more obvious that nothing offensive to anyone was sung by him as he himself censored himself, changed the word preemptively to "me", leaving out the word "weed" entirely. It's a very sexy song, yes, but no words could be considered offensive to even an audience with children in it.

You did however express this in a comment above, the one I was responding to. (The majority of my comment was directed at GMA, not you. Sorry if I wasn't clear):

"When is Adam going to learn to write songs that will not be censored? He just always says to hell with the system, and plows right ahead. He has been in the business long enough to know what is accepted and what is not. ABC wants songs that are OK for children to hear as well as adults. Any references to drugs etc. will not get him what he wants."

Which to me sounded like you were criticizing Adam and the songs he writes. Here's the thing: It's common (as we well know) to have an "R" version of some songs and a "G" version. Many artists have two different versions of songs & albums, including Adam, who has done so in the past (the albums with R rated lyrics in the US come with a warning of "Explicit lyrics" for those who wish to not hear words that they may find offensive for various reasons).

Adam changed the song to a "G" version for his GMA performance. In the case of "Comin In Hot" the song was already a PG version in my opinion with the word "weed" included.

Hope this helps. Peace

Dee R Gee said...

Yes, broddy! Be sure to let us know what your brother thinks of the concert. He just enjoy it in spite of himself! LOL Sometimes pre-conceived feelings can really keep us from opening up to new things. I know I've been guilty of that myself.

AND PLEASE, EVERYONE! Don't forget to STREAM, view and download CIH! If we don't do that, it's like the song is just being played at our own private fan party. We have to support it publicly using all of the song-spreading tools we can. And do the same for NE. I think CIH is lagging behind NE in its initial streaming, so please do it. It's the best way to help Adam. We do want a solo tour! These songs must do well!

Sunflower said...

Hmmm, was my comment cut out? Just wrote a long comment and for nothing. I agree with everyone here about Adam being censored.

Sunflower said...

Well there's nothing much I can say, everyone had expressed the same sentiments I have. I too was angered and frustrated for those annoying interruptions to which I thought it was some Construction company working close to my home but NO it was the ABC station! I think it was ok when he sang New Eyes but it was really bad when Adam sang Comin in Hot! I was yelling at my television "What the Hell is going on"? I think they literally censored the whole song! Adam has done absolutely nothing wrong! It was a perfect performance even in the hot tempertures! RAP music in my opinion should Be BANNED, the younger generation likes that garbage, but to censor Adam? Seriously? Idiotic!

Sue Smith said...

Yes it was a great performance very sexy but nothing bad in it at all. The flow of the song and the performance would have been stunning on TV if not for that nonsense. Yes they finally did something about it. But not on TV. Hopefully alot will go see what on there now. It should be corrected on there YT station as well. Its not going be up forever on the official site.
It would positively been downloaded streamed more if not for that.
I'm really sick but going to stream it now some. If I'm not dead tomorrow the way I feel I'll do more and keep it up.
Just remember when you want to say something mean about Adam before you really know what actually happened in the situation just wait a while and find out what's going on. You can release a comment but when most all have seen it, it's really hard to erase the hurt it causes them. It not only hurtful to his career and to him It is to people who have cared about him and followed him for years. He deserves better he did one crazy performance
About ten years ago he was young. He never done anything like it again so people and or channels need to get over it for goodness sakes. When they let other artist get away with all kinds of nonsense. Ok I'm gonna stream some and then go collapse.

glitzylady said...

Re why Good Morning America censored “Comin In Hot” on the broadcast version:

Adam was asked by a fan on Instagram why parts of the song were bleeped out. He replied:

“Don’t know. I even changed some lyrics per their request”.

So sounds like the sound crew messed up and bleeped parts anyway 😠

Truly a shame..

Dee R Gee said...

Well, that's too bad. He did the right thing and still got bleeped. The result is that it makes some people jump to all kinds of conclusions. It was such a great performance.

Angeladam said...

Thought it was a great performance, from Adam, but those 'undesirable words' in his song are going to get 'bleeped' tbh if there is a mixed age audience, he should have learned his lesson after his first performance in the AMA awards way back, Anne Marie, totally agree with you, even though as usual a few on here as soon as you, me or another couple dare to say anything less than total admiration, then we're called out by the self confessed few ( you know who you are !!) who think they are for some reason, 'higher level fans'( don't mean you Glitzy btw) here on this blogspot and everyone should conform to their way of thinking LOL !, I honestly said Adam's songs wouldn't get much airplay on radio over here in the UK, because of the inclusion of drugs, and drink, and also because the latest video was a bit sleazy, to which I was called being snarky, when in fact it is the truth, I could actually say what some of the sites are saying, but I won't ! but whatever, I SO hope his next single will be the absolute belting anthem, which is what he promised, and although he's been very sweet about why he changed his first single because he's in love etc, that really won't 'cut it'for fans who just want his music and not what's going on in his personal life !!

annemarie said...

Since Adam agreed to change some of the lyrics, he knew they would not be acceptable.
Thank you Angeladam for agreeing with me. I wasn't being snarky, I actually could see the problem coming when he sang on GMA. I would have been very surprised if he had not been bleeped. Adams life style is not accepted by all people, and he tends to put it to music. The videos made the song more explicit, I think that is what hurt him the most. Without the videos people might not have totally understood what he was singing about. He skimmed over the point of the songs when interviewed, and said they were songs about love, and new loves. Not exactly the whole truth. I actually like the new style of his singing, it is new and fresh. Although I think many people miss his slow starting of a song and it builds up to an unbelievable crescendo at the end. My favorite too.

glitzylady said...

@Angeladam
A few more thoughts from me. Haha! Anyway...

Your comment that "should have learned his lesson after his first performance in the AMA awards way back": He's almost 10 years beyond that performance and yes, he's well aware of the possibility that words might be censored. Did you see my comment regarding Adam's awareness of the situation that occurred during his performance of "Comin In Hot", that he had already changed some words to the song and was fully compliant with GMA's request to him before the performance to do so. But he is not sure what happened, why it seemed they bleeped him anyway, etc. Or whatever it was that happened, be it intentional or unintentional censorship (perhaps the sound people didn't get the message that Adam had already self censored the lyrics) in spite of his own compliant self-censoring of the words to the song, or if it was audio technical problems with the feed etc.. Either way, it unfortunately ruined the flow of the song as I said before.. Even my husband, also a fan of Adam's who watched the broadcast with me, wondered what the heck they were doing and why. When I told him what that *word* i.e. "weed" was he just shook his head. And I suspect some who listened to the show wondered just what they were bleeping and why..

It's interesting to think that radio would exclude Adam's songs for one word in the entire song referring to weed. With some of the songs we've heard over the years on radio by other artists with more "objectionable" words included, but with a G or PG or PG13 edited version played instead (thinking of Bruno Mars and his "Gorilla" single with several distinctly R rated lyrics changed to more G rated etc..and no one blinking an eye over it, as there were a couple of f-words in the R rated version), anything is possible if need be i.e. changing a word here and there. Radio was more than happy to play the G (or PG or whatever it was) version. I have to admit that I didn't play the R rated version of Gorilla for my young family members. But Adam's song with "weed".. sheesh. For one thing it's legal in my state (Washington) and no one thinks much of it to be honest. We have Marijuana/weed etc. dispensaries with big signs that don't have to be covered to protect the children.. It's only legal for 21 and over, same as alcohol etc.. As for the music video being "sleazy".. Have you watched other music videos from other very popular artists? But it's up to each of us to decide what works and what doesn't, what's sleazy and what's artistic. I do understand your concerns though..

As to the album release in September and the promised "banger" of a new single coming at the same time, which Adam's publicist Shoshanna Stone has talked about, I think (just my thoughts here but makes sense to me..) it was the plan all along to promote that song to radio at that time when Adam is into serious US/Canada promo time efforts. She has said he will hit the big shows here in the US then i.e. in the fall at the time of the VELVET album part 1 release. Because of the upcoming QAL North America Bohemian Rhapsody tour beginning July 10 in Vancouver BC (which I'll be attending with friends-yay!) Adam hasn't had a lot of time to promote other than mostly overseas. When the album drops he'll be in full solo album promo mode, visiting radio stations I assume and really pumping up the promo for the new single. For which I'm VERY excited!!! It's been too long since we've had Adam out there promoting his new music, by that time literally 4 years!!!

Lastly, let's remember that Adam is excited too for his new music and it's what he feels is true to himself and the music he wants to put out.. So I'm hoping he does have some success with the single in Sept..

annemarie said...

Seems like they bleeped out more than the word "weed".

glitzylady said...

@annemarie
Yes, they did.. Large parts of the sound feed. Which is all the more concerning that large parts were bleeped. Adam said he changed "some words".. It's unclear what those other words were as I sure don't see anything objectionable in the lyrics I posted of the song.. I referenced the "weed" word because honestly that is the ONLY thing that seemed they might bleep or ask Adam to change.. But too late now..
The good thing is that for the time being anyway, we can see and listen to the full un-bleeped by going to the official Good Morning America website, the link that @Broddybounce embedded in this thread topic.

And remember, it might have been an audio feed glitch that happened and not censoring on the TV program that went out to those watching on ABC.. but we haven't heard what actually happened, at this time anyway... I'd be interested to know the story...

Kris J said...

Guess What!
Within the last few hours, GMA has reposted all of Adam's songs from yesterday. They are
full performance versions--with NO censorship. CIH is the way Adam originally performed it,
with the word "me" substituted for the word "weed". It would have been nice if there had been
better communication from GMA staff to Adam. You can see all the videos on Adam's YouTube
page.

Dee R Gee said...

I think an auto feed glitch makes sense. There were lots of blips. Couldn't have been just for censoring a couple of words. There was a lot of interruption.

Kris, thanks for your comment but, forgive me, the full versions were already there when I created this post yesterday. See glitzylady's comment above from yesterday at 2:08pm. :)

I totally agree with you GL. I heard in that YouTube interview Adam said there is some really cool music out there that does not necessarily get on the radio. I believe right now he just wanted to get out music that he loves and may reflect some of his life. But however was not just written for that.
Then in September the more commercial one will come out. That by all things he said appears to be what he doing. Also by what GL said. He worked hard on this album and it would be nice if a few and you know who you are would be more respectful of him and his music.
I'm not bigering nor am I starting anything or arguing however Angelaadam accusations. I have a right to do that just like she does to answer that
Your being some respectful because gl on was here but you have come on and off of here saying awful things about Adam and Javi non stop there. You left you come back have a big rant about the gloom and doom of Adam's career and how awful his bf was time and time again the past couple months and most of the time you been on here. No annemarie not as bad as you but has also been disrespectful and jump to things before knowing what really happen. Yes both have been snarky but Angelaadam you been much much worse than either Elevans or annemarie. Gathering up all the garbage on the internet as a person on here said and then coming on here and dropping that mess then leaving.
You finally started to come back and act some nicer but back to your old way very quickly.
Why do we who respect Adam is a human being and not anyway perfect have to take that why? Its hurtful unkind and disrespectful on this site. I'm frankly damn tired of it. But I will let GL handle it from now on if I possibly can. I've pretty well had it with this
I have more problems than this.
If you dont care about Adam's life and that all 3 that have mentioned.stop the attacks on the BF please. Because he is a big part of Adams life now. Doubt that changing any time soon at all.
Respect is the word here and it has not been in here by these 3 people.
I'm not going to continue on with this abuse of Adam's, life, career are who he cares about anymore. This site is informative and great about Adam's interviews ect. And there are people on here I really like and respect but with all in my life right now not worth it to me. I will say one more time this whole nonsense of that song is ridiculous the song is not bad at all. It very easy to change a couple of words when needed. He did that and none of that bleep nonsense should have occurred. Adam Lambert is not even the same person he was 10 years ago. He's an even greater singer and talent. There are as GL said much worse songs and music videos much, much worse none has a problem with.
There is ways to say and do things that will not upset others on here.

Kris J said...

P.S.
Perhaps it was Adam who reposted the better versions (and no censorship) on YouTube this
morning, because up until a few hours ago, the only GMA concert videos on Adam's YouTube
were the original GMA ones that you had to click on a link to see the last part of each
video and CIH also had censorship. Anyway, it's nice to have them all together on Adam's
YouTube because that's where I go to watch all his videos.

Sue Smith said...

Thank you So much Kris for all the info. I did finally get on one video that was not messed up for CIH on GMA. But the one right up front there when you get on the site is still messed up.

broddybounce said...

Guys, I just watched the CIH vid on the GMA site using the link I provided above and it is the same uncensored version I saw when I first posted it yesterday morning, and when I watched it again last night. I'm not sure why you guys would be seeing a censored version. Did you click directly from my link or did you get to it by some other means? This is like some murder mystery! 🧐

Sue Smith said...

I did get to the uncensored one using yourlink last night. If you just go on there it still the censored version.
But even of you just go on there you can fool around and get it. I'm not as savvy at getting these things as many of you are. But this was last night or early this morning haven't look since then. Thanks for all info you put on here especially for the less technically savvy people on here. That may just be me. Thanks broddybounce.

broddybounce said...

Oh! Ok, I see what you mean now -- using my links above vs. navigating directly on the GMA site. How odd! If I had known I woulda added a note to make sure peeps solely use my links for each video and not navigate within the site. But thanks for clarifying, Sue. And...you're welcome! :)

Thanks for that, however, the You Tube Videos that are posted here on the thread (posted by @broddybounce, first as links to the GMA website to view the full length uncensored ones, and then embedded them each individually today, now that GMA finally replaced the abbreviated & censored snippets that were originally posted on their You Tube channel) are the official GMA HD videos, full length and uncensored, and it would be great if everyone would view those if at all possible. That way they know that we fans are interested in the performances.. It's good to know those others are available too in case the Official ones are taken down from the GMA You Tube at some point.
