I could listen to a hundred of these little interviews with Adam. He makes the simplest questions fun. Always gives them a bit of a twist and a bit of attitude. Love him.

Cute interview. But I still trying to adjust to the idea of pineapple on pizza, even though I love pineapple. It seems almost sacriligious to STILL call it "pizza". Next people will be putting pineapple in spaghetti, ravioli, lasagne, etc.... or maybe they do already! haha

I really like this format also. Questions are clear, answers concise.

Never thought of it, but pineapple would have to be my favorite pizza topping too. I like lots of different topping as long as pineapple is one of them.

Pineapple is a must in these Mongolian grill restaurants like Hu Hot. That would qualify as pasta and pineapple. Go for it Nanbert, I dare you.

Patria...actually, I've tried it, since one of my grandson's an aficiando....there's nothing to dislike about it, but it doesn't taste like I want PIZZA to taste.... w/double cheese, sausage, mushrooms, green pepper, onions, bacon, tomato sauce...yum! Adding pineapple is too distracting from what is already perfect...to me.

Actually, many years ago, when I visited Italy, I ate pizza often, and was surprised to find it was much simpler fare than we are used to here...not as many "additives" as we are accustomed to using in the U.S.

I'm sure that has changed over the years....but I wonder what the Italians would think of adding pineapple?! Probably say..."Crazy Americans! It's delicious!" hahaha

I order Canadian bacon with onions and pineapple all the time. Oh so good.

I do understand the concept of don't try to fix what isn't broken. I can't eat steak with anything but salt. No sauces on any meats.

Wait, what? Am I reading bacon on pizza? no no

Hurrah for choices.

@creamtangerine You and I can share a giant pizza anytime. YUM!

I don't do fruit on pizza. I like all kinds of fruit, just not on pizza. I'm kind of Chicago purist when it comes to pizza. Thick or think crust is fine, but I love my sausage, green peppers, mushrooms, black olives, pepperoni, etc. I once ate a pizza in a Portland, Oregon, restaurant. It was served hot, with sausage, etc. but over the top of the whole thing was a layer of thick-sliced cold tomatoes. COLD. Whuuuh?

Adam is definitely a California boy when it comes to pizza. And he doesn't seem to eat meat, period. Much healthier!

It's Canadian bacon, not bacon that you pan fry in strips. It is round slice form.
Sure I will share a giant pizza anytime with you Patria and we could talk about Adam.

People have lefsa sent to them from Freddie's Lefsa in West Fargo No. Dak. to Arizona and other states all the time. Pizza, I have never heard any one order and sent to another state. But I am sure it happens. Only the rich and famous do that I would think. By air express.

Nanbert said...

But I don't like pepperoni! And the sausage must be sweet, mild Italian...not hot! And yes, Dee R Gee, black olives are very good on there, too.

Creamtangerine....what's "lefsa"? It must be yummy to be delivered to different states.

That reminds me of a story. When we were living in Brussels, Belgium... one day we got to reminiscing about Nathan's Hotdogs in Coney Island. Always, whenever we arrived back in the States in New York on vacation, we would grab a cab from the airport to Nathan's on Coney Island and stuff our faces (along with our cab driver) with as many hot dogs as we could eat! Then we'd continue on to our final destination in the U.S.

I remembered that Nathan's sent orders all over the States, and decided to write and ask if they would send us an order in Belgium, because we were really hungry for some. I told them about our regular visits each time we returned to the States.

Note: this was when people really wrote letters! BI...Before internet!

Well, a couple of weeks later we received a big package from Nathan's in Coney Island....carefully wrapped... with dry ice...containing a dozen Nathan's hotdogs and buns... plus assorted packets of Nathan's mustard, ketchup and relish.....and including a letter telling us that they didn't deliver overseas, but sympathized with our plight and would make this one exception in our case.....NO CHARGE! WOW!

Nanbert lefse is a tradition soft Norwegian flatbread. It is made with potatoes, flour, butter, and milk or cream. It is cooked on a large, flat griddle. Special tools are used. Like a large thin stick to turn it. People like to eat it with butter and brown sugar sprinkled all over it. It is funny when you have a special craving for something, what a person will do out of there norm to eat it again.

creamtangerine.....Thanks for the info.....Lefse sounds delicious!

I was about to write a comment about lutefisk and lefse but decided to do a few views on CIH
first because the view counts have been really low recently (and yes I do (somewhat obsessive-
ly) record view counts on Adam's videos). This comment is probably a mess, because I just discovered the views for CIH have gone up over 125K since noon today---probably more than
that now, because I'm a slow typist. Everyone should go and do a few extra views so we can
try to keep the trend going! I'm so excited, I haven't checked the counts for NE etc. yet!
I' a HAPPY GLAMBERT!! LOL

Nanbert said...

Kris J...Great news! I'm going right now to do a few extra views of both songs.

Nanbert said...

Kris J....I'm back, and reporting in after a few views of NE and CIH myself. I was amazed to see that within 25 minutes, "Coming In Hot" went from 613,982 to 667,168 views!

Just out of curiousity, I did the math....and it comes out to 2127.44 views per minute! That's pretty impressive. IMO

"New Eyes" had reached 3,254,527 about 1/2 hour ago.

I have both songs on separate tabs on my computer on a "loop" so they are both playing 24/7 without my having to sit & view them all the time!! I go back three four times a day & refresh so they will count .. hope that is helping!!

Now ... as for the pizza ... my mom & my grandma used to make their own pizza ... not from a pizzeria ... neither of them put pepperoni or mozzarella or any of the toppings that are used today!! Oh no ... that was American pizza that was developed by the working mothers who didn't have time to cook dinners so they just put everything on the pizza & made a meal of it for their families .. that's why there are so many different kinds!! Then after the pizzerias became so popular the pineapple & different crusts came along!! Thus .. the original Italian pizza took a back seat to the multiple varieties of pizza we now have!! Every now & then I make the old fashioned pizza for hubby ... he likes it better than the modern version but the pizza of old is a "dying breed"!! Too bad .. it's simple but just as good!!

Pineapple on a pizza? NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By the way, the pineapple and ham concoction was invented on to what some people call pizzas, in Canada in the 1960s, definitely NOT in Italy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Angeladam said...

Rosemary White, I actually love tuna, and banana on pizza !

Rosemary White said...

Angeladam, tuna and banana on pizza. That's not a pizza. I feel sick thinking about it.

Adam also likes cheese that has fruit in it. O^O
