VIDEO: Queen + Adam Lambert, "I Was Born To Love You," Osaka, January 28, 2020

Queen + Adam Lambert brought back the classic and soaring "I Was Born To Love You" — previously performed on the 2014 & 2016 Asia tours — for the 2020 Asia tour, this one from Osaka, Japan on January 28th.  For some reason, this tune is never included in the US tours although, in our humble opinion, would likely be majorly well received if it were (hint, hint, for next US tour, boys!).

But we feel this particular performance of the song — and especially the fabulous glory note at the end — can definitely be considered as Adam's birthday gift to us!

I love this song so much, wonder if they'll continue to sing it! Adam looks amazing in this pic!

Sunflower, I doubt it. This song is "special" for Japan, only. In the 2014 tour, they did perform it in Korea, too.... but not this time around. Adam sings it so brilliantly, doesn't he?

Oh, yes, simply stunning! Another incredible song they don't do in US, but do in Europe: "Save Me." Adam's vocal SO poignant, SO breathtaking! So what that these songs weren't hits in the US? I really wish they'd let us hear 'em live here!! 😭

Happy the fans sang Happy Birthday to Adam but he was off the stage, I heard the plan was to sing to him before "Doing Alright" but guess "not everyone" knew the plan. Haha It was nice though!

Sunflower, I think everyone expected Brian to announce that it was Adam's birthday when he introduced him, after "Doing Alright".

Broddybounce, (my N. CA neighbor), I too wish they would sing it in the States or at least other places. I really love that song!

Late reply to my "neighbor," daydreamin: thank you — yes, indeed! A medley of that and "Save Me" would give us a "glory note feast!" :)

I'm another one who loves "Save Me"... which was always sung before "Who Wants To Live Forever" (at least in the videos I saw).....both chuck full of Adam's "glory notes". Remember Adam thrillingly beginning the song acapella, while standing at the top of one of the sets of stairs that winged out on each side of the stage....simply glorious! His voice just soared out over the silenced rapt audience. A very special experience!

Yes, yes, Nanbert — exactly! I loved the set design for that tour where Adam could get closer to the audience on the sides of the arena, which is rare for an artist to do in arenas. Having him up there to start it and a capella ... yes, absolutely, so dramatic! And it was so poignant the way it was arranged for Adam, and how he ends up singing it. I think it would blow everyone's minds away on this side of the Atlantic!
