Adam Lambert appeared on Access Hollywood on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, interviewed by Sibley Scoles for a lovely 16+ minutes.
AND:
(UPDATED:) During the interview, Adam hinted that Queen + Adam Lambert will be releasing something new involving their recent "You Are The Champions" video. It turns out that it's the same 2+ minute video we saw last week; however, the sound has been newly mixed & mastered and it has been set to images of first responders and front line workers around the world. You will find it two posts above this one.
Here is Access Hollywood's description of the interview on their YouTube page:
Video was removed from YouTube a short time ago; it can still be found on Yahoo! (at the moment), however embedding is not allowed, so here is link to site:

Adam Lambert is happy to see "American Idol" adjust to challenging circumstances. The "Idol" alum tells Access Hollywood's Sibley Scoles via Zoom why he finds the singing competition's new at-home format amid the coronavirus pandemic "fascinating" and a potential way to discover a new kind of performer. Adam also details rerecording Queen's classic "We Are The Champions" as "You Are The Champions," and dedicating the new version to frontline workers. In addition, the singer discusses auctioning his most iconic stage wear for bidding on eBay through May 6, all proceeds of which will go to GLAAD, and the heartwarming feedback he's gotten from Queen bandmates on how they believe he and the late Freddie Mercury would have gotten along. And, Adam jokes he may join Tinder when quarantine is over!

Isn't this fantastic news..?!? Actually, it almost seems as if Adam let this slip out by mistake, didn't it? Well, I'm glad he did. And maybe, since they are not resuming their tour for another year, just maybe, this is the spark that will set Q+AL to record a new CD! I am only presuming here, wishful thinking, but who knows? IF they did do that, the only question would be is, if they do new material would they still be Q+AL?
The pandemic has been awful and tragic and sad and so many other things. But, there have been a few silver linings: people coming together, people showing what courage means and what it means to selflessly help other people; the environment improving (if for a moment in time); and, of course, selfishly, fun things like this, albeit still for the cause at hand. We are lucky to be loving someone as wonderful and giving as our Adam.
This is an exciting project that QAL is undertaking! I'm sure it will work well because the QAL band, all of them, are consummate pros and will not release anything that is less than stellar. It will be a lot of work, but I know they will pull it off.
Nice that Adam has expressed support for the Idol contestants who have to deal with very tough obstacles this season. He is always so gracious.
Gonna watch The Talk today!
NBC just took down the video from YouTube and their website. Yahoo! still has it ... for now ... but embed is not allowed, so I've replaced with a link. Fingers crossed they'll let that stay.
Broddybounce, the video isn't available now. :-((
Hi Rosemary. I just checked and it's still there. You may need to refresh your browser. Although I'm not able to do an embedded video, there is link to Yahoo! that still definitely has the video!
Also, while I'm leaving a comment — I just put up two new posts, including the new "You Are The Champions" video!
