Adam Lambert is featured in PEOPLE, Wednesday, October 13, 2021, to promote the premiere of Clash Of The Cover Bands on E! tonight.
As for whether a permanent Vegas residency is on his radar down the line?

"It didn't really cross my mind yet but if it was something that worked out, that would be really cool. It's a great opportunity to perform and be close to home [in L.A.]," he says. "If they came a-calling, I would say, sure!"

Nice article! I'm surprised to read a discussion about a "permanent" residency in Vegas...wonder if there's any "meat" in it. It would certainly be prestigious for Adam, but might cut down on his touring...both with Queen and on his own...and therefore afford him less worldwide exposure. But he sounds interested in the concept... so I hope he gets whatever he wants!

A thought...since the pandemic started, it seems that Adam has expanded his solo career in several new directions (voice over acting, judging, streaming performances, Vegas, Global Citizen, guesting on albums, charitable work, etc.)...while still keeping Frontman for Queen as the jewel in his crown. And, of course, the musical he's writing may also turn up soon. A man of many talents!

But I still hope he'll get in at least one more iconic tour with Queen....the perfect "gig" for him! Fingers crossed for the QAL tour scheduled in 2022! Wish it could be sooner!

I agree with everything you said. If a Vegas residency comes along, I'm all for it. But I'd love to see him tour on his own music with more albums ahead of him first. QAL has been a real coup for him, but it has monopolized a lot of his time. All to the good, of course, but I also want him to be remembered and respect for his own work, too.

Would be nice for Adam to have a permanent residency but like Dee said I’d rather see Adam touring and promoting more of his music. But don’t you think Adam might get bored, staying at one place, instead of visiting all these Countries and Cities? We all know how much Adam loves to travel.

Nanbert and Dee have you both received an email from Looped the streaming site for Adam’s Livestream? I got one yesterday with instructions on how to log in to it. Of course I’m new to this so I had to create an account and I just did. I pray that night of the concert everything will go smooth for me, because at times I have good luck and bad luck with Adam. Hahaha

Sunflower, yes, I received something from Looped, but haven't done anything with it yet. I'm always so spooked by emails from unknown sources...but have since checked it out against my receipt for the purchase, and guess it's legit. Like you, I'm new to this stuff, too!

But certainly looking forward to Adam's Vegas livestream! What a great idea! Also, good business, I bet!

Regarding a permanent residency for Adam in Las Vegas: It wouldn't preclude him from doing other things ie touring with Queen, doing his own national/international tour, etc.. etc.. when those activities come up. Permanent only means as long as it needs to be for him. But since it hasn't happened yet, now or in the future, not something we need to be concerned about.

Whew! Nice to know that a permanent Vegas residency wouldn't cramp Adam's style! Thanks, glitzylady.

Thanks for the explanation, glitzy. Of course, you are right. Artists-in-residence also do other performances. Maybe a residency is in Adam's future. In the meantime, I hope we get more new music from him from time to time. I know he's been working on that musical, and that music will be his next solo album. All good!

Just watched Clash! Really enjoyed it. Adam did a great job offering advice and comments. But I think I'll watch the rest of them on my DVR afterwards. There are so many commercials, it drives me nuts!

Thought both band were very good. Agreed with the judges' decision.

Oh my!...missed the first show of Clash! Had to attend an evening funeral visitation for a family friend.
Hope I'll be able to see the entire first Clash program somewhere... but where?

It has replayed on E 5 times already. Think it has 4 more times until next show. There is another one friday. Check the guide on your tv. The showings farther apart now for E entertainment.

Next week, Tina Turner and Cher. Should be interesting!

Thanks Patria....I saw it...I liked it. I won't miss any other episodes...hopefully.

BTW, has it ever occurred to anyone whether there might be cover bands of Queen? All that comes to mind is MM and his band! I sincerely hope not, that would be awkward!

Also, I noticed that the background music for the show at the beginning was the Queen song "Having a Good Time"...and I couldn't hear it clearly, but it sounded like a recording of the song with Freddie's voice...not Adam's! Surely, that couldn't be true!!!! That would really be tacky, since Adam is a star on the show.

You're welcome Nanbert.

I could argue it both ways on whether Adam or Freddie should be singing "Having a Good time". But I'm going to go a third way and assume it was planned and thought out to use Freddie.
I also assume there are definitely Queen cover bands and think it would be neat if one was on this show. The front man would be looking like Freddie for sure. (Maybe come out in tidy whites???lol)
As for MM, isn't he an employee of the Queen organization? I wouldn't expect him to come on this show.

Yes, I also noticed that theme song for Clash. Actually, it's Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now" which has the lyric "having a good time." I hadn't thought of Queen cover band being on Clash. I suppose there could be. although I'd just as soon there weren't. I'm SURE that Marc Martel will not be on, though. Next week is Tina and Cher. Should be fun!

My thought is that IF there were to be Queen cover bands on "Clash", Marc Martell's group would be a logical choice. He is no longer affiliated with Queen, but touring on his own as a Freddie impersonator. He sounds a lot like Freddie.

BUT, in case any Glamberts don't know....Marc Martell's fans viciously troll Adam on the QAL videos on Youtube, and often on Adam's solo videos. They are very jealous of Adam and absolutely determined that Marc should be Queen's frontman INSTEAD of Adam. They even trash Brian and Roger for choosing Adam!

Dee R Gee...you're quite right about "Don't Stop Me Now". I guess I was having a senior moment! Hope you're also right about MM not being on the show. It WOULD generate a lot of publicity... but none good!
