Mercedes-AMG Interviews Adam Lambert, April 2022

If we're being honest, we're not quite sure why a car company — much less a subsidiary of that company — would be interviewing a celebrity with absolutely no mention in the piece as to the connection that celebrity would have with that company.  Nevertheless, we love the interview that AMG, the dynamic engine-building subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz, did with Adam for the "WORLD OF AMG: Spirit Of AMG" section of their website!  Their writer/interviewer asked some awesome questions, and their graphic designer did a beautiful job.

So why did they interview Adam?  Does Adam own a Mercedes?  If you know, let us know in comments.  But, no matter — we'll take this terrific interview proudly and gladly!  (And thanks to AL 24/7 reader Mi Re La for the find!)

“It’s thrill seeking,” Adam Lambert says over Zoom, ruminating upon his most cherished aspects of performing live. The Queen frontman is sitting in his living room wearing a pair of tinted, electric yellow glasses that, as he says, are being used to hide the signs of his third day of jet lag — the peak of tiredness, he attests. Within moments of joining the call, it’s clear that Lambert weaves aspects of his performance into his personality, or rather, his personality is what makes his on-stage performances come alive.

Happy Easter to all who celebrate!

Getting so excited about those upcoming shows in Florida and Atlanta!

The latest interviews are so nice. Even if we've heard most of it before, I never get tired of hearing Adam's voice.

I was very surprised to find out in this interview that Adam had Covid last year.Apparently it was a rather serious form of the disease that scared him a little.I hope he was not left with any lung problems that would affect his ability to sing.

Just saw this video on Facebook. It's that Rap Battle Adam did some years back at a radio station. He was VERY good!

Hi Mi Re La!

There actually was another interview that Admin posted (can't remember which) about a week ago where he admitted that he contracted COVID. But, no, absolutely, was a surprise to us all. I guess he felt he didn't want to make a news story out of it and force-elicit sympathy. There's a nobleness to that.

But doesn't appear to have had any long-term consequences or we probably woulda heard about it by now.

Yes, I remember that recent interview, too. He had COVID pretty early even after getting vaxxed and boosted. Sounds like he was pretty darn sick. But he seems ok now.

Thanks broddybounce for the answer. I probably missed that interview. I hope that the fact that Adam did Covid after he was vaccinated still gave him protection in not being left with some consequences after the disease.
I remember Brian May also having Covid immediately after an event in England where he met and hugged Adam.
After the Omicron strain appeared, there was an explosion of cases in England. Adam attended many events during that time.
The fact that Adam has been practicing his voice in some karaoke bars lately shows that he has no problems.
The virus has not disappeared and I know people who after 3 doses of vaccine had severe forms of Covid 2-3 times. I hope Adam will be careful enough in the next tournament.

Yes, there was that big resurgence in the UK. Adam is lucky to have no apparent after-effects. He sounds fine. What a scary thing!

Adam won the Adam/Taylor Hicks Idol poll bracket! It was very close for a while but Glamberts prevailed. That was a close one.

First I heard of it. What was the poll about/for...most popular?...best singer?....or?
