hey this is Sherri wishing you a Happy Hanukkah too, and A Happy Hanukkah to all Adam's fans out there. Best wishes with your new single, you worked very hard on it.

A Happy Hanukkah to you as well Adam. We will be lighting our menorah this week as we sit and admire our Christmas tree! The first year we were married my husband gave me a gift from 4 different countries. Perfume from France, a Russian shawl, a carved giraffe from Africa and a menorah from Israel. So 2 miracles are celebrated, The Nativity and the re-dedication of the temple in Jerusalem. 54 years of celebrating together! Now that's a miracle too!

We have a multi-celebratory household as well. Our menorah is being lit tonight and my Jewish husband is out buying our Christmas tree since I am still recovering from ankle fusion surgery. We have raised our 2 children with love and tolerance throughout all the years and are thankful for the beautiful and loving people they have become. We will celebrate 40 years of marriage this coming year. Happy Hanukkah ,dear Adam and thank you for your beautiful heart and magnificent voice that you are sharing with the world.....

Seeing we are sharing life stories may I join in. I met my husband when we were both 14, we married at 19. Had 2 girls, now have 5 grandsons.
There have been ups and downs over the years joy and sadness. But mostly I consider myself very lucky and happy. We have been married 45years and 6 months.

Awww Adam, you are so thoughtful! Thank you for the Happy Hanukkah wishes! We lit our Menorah tonight and sang Hanukkah songs. Then the children opened their Hanukkah gifts (1 per night for 8 nights)and we ate Latkes. Good times were had by all.

So Happy Holidays to you Adam and to the whole Glamily!

Persians celebrate Winter Solistic tomorrow night. This holiday has been celebrated for over 2500 years by Persians. Happy Shabe Yalda to all Persian Glamberts. I know Adam has a lot of them inside and outside of Iran. Historically this holiday was celebrated by ancient civilizations of East and West and later on because Birth of Christ wasn't known Christians adopted this celebration. Moving the date to 12/25. I didn't know this until I learned about it taking upper division history course in university.

Happy holidays to you and yours, Adam, if by chance you visit here and to all the Glamberts worldwide on this site and others that support Adam and are as besotted with him as I am!I also send good wishes to the moderators on this site that do such a fantastic job keeping us so well informed.I have a Hanukkah bush on my front porch for my Jewish friends as well as a remembrance of my early childhood Jewish mothers treating me like their own children. It has blue and white lights and a star on top. I also have Santa sitting on my front porch holding a baby Rudolph on his lap and lights everywhere. I have the Christmas spirit knowing that Adam's album will only be a few months away and all of the appearances that will follow! 2012 will be a great year for him and to all of you as well. I hope those in poor health will be blessed with recovery and comfort. Happy Holidays! :)

Excellent information however I’d like to let you know that I think there is problem with your RSS feeds as they seem to not be working for me. May be just me but I thought overall I would cite it.

Congrats JAK and to all of you that have celebrated so many happy years with your loved one. I had 30 quality, wonderful years with my 2nd husband until he passed away 5 years ago. He developed a brain tumor and other major infirmities, but even tho'I was his caretaker for the last 14 yrs of his life, it was a priviege to have that time. My first husband made me a stronger person and made me appreciate the 2nd one! Life has been good!Happy Holidays to you, Persian fan! I learn so many good things from all of you making the world a smaller place. Thinking of Fan4fun and so many posters that have been missing.

There are tons of holidays around the globe in this season of light. HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL BEAUTIFUL GLAMBERTS AROUND THE GLOBE! I consider myself lucky to be part of this diverse group of fans.

Peace & Love in this season of giving!

If only all the countries of the world could get along as well as our diversified group! I've learned alot from this Glamily, smidgens of other languages and customs and a whole lot about sexual orientation!

I'm sure many of you are a hodgepodge of religious backgrounds as my husband and I are...Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, Church of England and one 7th Day Adventist!...even a few agnostics. Whatever holiday you may be celebrating I wish you joy and good health for you and your loved ones.

Happy Everything!

Just wondering - Does anyone know what religion Sauli is? I think a large part of Finland is Lutheran, but not sure.

Anonymous said...

Yes, Lutheran is main religion in Finland.

funbunn40 said...

My family was a hodgepodge too. My grandmother was from Bergen,Norway and raised my mother Lutheran, my dad was raised Presbyterian, I was raised in the Congregational church and Methodist and my best childhood friends were Jewish and Catholic. I married a Baptist and now am a free spirit, conglomeration of all of them. I've seen some photos of Sauli wearing a cross and being Lutheran makes sense where that religion may be prevalent. It's nice that Adam will experience Christmas first hand with Sauli's family. They seem so well suited to each other and so happy. The thought of them makes me smile. Glitzylady, hope your arm is healing well and you'll soon be back at work recruiting new Adam fans. Do you have any piped in music? Pandora would be great with all Adam songs to hypnotize and mesmerise!

Is Iraeli Fan out there? We met at the Hard Rock and were interviewed by the Palm Beach Post! Someday I'll learn how to post our picture! If you're there, Happy Hannukah!I feel so connected to so many of you here and always glad to see new ones joining us. The Finnish fans also give us Sauli info too, which I enjoy!Happy Holidays to everyone!

@ lorraine.....

OT..unless you've had leg or ankle
....surgery!

A Patient's Lament...January 1979

Broken leg and shattered ankle
.....pain and aggravation
.....are beginning to rankle.
Even a spirit as blithe as mine
.....must indulge in a moan
.....or occasional whine.
I've been a good sport
.....but my temper has begun
.....to grow increasingly short.
Physical therapy, a branch of
.....The Inquisition
.....has managed to upset
.....my even disposition.
I am whisked to floors below
.....in a chariot of pain
.....I am greeted with a smile
.....and a rubber tipped cane.
Thereupon with the grace
.....of an elephant with gout
.....I manage to hop
.....and propel myself about.
Please Doctor dear, I'll be good
.....may I go home now
.....like you promised I could?

.....to be continued

I wasn't sure of the reason for your ankle fusion...compound fractures like mine or arthritis...infection, etc. etc. but I thought my hospital scribbling might amuse you. I'm hoping your recovery will be swift, it's definitely no fun.
I will send many good thoughts your way, and I consider 40 years of marriage "a good start"!

lorraine said...

Dearest Jak-you are quite a writer;I really related to your poem-especially the "hopping" part. Following the hospital stay,I was sent to a rehab nursing facility where I was told I wouldn't be discharged until I could do 8 hops with my good leg. Within 2 days I was doing the "impossible" and was out of there! Actually, I tripped on an extension cord in my classroom and came down very hard on my left ankle-in front of my 32 2nd graders!I kept teaching until my ankle totally collapsed and had my surgery 4 years later. Now,as I sit here at my computer tonight, I'm thankful that I have people like you that I feel connected to in a very special way. I hope Adam keeps it together and realizes what a special instrument of love he is and the impact he has on so many of us. His gift reaches even beyond that beautiful voice and smile of his. Loving thoughts to you-and thank you for your wonderful sense of humor-and your kindness.

@ lorraine

Quite a coincidence here! I broke my leg and ankle while supervising my group of kindergarteners! We were having the entire Pre-K and K
class's photos made sitting on a pony!I fell backwards and reached out with left foot to catch myself and heard snap, crackle, pop!!!
Six fractures and 3 surgeries.

OUCH...JAK

lorraine said...

@Jak-How horrible! I bet those little ones still remember your fall! The fact that you have kept your wonderful outlook on life, is an inspiration to me. Onward and upward....
