I'm sitting here crying after listening to "Underneath"-and I don't know why. The lyrics- and the heart wrenching beauty of Adam's voice touch the depths of my soul. I just wish I could give him a hug and say three words; "I understand, Adam." XO

Oh my goodness this song is heart wrenching. It is clear what Adam and those in the LBG community go through. I wish I could wave a magic wand and make it all go away. I wish more people could just stop the hate and love other human beings for their obvious traits that make them who they are. This song by far makes me think of all those I love who are up against daily hate! I hope this album opens the eyes of more people. It is our job Glamberts to have Adams back and push for more tolerance and support for this amazing man and his music;voice and obvious charisma! He so deserves it...

I think I stopped breathing for a while; quite tense but very powerful, Adam. I love this song, very poignant indeed. Will make another good movie title track. As always no one will be able to sing Underneath like that. Also will be an in synch piece, for an experienced ice-skater to bring out his/her dramatic twirls and jumps to this song and Adam's voice.

I need some help with itunes. This morning I changed it over to Australia to listen to snippets. Now I try to switch back to USA and it isn't working. Anyone not technically challenged like me,I would appreciate any advice so I can buy NCOE,thanks!

This song was made for Adam and all that suffer the fear and discrimination of being unique, different or living outside of the lines that are drawn by unenlightened, judgemental individuals that believe their way is the only way, forgetting that this country is made up of diverse people that are entitled to equal respect and freedom. The pain and isolation is in this album and so beautifully and heartbreakingly expressed in this gut wrenching song as well as Outlaws Of Love. I also see this song as well as Never Close Our Eyes being a sound track for a movie or in ice skating performances. Adam singing Underneath live will tear our hearts out and will be extremely powerful for those of us that are so connected to his reflective, ballad side. This song certainly grabbed me and evoked an emotional, physical response. Pass the Kleenex!

The wait is worth it! So many great songs on this long awaited Trespassing album. Underneath is deeply touching, as is Outlaws of Love and Never Close Our Eyes. Trespassing and Cuckoo gets my blood flowing and heart rate up. Naked Love and Choke Hold just more goodie gifts! Dying to know what Adam is feeling right now! He has to be so excited and filled with anticipation! I hope he'll make many videos off of this album!

OMG I love this song. There is nothing out there today that moves me like his voice, this melody, the lyrics. Even the production is well done with a little current day/even futuristic vibe - Pain like this is unfortunately timeless. Oh, Adam, we hear you and love you.

I can't believe how much I can relate to this song. I've been called the freak, the black sheep, the one that's out of place all my life. People wouldn't give me a chance, they judge me only for the way I looked and the way I expressed myself and not because of my personality. I love Adam Lambert! at first I only loved him for the music and his good looks, but when I started knowing him better I felt so connected to him. Thanks to him I learned that I don't need to try to fit in....I need to be my own self and in the way I'll find people that think like me!(which I had in u guys! and with my current friends) in other words love myself as I am. Ever since I discover him at 2009 my life has changed forever! I have friends now that are freaks like me and I love it! Another thing: The lyrics in this song are so touching to me because I live like that. Sometimes I need to pretend I'm happy when is obvious I'm not just because I don't want to ruin the mood. I have try to kill myself twice (that'a before I met Adam and I know now that is not the rigjt way to follow) Also I have been in some psycological treatments (I'm out know) I could go on and on! I thank God for giving the opportunity to discover Adam. He is my idol and ispiration! I will forever love him! He changed my life and the day I meet him he'll know. Sorry for being so extence this song just gives me so much memories.....

This is the second time I've encountered this kind of traumatic situations on internet. The first said, in no uncertain terms, she would not have been alive to write that particular comment if it had not been for Adam. There must be many many more. If this song doesn't tear your heart out and stomp on it, I don't know what can. It is obvious that this song is incredibly heartfelt and personal to Adam. It can apply to so many human situations, not only the LGBT community. I hope this song gets airplay as well. We need to request many songs on this album and get the depth and breadth of it out to the listening public. Just the singles are not enough. There is so much here. Each song is a poem, a novel, a treatise on life. What an incredible effort by Adam.

Underneath and OOL hits a chord in my heart and soul. More so Underneath. I'm in poodle of tears rights now. Truly Oscar worthy winning movie theme song. Underneath will break the records if it's used for a mega hit movie theme song. If such a thing happens then IMO move over Celine Dion with My Heart Will Go On for Titanic theme song.

It is so amazing with the snippets and songs we have heard from Adam's new album,as to how they touch people's hearts and souls. There are very few individuals in the music business today who write lyrics and perform songs the way Adam Lambert does. There is so much more to his music than just an energetic, upbeat, danceable tempo. There is depth, poignancy,
personal anguish, heartbreak, feelings of isolation and so many other emotions. TRESPASSING seems to be such a personal album and lets us into the depths of Adam's soul and the experiences he has faced throughout his life. When is the last time songs from an album so affected you, made you cry but also made you feel good? made you feel excited but also feel sad? made you want to dance but also just sit back and think, tell someone you love them unconditionally? I can't wait to get my copy of TRESPASSING and I know I will be listening to it every chance I get. I hope this becomes the album of the year.

Yea I do feel your sense of peace and you sound very happy. In my opinion, you would have found your way with or without knowing Adam, because you are basically a strong person; but Adam's passion, his voice and songs gave you that special direction to guide you. :)

Who wrote Underneath?

This song really holds up to repeated listening. At first I thought it was beautiful (of course) and cathartic, but it is becoming transformative and healing as well. This is an important song. I hope it somehow reaches a wide audience as it could be healing for many people.

so in love with Underneath ,and all Adam's songs..but this song is so beautiful..Adam puts so much feeling in the way he sings it..so thankful to be able to witness Adam and his beautiful voice and soul

@ fefa,So glad you joined us on this site and shared yourself with us. Adam inspires what is already in your inner being. I'm so glad you've found peace and happiness. None of us escape heartbreak in this lifetime and we have our times of darkness and struggle. I've lost a few friends in my lifetime that couldn't wait for the next chapters in their lives to unfold and time could have changed everything. I'm so glad you did. Now I can't imagine a world without Adam in it. I wonder what we're missing with all of the precious ones that didn't give life a chance. Adam is proof that the picture can change and we all have value and have the power to touch and give to others. You're a beautiful gift fefa! There's no telling what wonders await you!

@ Lam-my, I think the stock in Kleenex will go up if this song hits the airways. I'm still in a pool of hair gel. As Adam has said, "Glitter is dead".
