Adam Lambert 24/7 News

Last week before the album came out we were worried about sales and hoping he would at least debut at a good number at Billboards. He spent his first two days at no. 1 at itunes US, was no. 1 in Canada, Hungary, Finland, Newzealand. He is also holding steady in the top ten at Amazon. So please all those biting their nails saying oh he can't beat Adele, oh he is now #3 this is bad...keep in mind

1. Adam has no hit single on the radio and the singles he has released so far have not received much air play (have not written off NCOE btw)

2. Adam does not have the buzz he had after idol and some did not even know that his album was out this week.

3. Apart from GMA he has not had any major tv promos and though he has done a lot of print and radio interviews they don't usually translate to sales for artists so hopefully after idols and other gigs he will improve in sales.

We all want Adam to do well (except the trolls of course) but we all need some PERSPECTIVE. He spent two days on #1 which to me is brilliant and I am really hoping that his sales will receive a nice boost after today. Adele is a phenomenon, I am surprised she is still on top in so many countries I would have thought everyone in the world has her album by now.

Lets be POSITIVE and not start biting our nails too soon. He has a great album and is getting rave reviews. I think he will continue to sell steadily for weeks to come.

OT I don't want to appear negative, just asking if anyone hear knows if what I read somewhre else is true. Do the album bought off of AO count into this opening week sales. They are saying on another site they don't.

Who's biting their nails? I'm floating with happiness, the album is great. I don't read charts, thats one reason I am happy. Que sera que sera, it will or won't be a huge hit-so-? It's good, he's good, he's going to sell cds, he's going to sing with Queen. I doubt he's biting his nails, just beaming with pride.

This new album, no matter what the chart numbers are, is bringing Adam TONS of new publicity. The awareness level is much higher than before. Great reviews, mag covers, interntional support. I'm not going to panic over each sales total. I know it's all impportant, but I'm not going to let it drive me insane. I posted on the other thread about supporting NCOE because it's the official single. That's true, we should. But the bigger picture is making Trespassing a breakthrough album for Adam to put him on the next level. Support all the songs we can on ITunes, downloads, requests, etc.

@1:10 they have to be included I think the person was saying when they made the predictions they didn't take into account sales from AO.

This article says he'll perform songs (with an s) on Idol. I hope it's not an error.

The biting nails comment were from some people I have seen from this site and others who were being so negative it upset me :(

One went on and on about how DC was dropped and if Adam didn't sell well next week he would also be dropped which is nonsensical.

So much to look forward to, all the concerts and gigs he is doing and of course QUEEN!!!! Yes Adam "walk that walk like you don't give a f*ck" :D

Yay, thats true guys went in early this morning to download my itunes Trespassing and it is in deed No 1 on New Zealand itunes, so excited.
One more to download for my Grandson and then into town to make my purchases.

Could Trespassing be his first ever chart-topper?

Adam Lambert is on course to score his first ever US No 1.

His new album, Trespassing, looks set to claim the top spot of the Billboard 200 album chart in America. It is also currently riding high on the iTunes download chart.

Adam took to Twitter this week, saying: Wow!! #Trespassing is sitting nice and high on the itunes chart! What a great sight to wake-up to! Thank you all for checking it out!!"

The following day, upon seeing the album was still top of the charts, he tweeted: "Wow!!! Still #1 on iTunes?! AmaaaaZing."

Adam's previous album, For Your Entertainment, peaked at number three in the US and none of his singles have ever made the top spot.

The official chart will be announced 23 May. Do you think Adam will achieve a new career highlight this week?

Tresspassing is out in the UK on 2 July, a week before Adam begins a set of gigs with rock band Queen at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo in London.

I hope it's true that Adam will sing TWO songs tonight on Idol. Hope it's not just a rumor. NCOE and then one of the kick-butt songs. I don't care which one at this point. What other Idol alum has sung two songs on their return visit? Any of them? I don't know. Maybe Adam will be the first.

My husband who is a die hard 80's rocker, who by the way thinks Adam has one hell of a voice..keeps walking around the house singing..Never Close Our Eyes and Runnin ...and he asked me when Adam was going to tour, because he wants to go with me to see him!!!

BTW..Adam is here for the long run, he will be a Music Icon..

I hope Adam's performance moves the judges...they don't seem to react much (esp Steven Tyler). Can't wait to see his reaction.

I'm only here in Canada for a visit. As soon as I read here yesterday, I went to HMV at Queen's West by subway (have to learn how ASAP) to pick up ADAM's Trespassing which I've already ordered in US, so I can get the pass for the M & G on the 28th here since I will still be here.
I got two of the De Luxe which was at C$14.99 each(reg is $12.99). The clerk said that since I bought over $20, I may get Carrie Underwood's Blown Away for only $9.99. Well, I just said "Sorry I'm not into country."
so I guess this is how Carrie is getting more sales.

No one else has sang 2 songs. Coldplay is the only one I can think of, no other idol alum has.

Sales this week up to next week should not really be expected to be that good as planetary aspect is malefic and would only be over after first week of June.
Whatever, ADAM has some aces in his hands specifically his gigs with QUEEN. And I predict that will blow up and catapult ADAM into dizzying heights of success and recognition and his sales of Trespassing shall explode and gain millions of fans around the world. Hope that there's Olympic gig for QUEEN + ADAM! His route to success is unorthodox compared to others. ADAM rocks!

This is 4:04. It's not a bracelet but sort of neclace with ADAM's laminated Trespassing cover hanging as pass.
i was the only one there then another came in. I saw still a lot of CD's both the regular and De Luxe. Go and get yours. Don't hesitate. I don't know Toronto well but found my way. Good luck!

This is again 4:04 who is here in Toronto and got my pass for ADAM's M & G on the 28th here at HMV at 272 Queen West.
HMV will give only one pass for every sale even you buy more Trespassing CD. So, if you have company, each one should buy a piece to get each one a pass. GO! To me this is dream come true to meet ADAM that close. I'm in heaven anticipating.
