NCOE... entertaining, psychedelic, and symbolisms abound. It will appeal to the young who enjoy drama and action, the futuristic slant, as potrayed by the sci-fi enclosed glass cases and the popping of pills as food; also the delightful rainbow colours. These younger fans don't care for symbolisms nor need them to enjoy the exciting crisp video; in which Adam's voice is given top priority, great job there. As for me, I can't help but be affected by some deep symbolisms in the video; the most stark and spectacular is the gassing of the group. Adam himself inevitably too became symbolic; reminiscent of certain bygone catastrophies, and other contemporary ones as well; and also somewhat reflective of the present adversity he's facing. That was powerful, leaving little for imagination. Some suspense there, wondering how they could escape that. But he emerges triumphant as symbolised by the brilliant crimson jacket; red being the strongest colour in the light spectrum, conquers the symbolic blue. The dance sequence, however, could be more varied. But nothing falls flat with Adam. The bright crimson and yellow jacket and his intense look...very captivating. Going back to the earlier part of the video, a blue substance oozes out of Adam's hand, symbolising his emancipation from the clutch of his brainwashing captors. And so consequently, the symbolic blue gas fumigation at him had no effect anymore. LOL. By the way, I think I saw a close-up of Sauli's face, after the scrubbing scene. Here again I thought the group could express a little more of the revolutionary euphoria before running off to face their masked fumigators. All in, a rather fascinating interpretation of NCOE. One last thought...the people's eyes were wide-open and yet didn't see. Isn't this true of our indifference at times to the happenings around us when we fail or refuse to see. :)

It's the first No. 1-debuting title to fall out of the top 10 in its second week since the Dec. 3, 2011, chart, when Mac Miller's "Blue Slide Park" collapsed 1-24.

Thanks daydreamin. Hmmmm, the hatchet media are out to scalp Adam's successful album. I guess it'll be all over the media by now. Dreading my Twitter feed. :-(

I really hate it when the media make a big deal about that things like that (the drop in sales..)..And it isn't just Adam they target..I swear they just love to see ANYONE fail..or stumble...or have something to point out that they feel is negative or statistically significant...I am not too surprised that the album took a dive in a numbers, because all of us hard-core "OG Glamberts" pre-ordered the album, and bought extra's the first week..and I for one had to stop buying for a bit!!

This last weeks figures (I would suspect) represent the less hardcore among us..and probably those who are new fans..Its still quite respectable, and chances are it will level out there for awhile..It has yet to be debuted in some other countries..And has a long way to go before we know where it will ultimately end up. There are so many who still do not know who Adam is...or know that he has a new album out, or what GREAT music he has given us. AND there are so many potential fans yet to discover Adam. All over the world.

I'm just going to celebrate the man that Adam is..and his music..And know that he's going to be having a great year musically, and personally, and I suspect things will fall into place for him as this year, and next year move along. One thing I REALLY want to see is more primetime promo for him..Some daytime TV, some more night time TV..Although it sounds like he'll be heading to the UK for awhile, to prepare for the Queen shows, and do promo there, so chances are that won't happen for a little while yet...And I think an album can be critically acclaimed and still win awards. even if it isn't Adele or Gaga (or blessed with the sales numbers that they get)..which can spur on sales as well. I have discovered a lot of good music and albums around the time of the Grammys when so many varied singers and groups are highlighted at awards shows..

Never give up...Adam certainly hasn't, and neither will we!! And we have more singles coming out this year and into next year...so this is just the beginning...I think he has a good chance to be nominated for Pop Album of the year..The critics certainly think its that good...We just need the word to get out..AND THE MUSIC TO BE PLAYED ON THE RADIO...which would certainly help.........Just some thoughts...

I love this video, it is exactly what I thought it would be after seeing the first pictures! Wow, really creative idea! I think already the name of the song "Never close your eyes" tells that the video will be psychedelic. If you never close your eyes you are most likely a robot that can't think for yourself nor have feelings of your own. Awesome video!

Lam-my, you've done a great analyze. All those positive adjectives! I have also been staring at the close up of a dancer towards the end of the video. It looks like Sauli's head, but it might also be a dancer's head (Taylor?).

Cream, when it finally it finally comes to rest after pouring, rises to the top. Trespassing has yet to hit its stride, and before the end of the year 2012, it will reap all the accolades it deserves. Nothing will matter except that Adam's music will ignite and take off.

Thank you! Your thought about being a robot if one doesn't close their eyes is a reverse analogy of NCOE, interesting, original. And I actually thought some robotic dance moves/expressions might fit the video since the people appear brainwashed-robotic. So now NCOE has two beautiful videos to its name; the official sci-fi one and the Idol performance which I watch every day, like taking a vitamin, to be specific, vitamin A! Which by the way is essential for the eyes and growth. LOL. :)

Lam-my, vitamin A is really good. For me it's like taking a drug to watch Adam's videos or listen to his voice (although I've never used drugs). Need my "Adam drug" now... Already feeling betterer.. LOL!

Daydreamin: Perhaps, but Adam will forever have made history. Furthermore, he did it WITHOUT a single playing like crazy on radio, without being a WGWG and without wearing a huting shirt! He won his #1 with PURE talent.

Billboard has NEVER been pro-Adam. They were kinda forced to talk about his history making charting.

Everytime I went on Billboard 200 chart last week and clicked on Adam's Trespassing album, I would get a message that Billboard was revamping their site and that some functions did not work! HOWEVER, when clicking on #2 Adele's CD, there were absolutely no problems reaching her album page. Odd, wouldn't you say?

John Mayor would NEVER get the reception that Adam's fans gave him in Montreal yesterday. And, ultimately, that's what makes a great artist, his incredible music and his personality. And Adam is #1 in those 2 categories. It's just a question of time for all the homophobic newspapers and bloggers to have to recognize his amazing talent.

Trespassing has been out such a short time. It still hasn't been released in many countries, including big markets like Japan and the UK. I think the sales will eventually be very good. Just because an album doesn't stay on the top of the BB charts for weeks and weeks doesn't mean it's nto a success. We all know Adam is thrilled, and RCA must be very happy. International sales will carry this album to a very strong sales total.

And yes, 6:11, Adam did it simply by being the incredible talent that he is. Doesn't need a guitar or a plaid shirt, or even having his single played by five minutes.
He's doing it against ALL ODDS.

I really hope and believe you're right. In one previous interview Adam or RCA told they'll continue to promo new album until 2013 or so... I wonder where are all the people who bought his first album? Are there so many people who are happy with their illegal copies or have they changed opinion about his music? Or maybe they just don't know yet, because it is a long time since his first album...

It makes me so sad and ANGRY, that there are so many "institutions" or individuals whose main purpose is to make people fail, or fight against someone's success. What bad has Adam done to them???!!! Is it just because of his sexual orientation or is there something else too? In many countries that's not such a big deal (being gay).

I don't understand music business enough, so I think it's better for me like Jojo just enjoy my daily dose of Adam and spread the knowledge of him whenever possible :) I love to watch old videos too, because they are quite new to me.

Sorry album took such a big fall. I don't think Adam's community is supporting him, which does't surprise me. It must be jealousy, because it is a gay album.I wish Adam would shift to the middle of the road. All we hear is gay gay gay. Other artist aren't label straight straight straight. Why is this even mentioned? I was hoping this song would do it.Alot of those songs won't be played on radio. Why does the label put some of those songs on? Wishing Adam the best.

8:50: Adam's fans are supporting him like crazy. All the time, every day. He just needs for of them. I truly believe that people who say they don't like him have "chosen" not to like him regardless of whether they'd like his music or not. They've just made up their minds without listening to the music. It could be for many reasons. Adam's music isn't just gay-oriented. And NO NO NO I don't want Adam to become more middle of the road. Then he'd sound like every othere BORING singer out thre. Who wants that? Not Adam. Not me. Not his fans. I'm going to put NCOE on constant play today and help with the numbers. The label cannot dictate what gets played on the radio. The radio people determine that. The label can only promote and hope for the best.

Why then most album reviews are so positive and so many interviewers tell it's such a great album??

I understand that there are lots of people who don't like pop/dance (I am not a fan of mainstream music myself), but many people like it and Adam's music is so much better than that autotune-shit you hear these days. Those who value the great voice can listen more to the "dark" side.

If you watch any of his live performances, it's FAR from boring!

If Adam's music is boring then I'm a super model...lol...music is a matter of personal taste... I believe Adam himself said something to the effect that some people it like some don't...I think it kicks ass...I had given up on anything kind of mainstream music perfering to listen to old classic rock or pop...not sure there's too much difference...I recently took a road trip with my daughter...we don't like the same music so we take turns picking a cd...bet you can't guess what I picked over and over...well maybe you can...lol...thought she was gonna leave me by the side of the road...sorry back to my point...she never picked the same cd twice but I would have sworn we were listening to the same song over and over...boring...I know Adam's music isn't for everyone... noone's is but it's perfect for me...the video for NCOE is very shall we say in the now... and I believe it will be a big hit with the now generation...hopefully bringing some new fans to the Adam revolution...Renee

Who are you and why are you here?? If that is a genuine opinion that you have of Adam's music ("sucks and is boring") AND you are not some non-fan who jumped in here to just "diss, hit and run", which I VERY strongly suspect, then please tell me why you say that: Use.. your.. words. There is plenty of proof out there in the music world that you are wrong. Those who know music say it doesn't suck at all, nor is it boring.. Take the time to listen to Trespassing, the ENTIRE album, more than once, including the bonus tracks, and then come back here and tell us if you still think the music is boring and "sucks" (that word is so descriptive...and precise..BTW). Thank you.

Thank you! By the way, what you said about watching his old videos as if they were new, is never truer and even if you had actually watched them before; Adam changes up his songs, 5 to 10 times and they always sound different to me. :)

This NCOE video will appeal to the masses especially the young who definitely can identify with Adam who comes across as defiant against regimentation and takes control as to which direction he wants his life to go. I'm sure you know, surrounded by a large warm family, how defiant young people can be. The message of bullying comes across too as an underlying message in this sci-fi treatment. Very well done Adam!! Love your NCOE video and oooh that voice, like no other! :)
