Fair weather in Canada!! Yeah, Adam. These listings are cool and mean great things for Adamazing but ..... and I know I'm just being bitchy!!... who cares if he is close in sales to a country western singer??? .... different species entirely!!! Much more significant is the analysis in Rolling Stone that gave Adam 4 stars and Carrie U, 2.5. AND, he topped Adele, at least for a time. That is kick ass cuz he really respects her work.

Yesterday as I was making breakfast, Adam was mentioned on MSNBC as being the # 1 album on Billboard. They showed a clip of BTIKM and Alex Witt said “Let’s listen to a little of Adam” and they played it until the commercial. That is a good way to start the day for me.
I have been contributing to this site for over 3 years now I think…and have never really had trouble expressing how I feel, but I have to say it has been difficult for me to put into words how important Adam’s Trespassing album is. Some of you know that my son came out the year Adam was on Idol. He and his mom were there for me when I needed support….before I found PFLAG. Now I have taken a leadership role as an activist spurned on by the courage of my son and Leila’s “kid” who I feel speaks and sings for a whole generation of troubled souls. He has put music and voice to the feelings “Underneath” that many of the people I have come to know, experience. His songs tell about the feelings of those who think they don’t belong but he boldly tells the people who say “we don’t like when visitors come… Yeah, my ass! Wait ‘til ya get a load of me”. He tenderly tells about how difficult it is to come out to those you love, afraid of rejection and a breakdown in communication… “don’t think out loud ‘cuz once it’s out your mouth, can’t take it back”. ..and then of course, Outlaws of Love “tears all fall the same”. These songs are so important. In our community we lost another 17 year old last month to suicide. Music helps….songs help to soothe our souls and to energize our resolve. Seriously, I am so ready for “post gay” but we are not there yet. Adam is moving us FORWARD. He found out that “the ether I tapped into could be reality”. It is a big deal that he is the first openly gay rock star with a #1 album. Adam is the bravest of the brave. BRAVO to that!
Oh, yesterday I was driving down the street and had the window down. Some young people were outside talking and as I drove by with Trespassing blaring they gave me a thumbs up. I’ am not sure…but I think it was the song  I have to get another CD for our other car…wait, I need 2 more so I don’t have to keep bringing it in from the car to listen while I am working at the computer. Love to the Glamily,

Hope we get good clips of the New Music Live show that Adam is hosting. Wow, does he have a busy schedule or what? The #1s just keep piling up and there will be more!!! I laugh when I think of the "sophomore slump" that so many singers experience with their second album. Hahahahaha! Not so with our boy!

lmb, I love your post. It shows how personally Adam has touched so many lives, more than he'll ever know. His influence is just being felt and will continue to grow. He's a brave man. I'm so glad he has touched your family in such a positive way. Others have had similar stories about Adam's effect on their families.

I am reveling in the talent and beauty of Adam, knowing that so many others in the world know him and love him.

Love your post.Aside of the great artist that Adam is, things like that is what makes us feel so passionate about him. He really changes people's life in the best way possible.

The Marilyn Denis show is a talk show with a live audience and is very popular. CTV is Canada's largest English speaking channel.

Adam will also be interviewed by CBC's (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) excellent interviewer Jian Ghomeshi (Wednesday during his televised radio show "Qtv". He interviewed Adam two year ago and that interview has more than 120,000 views on YouTube.

lmb. Your words touch me as usual. You are doing a wonderful job, being there for these kids that need you, not least of all your own.
Maybe the time will come when we dont need extra support groups. It is wonderful how Adam has helped so many.There are times when I wonder why Adam gets under my skin so much except of course for the obvious, his beautiful voice, then I read your words and I know why.
