hmmm don't know what to think about this thing, don't really believe it right now. Why would TP make history or did I read it wrong? But I am all ears.

OMG I just saw this on twitter! OMG this needs to happen! Please please let Adam have this chance!!!!

The Grammys would please so many millions of people worldwide if they nominated and awarded Adam Lambert a Grammy for his incredible 2012 year with his amazing Billboard #1 TRESPASSING album as well as his global outreach with it in North and South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, South Africa and Oceania. And not to forget his critically acclaimed performances with QUEEN in London, UK and Eastern Europe as well as his own sold out shows worldwide.
with QUEEN and his Trespassing CD.

Isn't Ernest and Young keep track of voting tabulation? I don't think anyone knows who is nominated until Dec. 5th. True, he is the Grammys blogger; but only E&Y knows the result and its kept secret until 12/5. Does TSP deserve Grammy? IMO yes it does! Does he know it got nomination? No he doesn't and he is just like us wanting TSP make history.

Sorry about the repeated words in previous comment. Take this opportunity to add that Adam also broke the Pretty Little Liars twitter account when he performed and made a guest appearance on their Halloween show! And he's hosting VH1's DIVAs show! And he performed in support of equality. And he's just a damn nice guy who happens to sing like there's no tomorrow and pleases everybody's eyes in doing so :)!!!

I don't know why but I am getting an Adam for AI judge vibe here. Kill me later.

Love HOLD ON but also RUNNIN and TAKE BACK. They would all make great singles!

@theGrammys: Come on, please. Adam deserves this so much.

If Adam does get a Grammy nom I will feel over the moon happy. He deserves it. Although until we hear it for sure I am not going to start jumping up and down just yet. Please universe make it happen though!!!

is this his true twitter account? I don't know how to check. Too much BS going on lately.

I don't think the tweet about making history was referring to an Adam song, though I have an idea of which song he means, it was just the tweet that prompted Paula's tweet about Adam.

When he does refers to Adam, I think he's very blatantly hinting at a Best Pop Vocal Album nomination (#1 on Billboard). #category8 may be the biggest clue since the eighth category on the Grammy list is indeed Pop Vocal Album. Just look at last years list of nominees and winners and the category numbers here: http://www.grammy.com/nominees

Not that I'm implying it will be the same numbering this year, but it's more than a coincidence in my book.

Yes, this is his true twitter acct. I've been following Arjan Writes for a long time on Twitter. He's a great guy and an Adam Lambert fan, which gives him extra points in my book. :))

I don't think he was actually originally hinting at Adam when he mentioned "one Track making history" as it was a general comment..obviously with something in mind. And then someone tweeted him about hoping it was Adam...And he said he "has a good feeling about Adam being nominated.." because, like so many of Adam's fan, and many others in the Music Industry, he thinks Trespassing is an excellent Album..and hopefully Grammy-worthy. I personally think so...Radio play be damned.

Arjan has been the official Grammy blogger for awhile so watches music very closely. He KNOWS music. And if he thinks its a possibility that it could win best Pop Album, or at least get a Grammy nomination, then I'm going with that too!!

Waiting with the proverbial "bated breath" for the Grammy Nominations on Dec. 5th...and hoping to be very pleasantly surprised..although it wouldn't surprise me for Adam to get that nomination. The album is a great collection of music and deserves to be rewarded and acknowledged as the musical gem that it is. We already know what a treasure ADAM and his VOICE are!!

My other little private (pipe??) dream is that Adam and Queen perform at the Grammys on Feb. 10th...and I don't think its out of the range of possibility. Adam's schedule is clear at that time..No concerts happening in Feb. until Feb. 17th in Japan, at this point anyway.. I have absolutely NO reason to believe that will actually happen, but it would certainly qualify as the something that Shoshanna Stone, his UK publicist, says she is dying to "shout from the rooftops.." . I hope it happens ; )))))))) Because we would ALL be shouting that from OUR rooftops!

I believe the history making as Billboard #1 gives it clout for Grammy nom.
If this materializes, there is justice after all.
I never stopped praying for ADAM's recognition for no one deserves it more than him.
And Grammy nomination gives that justice.
And a win gives that absolute recognition.

GL I thought SS was talking about Adam being on the cover of Fiasco magazine I thought that was super cool but I like your pipe dream even better.

Anonymous said...

@9:10 PM I agree. Definitely looking at a possible Best Pop Vocal Album nomination. #category8 is very telling with the way you put it into context.

glitzylady said...

@Anon 9:39 PM
I like mine better too. I honestly don't believe the Fiasco magazine cover was the "shouting from the rooftops" event..but perhaps..And even if it WAS..I still like my idea : ))

@Anon 9:10 PM
I was writing my comment posted at 9:26 PM when you wrote your comment I honestly didn't copy yours! :))

@glitzylady

When Shoshanna Stone re "shout from the rooftops" said within two weeks, I remember counting that time, that it's got nothing to do with Grammy.
Hope you're right and my math is wrong.

I also have a good feeling about Adam's Grammy nom and win. In my mind's eye I see a resplendent Adam giving his love to his adoring global fandom. He does not say, "This is for all you haters", because in that moment, there will be none but love for Adam for his immeasurable gifts. atm

@ glitzylady....While we're just supposin' n wishin' it would be a nice birthday present. Yes?...JAK

I would assume that to be nominated for a Grammy, SOMEONE would have to be playing the music. Maybe Seattle is unlike other markets, I can tell you Adam Lambert is NOT being played on radio here. He's not on VH1 either, and he hasn't even been part of some of the awards shows. I really don't understand it, but you don't get a Grammy when people haven't heard your music. Yet, Taylor Swift's bubblegum music is played ad nauseam. There's just something not right about this whole thing.

@glitzylady

Somehow I missed hearing about Shoshanna's tweet you mentioned but I 100% hope and pray that Adam at least gets a Grammy nom for his amazing efforts with Trespasing CD. The "pipe dream" of Adam & Queen performing at the Grammys .... Well I think that would be the most absolute ultimate exciting performance I could ever imagine. I desperately want to see another Queenbert performance but for the Grammys? OMG. Please Universe, let this happen.

I'm just taking a wild guess here : ))) but guessing your comment was possibly directed to me??: re Seattle stations and Adam's music..since that's my radio market area. If not, I'll jump in here anyway: Nope, nada...on the radio play. And I am really aware of the radio play situation elsewhere in the US. It doesn't hurt to be optimistic tho... Awards are given based on excellence too, and not always dependent on radio play, from what I hear when it comes to the Grammys. Although THAT would help for sure. That topic (radio) is certainly a constant ongoing discussion here. I'm just hoping the Grammy committee and voters will consider rewarding deserving artists based on substance, artistic integrity, musical excellence..wonderful vocals in Adam's case..etc..and not just radio play based on the dictates of program directors or the "demographics" of the presumed radio audience targeted by the station. Either way, I'm rooting for Adam. !!!!! \0/

I can feel the vibe that Adam will be at the Grammy and will sing his heart and soul indeed!:)

Whether they like it or not, Adams name is historic !:)

Lets face it, Adam isn't likely to get any singles or songs of the year, based on how his singles have done on radio but the cd is a damn good cd, one of the best, and probably has a chance at a nomination.

Anonymous said...

10:36, I heard BTIKM once on the Top 40 station where I live. Nothing else.
So they think Adam will be nominated for best pop vocal? Which song?

Anonymous said...

@ Anon November 26, 2012 10:36 PM

Look into Esperanza's Spaulding's win over Justin Beiber... had many heard of her before her Grammy win, I'm thinking no.

Grammy has traditionally rewarded excellence, Pro... on the Con side, they have absolutely moved more towards being influenced by sales and chart position etc. (the way of the world, heavy sigh), but still... Esperanza Spaulding! :)

Trying not to get too excited, but my gosh how wonderful for Adam if he did get nominated. It would be so uplifting if someone who is truly talented did get nominated over some of these overrated artist. Not all of them are overrated, but most of them are for sure and we all know who they are.

Hope this guy knows what he is talking about!

6:18, Your Esperanza Spaulding example makes me feel a lot better. She was and is NOT a household name and yet she was awarded with a Grammy. This bodes well for Adam, who IS a known name, and who HAS had a #1 album. Sure, the multi-million sales are not there, but the Grammys does reward quality. Ths is what sets the Grammys apart from other awards.
My heart will be racing until Dec. 5. I think there is a chance.
