Fellow Fans, I've been thinking: Every thing about this man (Adam, of course) is so damn entertaining, unique and talented that the music industry doesn't know what to do with him. They can't even find a Grammy category to describe him. He is beyond "commercial" because he is also a real, vulnerable human being that the public absolutely loves. I think the reason so many older people (especially women) feel so protective and respectful about him is because we have lived long enough to know "the real deal" when we see it. Note how Brian May and Roger and Cyndi Lauper adore and love performing with him and how Madonna sent him flowers and chose him to sing her song for the Diva program. I am so happy about him and his unique talent and I am excited to see the space the industry moves over and creates for him. Beverly

@JAK
I have a total movie buff husband who loves watching old classic movies...So I know a lot of this stuff by default!!! Not giving away the answer tho....

@Beverly
I agree...He is absolutely a treasure..If it was just his voice I love, I suspect I wouldn't be here blogging about him. He is a multi-talented and gifted human being..and a genuinely nice guy...The world is beginning to get that...And yes, I truly believe the American "popular" music industry doesn't quite "get" him yet either. But I have ceased to worry about that. He's well on his way to world-wide superstardom, with or without them....

Yes, Beverly, you got it exactly right. There is so much about him that defies categorizing. I do think that his older fan "get" him in a far deeper way than the typical music fan does. There is nothing about him that is same-old or common. Slowly but surely, though, some media doors are opening. Interviewers love him. His rising visibility defies his so-so record sales. His personaltiy is larger than life. Other celebrities are beginning to see him as "one of them," not an outsider or a wanna-be. He is indeed the real deal. He is truly a treasure. And his star is rising.

JAK, James Cagney in "White Heat" as Cody Jarrett. 1949. Right?

Someone tweeted today that the buildup to the VH1 DIVAS with ADAM LAMBERT is huge! I hope that Adam will be like he was during radio interviews in Toronto with Ghomeshi, i.e. eloquent, funny, great fashion sense, intelligent, with hair to die for (not to high!)
and pleasing to the eyes (well, that latter he always is).

Vote in all categories on Page 1.
Hit ENTER to get to Page 2.
Fill out Page 2 and just hit ENTER when you're done. It told me that my vote was counted!!!!

So just hit ENTER to register your vote. There is no SUBMIT button or some of us. VOTE and spread the word!

ALOT of fantastic coverage for this event already. annoyed that Rolling Stones is saying that Adam got his fans to stuff theballot box, as if people did not vote for that for album of the year. The people have spoken.

I like this outfit. I'm not gonna like the red pants and top hat what he most likely is gonna be wearing.

If you look at many of the individuals who are in the music business today, they are so lacking in many of the qualities that we love and admire in Adam. He is so very talented vocally... no lip synching or auto-tuning for him. As we have seen over and over again during interviews, Adam is articulate, charming, smart, witty,humble and honest in his remarks. He isn't afraid to express himself through his music and his fashion. His message of love, understanding, acceptance and respect appeals to his audience of all ages and backgrounds. Those who have worked with him or interviewed him always comment about how nice he is, real, dedicated to his music and his fans. And as someone previously said, Adam is so unique, so talented that the music industry just doesn't know how to handle him, what to do with him. But we as his loyal fans, will support and love him no matter what he does in his career because we have known from day one what a special person Adam Lambert is. TSC

@ DRG...correct...you win!

It's funny how movie lines stick in your head....

"Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn!"

"We're gonna need a bigger boat!"

"She rescues him right back!"

"Here's lookin' at you kid!"

"Toto, we're not in Kansas anymore."

"Louie (Louis) this may be the beginning of a beautiful friendship."

"Snakes, why'd it have to be snakes?"

"Mrs. Robinson, you're trying to seduce me."

"....and cancel Christmas!"

How many can you get?
