These gorgeous ladies have Adam's smile :). So happy that Adam Lambert and his fans are making a difference in Africa and in the US with The Trevor Project, GLAAD, Donors' Choose, etc. Love, love that guy for his music first and foremost but as much for his great heart.

I grew up in a barrio with a water pump next to where a fragrant lime tree grew. That was where we bathed, laundered clothes, fetched our drinking water. When the cool, clear water gushed out with each pump, and my small self was right under its mouth, especially after a cavorting in the dusty street, the cool cascade refreshed my thirsty, sweaty self like no wash ever did. Now, I can't imagine what a water pump could mean to people who have no water near, or only fetid, stagnant water nearby. I am so heartened for all the good Adam's water project's fans has brought that I am inspired to do my share. atm

I received my email and it felt so good to see that the money I put in with so many Adam fans have saved lives by bringing clean water. So great that a charity actually shows you the progress!

This seemed like a wonderful charity when Adam first asked for donations and I added it to our every year list. I get regular emails telling of the progress made....how nice to see the smiling face of someone who now has fresh clean water readily available. I am old enough to remember visiting farming family members who relied on a backyard pump for water. A pail and dipper if you wanted a drink.....huge pots and teakettles on an iron wood burning stove for hot water for washing up in a basin of water and the joy of an actual bath......on Saturday night , in a washtub
in the kitchen with maybe 3 inches of water in it.

No, I did not live in pioneer days....just the early 40's in rural America!............I loved visiting on those farms, but was glad I was a city girl!........JAK

@.JAK
My grandparents still didn't have running water in late 50's....my mean boy cousin used wait till us girls were almost to the door with the water bucket then trip us ...,one day we caught a little snake and put him in the bucket instead of water ..,, when he stuck his foot out my sister throw thr snake on him ..., it didn't hurt him and back then I was mad it didn't ... now he's a minster so maybe it was a good lesson after all ...rose petal

@ rose petal

Perhaps he learned "do unto others"........JAK. : )

As I recall all of my boy cousins were mean! I was the only girl and 5 years younger. I'm surprised I lived to grow up!

Thankyou tea! Going to check mine now.For 323,000, there must be many wells and many lives saved and made healthier and easier. Such a great cause and great idea from Adam.

I also as a child had my time bathing in a big metal wash tub on Wed, and Sat. night, my grandmother heating water on her wood stove which was placed in front of an oil burning heater. She also curled my hair with a curling iron that also was heated on the wood stove. i can still bring up the scent of burned hair from my memory bank. This also was in the 1940s in the upper peninsula of Michigan at my grandmother's house. Back in Chicago where I lived we had the modern conveniences which I learned to appreciate and still do. After donating to Charity Water I became very aware of not wasting water, thinking of those that had to travel so far for one bucket of water. Adam should be so proud!

Whilst I applaud your motives, and would agree in theory that the treatment of the animals at the fair (if that is true, I have never seen or read anything about it, didn't know these fairs exists, although I do know dogs are sometimes eaten, and they have snake festivals and unfortunately the link doesn't give any proof to back up the claims) should be stopped immediately, and all cases of animal cruelty be looked into.
But I don't really understand why we, the west feel we have the right to dictate to others what they should and shouldn't be eating.
Eating dogs in theory is no different to eating cows, horses, rabbits, pigeons, guinea pigs, sqirrels, crocodiles, ostriches, monkeys. All of which are eaten by some people in the world.

@HK I've just recently learned of this torture myself and are shocked. There is literally hundreds of links on this and videos on y-tube that this does exist. It is just so horrific what they do purposely that the whole world is finally getting involved. I relize this is not the place to talk about this, but it's all true.

I have compassion for animals maltreated but my concern is more for creatures with soul and it's destination.

I believe that animals have souls, and just bc. something is "tradition" doesnt make it right. . . . Adamluv
