I saw that and had a big smile.
This year's crop of contestants are quite a talented lot.
So many are amazing singers, it's going to be very competitive.
I hope they choose the best for finalists.

I feel the opposite. I watched tad bit of it tonight. It totally put me to sleep. Set it on my DVR to watch it later with fast forward button on my remote control. I can't wait to see Adam on my TV.

Where's the clip?

There are usually some good singers on American Idol. Unfortunately I think their song choice ruins it for some of them and the best singer doesn't necessarily win (and we know that well).

It was just a very brief showing of the picture actually..and one of David Archuletta, who was the answer to the question, by the way... The auditions tonight were in Utah... hence the trivia question.

I've been watching Idol and this season is much better than last season. Very talented singers and it's moving at a faster pace.

I saw the short clip on AI with Adam and KA & I got excited to see Adam on my TV. It was a good opportunity to tell my family it is Adam's birthday!

I'll never forget that moment when Kris's name was announced and Adam gave him that wonderful hug. Adam was so classy.

That picture of the moment Adam didn't win Idol is tough to watch. That's when I really stopped following the show. Such a travesty, despite the fact that Adam has done well since. I think the win would have opened even more doors for him.

just really miss that look

Since watching Idol after Season 8 with Adam, I can't help but compare all the contestants to his vocal talent and amazing stage presence. And no one since then has even come close to him. Even though Adam did not officially win, he is a winner in so many ways in the eyes of his loyal fans and others in the music business. Looking forward to seeing any clips of Adam in the Randy Jackson Idol workshop and hoping Adam will perform either solo or with one of the finalists as he did with Angie Miller.

That's a long list of possible songs for Hollywood week. Hope we don't see the same songs like in the past. Would be interesting to see someone take on one of Adam's songs.

I was thinking the same, no one is singing Adams songs. No one can handle the vocal range like he does. Hard to compare to the best.

The "runner up" getting all excited and hugging the "Official winner" while he is saying, "Adam deserves this", and Ryan Seacrest was trying to keep him from saying that; but I heard him say it anyway, and so did most of the audience; I agreed with him; but all water under the bridge now. It was funny, yet heartbreaking at the time.

They both showed so much class and continued their respect for each other.

Both young men seem to be doing very good in pursuing their careers. Good luck to both men taking their own wonderful paths.

I hope Adam gets to sing a lot of songs; to show them how it is done. I would be so thrilled.

I wonder how Adam feels about all the praise and Birthday wishes that he has been receiving. I bet he feels so good. I just love seeing him happy; he certainly deserves it. Besides, as Adam once sang, "Love Wins Over Glamour".

On the part of Idol I watched last night; seemed as though they were letting everyone go through. Most were pretty good.

Some so called professional singers don't sound as good a some of these people; but, that's life; it is not always about the singing.

Still, no one even came close to the chops of Adam Lambert. But, as Santana told Curt in Glee, during his auditions; "what did you expect".

What is Chris Ellen doing now? I never her anything.

Exactly my feelings.

Kris and Adam were and are both very classy men. Although Adam is my favorite :)) as you might be able to tell, I think Kris is talented as well. And continues to make a living singing and performing. I think that's all either of them were hoping for when they auditioned for Idol. Just to get the opportunity to be seen and to be able to make music. They're both winners in that respect.

Personally, I'm over the results of the finale Season 8 (mostly...). At the time it was pretty tough to watch.. and some words were being flung at the TV at my house and not just by me. Not all of those **words** (bleeeep!) were appropriate for a PG audience :)) But I wasn't really surprised either. I was mentally prepared for it, from things I'd been seeing here and there, but emotionally, no. My heart was sad for Adam just a little bit... It just didn't seem fair.. but then life is often not fair..

And it doesn't really matter in the whole scheme of things (I keep telling myself...:))) And I have to say, that one of my absolute FAVORITE moments of my MANY in my years of being a staunch Adam Lambert fan, was the moment he appeared on the stage to sing "Beth"..

It was truly an "OMG!!! Look at him!!!" moment I was so proud of him , for so many reasons. So the finale moments of the finale fade into the background for me. Because Adam singing "Beth" is the moment that is the one I remember and cherish as the moment Adam was able to be himself.... he was so beautiful, both his glittery "here I am in all my glory" appearance and his voice. He was truly the star of the show that night..and all the other nights..

Ooops, getting carried away here.. Just my thoughts on Adam, Kris, and the Idol Finale.

your sentiments almost mirror mine Glitzy on the final.....I had been saying for weeks that Kris would win, he's just everything the Idol demographic goes for do I think he should have won? No, although I did really like him on the show. And once Gokey was voted off I thought all his votes would go to Kris...but a little part of me wonders whether those listening parties in Little Rock really did make the difference.

And Beth was just stunning, wish he could have done the whole thing...and no kiss:)

So juvenile to continue to make jokes about who is Kris Allen. Adam would never do something like that yet the people ylwho praise Adam for his kindness have no problem being mean.

Many think coming in second is better anyhow. They have all the benefits of winning without all the constraints of winning.

Adam has flourished. No need to continue to bash Kris or Idol.

No one is bashing Kris; not one person. People just expressing their admiration for Adam; and also wishing the best for both. Thought all the remarks were very respectful for both men. If the truth hurts; oh well!

6:40, did you miss the "who is standing next to Adam" and Chris Ellen comments? That's bashing.

I have the same sentiment as @glitzylady and @HK fan somehow Im feeling Kris could win it because he was never in the bottom and is the right cookie cutter mold of Idol's audience.
When the winner was announced, my jaws dropped and was so stunned the whole night I was like a zombie.
But it could have been worse if Gokey was it.

This is Adam Lambert fan site. So without any bashing or bad words it should be okay to say (here) that Adam is in a league of his own in so many ways compared to those two and imo to any of Am Idol contestants throughout the years.

This is Adam Lambert fan site, I'm here because of Adam. When I state that imo Adam is better singer/performer than Mr.XYZ, better looking and has a far better voice and an extraordinary talent to use that unique voice, that is not bashing Mr.XYZ or taking anything away from his talent.

A long time ago I said (here on this site) that Adam was far better looking than some random guy (a model) in the same pic with him - and I got jumped on fiercely for saying that! My opinion did not say the other guy was not good looking, too... just that my preference, my #1 is Adam!
