Poor Janice Muppet, LOL.
Oops, just found out it is rabbit fur. Rabbit fur that has been felted just like they do with sheep wool. We don't know if the rabbit fur was collected humanely or not.
Website where the hat is sold:
DRESSCAMP

It's so funny ...
Adam looks very serious in all the photos from this event, and then he speaks and is such a goofball!
Some wild MarcoMarco fashions ... and some great bodies to look at! Adam must have had a blast.
Love this man!

p.s. I don't think you need to worry about the rabbits. Had a cousin, along with her "fur" group, that used the fur from her Angora rabbits to knit stuff. All they did is use a special brush/comb to collect the fur. Her rabbits loved it.
Good one Adam - Muppet Skin! The cute girl reporter didn't miss a beat - bought the Muppet Skin completely..haha She loves Adam but who in the world wouldn't!
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it is most likely the rabbit fur is from dead rabbits. Unlike Laura's knitting cousin, combed angora fur is not used in felted hats. If the fur came from China or Australia it was definitely from a hide that the fur was then removed from. Felted hats can also be made from trapped beaver fur. You can confirm this info on hat making websites or rabbit farming websites.
Life can be so damn depressing...and there are so many horrible things happening in the world... etc etc, but do we really need to be so serious on a fan site, too... *sigh*
Dang it, Maggie! Not going to let me get away with an anecdotal, shaky statement on rabbit fur based on one cousin and her friends? What kind of fan commenter are you?!! Haha, just kidding!
Yes, Vagrant, I've been a vegetarian for years yet I always buy leather shoes because they are just so much better than synthetic. It's the nature of the planet we're on. We do our best, and shouldn't sweat the small stuff.

Laura... its much more serious than we've even thought. Adam publicly admitted... shamelessly - for the whole world to hear... that he actually (gasp) "gutted a muppet". Yes folks, Adam did indeed gut a poor little muppet! Just exactly which muppet has yet to be determined.
Regardless, as Glamberts we simply cannot allow this to go unaddressed. Why, surely in this wide world there is some Muppet advocacy group out there which will step up and site outrage at this flagrant act of fashion aggression.
If not Laura... I suggest you pay due penance for your rabbit oversight and start one immediately.
(lolololol...;-D)
In all seriousness... I do hope that the hat is actually felt (as I suspect it may be?) and not the bunny fur version. As most of us know, some designs offer faux versions of the original furs.
I prefer to think this might well be the case. :)))
