I am sure they were so excited that he could make the Milan concert. I hope they didn't keep him up too late. They must have been part of the crowd that was shouting 'Bravo' and whistling and cheering him on. They seem like a very nice group of guys. Anne Marie

Yea soo happy Adam pulled it off; it could well have been the reverse; see that's why I call him Sifu but at the same time, Sifu/s are very humble because they have been through hell and back. In this case it shows Adam's immune system is right on track for him to bounce back; I was quite awed that he could still scale Mt. Everest but Brian and Roger were close by his side and that makes helluva difference...mind over matter.
By the way, the spectacular, special lighting photography of the Queen unveiling with Adam right beneath it with his signature hand-gloved thrust, is a split-second capture!

Lawdy... Adam's gorgeousness dwarfs the entire group. Whew. I mean.... What is it with this man?

One of the things that struck me during this Milan concert, was the amount of flashing smiles, it was almost good enough for a toothpaste commercial. He seemed to be making up for not being able to hit all the usual high notes, by smiling, laughing and all over the stage with his dancing and strutting. He was on fire. Have you noticed that he doesn't mess with his ear thingy any more, but now he drags the mic stand all over the stage, sometimes for no reason at all, except to do something with his hands, and sometimes to include the stand with his performance. We need to give that mic stand a name, it is part of the show. Freddie did a lot of that too. just sayin

Glad you mentioned that you noticed he's not playing with his ear thingy as much and now he's dragging the mic stand around or just holding it to use as a prop for the song he's singing. I've noticed the same thing and was wondering about it. I know Freddie did that all the time too.

Of course, he could've just gotten new ear thingys that work better? Anyway, spectacular performance by all in Milan...Adam, Queen and the audience!

Freddie just carried the upper half of the mic stand around. Paul whatsisname carried the whole thing around. Sorta like a child with a security blanket. I'd rather Adam fiddled with his earpieces than either.

The last guy on the side of Adam is pretty cute too!

Seen it many, many times with major rock groups & their singers for many years, now. Seems to accompany quite a bit of confidence in on-stage performance. As the confidence goes up... the rock moves do too. :))

According to Brian May...Freddie's full mic stand broke in one of their early practice sessions. And, due to Freddie's engrossment in the music... The "rock star" kicked in and he carried around anyway. That shorter mic became his trademark "thing". Man, he made it look so cool, didn't he? Fond memories... :)

Still in all... the mic thing seems to be an indicator that the singer is seriously into his performance. Part of the expressionism, I suppose.

And when done by Adam I think it's a hot as Blazes. *Phew!*

It really bothered me when Adam was always messing with his ear piece, I don't know why it took so long to get some that fit properly, or it might just have been a habit, because he did it all through all his previous tours
I think the mic stand has just taken the place of twiddling with the ear piece. He probably didn't even realize he was doing it. It has gotten to the point , with the mic stand I am always watching to see what he is going to do with it next, kinda funny.
I am completely fascinated with the man, and totally involved in his actions as well as his beautiful voice, and the way he walks. He is the most talented man I have ever seen perform on stage. He said once , his "happy place" is on stage. He proves that every time he steps onto the stage.

Adam isn't "playing" with his ear piece because it doesn't fit or for something to do, he does that to adjust the sound. Playing with it less means he has a good sound tech.

It's the same thing as his gesturing to the sound person off stage. Adam does much less of that now too. I remember reading in an interview that a wide vocal range is more difficult and you need a very experienced sound tech.

Yes, it's great that Adam is only fiddling with his ear pieces from time to time. Queen's sound techs must excellent.

Do you think Adam is still in Italy with his "collection"? He does not always travel with the Queen -members when he has special friends around. Those Italian buddies are very good-looking and Adam seems so enjoy their company a lot, so they must be very special people (his inner circle -friends).

I imagine he is with Queen. He is still sick and needs every bit of rest he can get in order to b able to sing at next performance. He was not 100% in Milan.
