I know lol, luckily there is usually an explanation with it.

"Word" in response just means "you got that right!"
Adam is agreeing that the new music is "WOW".......

It's not easy having to learn "new English" at my age.

In my opinion, and understanding, the way Adam is using
"Word" means recognition and appreciation; also, thanks and approval. Using this word, is not new. Teenagers in some cultures used this in greeting each other, or showing approval. I used to hear some kids saying, "Word to your Mama", meaning, you are great; and your Mama raised you right", or great approval of your actions!

At least that's how I used to interpret it. A teenager now would probably laugh at me and say; "you have got it all wrong"!

I don't use twitter; so what I would like to know is, if Adam tweet a compliment to someone; do they always see an incoming tweet? Is there a signal each time you receive a tweet, especially if a person gets so many? Thanks for your answer in advance.

My reason for asking, is maybe when Adam tweets a compliment about, or to someone and the person does not respond, that they might not see it, is that possible?

Whenever you re-tweet (resend someone else's tweet) or respond to a tweet, it includes the original tweeter's username. Anytime someone sends a tweet with your username you are notified and it appears in your feed.

Thank you so much for your reply; that explains a lot to me.

To me that means that everyone that Adam tweets congratulations to and praise as he always does is pretty rude and ego driven if they don't respond to him.

I guess if I am not on twitter myself; I would not be able to see the tweets; even though I can type in his twitter name and read the tweets that he sends; which I do.

So unless someone that is able to read Adam's responses posts them on here; we will never know if he gets responses; I guess that is correct!

Sorting thru a twitter feed has got to be a time consuming job for celebrities. Will they even recognize the real person from the people who use copycat and sound or look alike names. I don't fault anyone for not responding to things I'd like to see responded too. It just ain't high on my nit pickin' list. If they do, good, if they don't, keep moving forward.

If you follow Adam on Twitter his tweets will show on your feed. Twitter is fun when Adam is doing something high profile as his fans will become very active.

11:44 AM, LOL, we don't even know who has already heard the single. Give it a chance for the single to be released and then the album to be released. I'm sure we will see many reviews then. We also need to wait to see what Warner does to push radio play once the single is released. Hold your horses.

@anon 12:12, I wouldn't necessarily call someone who has played to sold out stadiums across the world singing lead for Queen as "off the market". Plus, it's all about the music. WB has obviously pushed Adam's new music to radio, so they seem to believe the material is strong enough. I believe in it too, as well as in the new team behind Adam :)

One could argue that not so many years ago Pharrell, as a solo artist, not a producer, was not marketable to the Pop / Top 40 radio marketplace and wouldn't be a crossover sensation... Hozier is not necessarily easily marketed to Top 40 / Pop radio ... nor is George Ezra whose single is doing well right now. Top 40/Pop radio's history, event more recent history, is full of Pop radio anomalies and unexpected successes. We shouldn't feed the trolls, I firmly believe that, but we can disseminate some information.

Olly Murs is a former X factor contestant, is 30 YEARS OLD, and is seeing U.S. Chart success. He's had a good strong single, he made an impact, but wasn't necessarily destined, many would argue, for U.S. chart success at one time.

Andy Grammar, who I happen to catch promoting his new single on GMA this morning, is 31 YEARS OLD, and has really had to keep his nose to the grindstone to further his radio success and success in general. He is doing well. His new single will hit I think, it has the stuff of Pop Radeio, Top 40 radio, success. Good for Andy, I personally think he's great. He doesn't have a massive label, but he has had the right songs to get good radio play. Lots of factors go into radio play... I wouldn't count Adam Lambert out of having the right equation this time around. And unlike many others, Adam has incredibly marketable talents in areas separate from those required for Pop Radio success.

I posted above. I do absolutely agree with you about feeding the trolls. My comments were intended to offer a little bit of context that perhaps would allay some of the concerns real fans might have. The new single dropping & its success does carry a lot on it's shoulders, indeed, but there's no need, imho, and no value, in being anything but optimistic... but I do know, from reading & lurking here, that many get anxious, and so my comments were more to cite example that might be encouraging... I do actually agree with you about troll bait 'tho. :)

I think there are two appropriate ways to respond to negative comments/trolls:

- Completely ignore

or

- Respond reasonably without losing focus on big picture. That approach can be very calming and even educational for the whole fandom.

Why don't you address some of the examples cited above? Why don't you challenge the thinking behind those comments above?

You just snark, why don't you intelligently address the notion that, just like the fans of any one of those artists listed above, Adam Lambert fans have reason to be cautiously optimistic? Make a well reasoned, well thought out case as to why the fans of any one of those artists listed above (or at least Hozier & George Ezra) should not expect their artist to do well on charts or radio, despite the fact that they are not really immediately appealing to the radio target demographic? Ed Sheeran was hardly teeny bopper and heart throb material, he had talent & perseverance and one good hit to send him on his way.

Gabi, I disagree. The only two "appropriate" ways to respond are to delete or ignore. Responding reasonably just satisfies or justifies your need to respond. The fandom doesn't need to be calmed or educated by your response. The troll is still happy they poked the hornet's nest and got a response.

A pretty big DJ I believe in LA as already said wow. As said its a great pop record. Every thing in me says this single will do well. The alb is going to be remarkable.
Carrie U had a no. 1 album few weeks ago with 94,000 and she not very world wide. Not huge nos. she gets a lot of promotion being on every country award show.
Adam is very marketable just needed the right producers and label. He got it. WM is a big label very respected. I did not see the troll comments but don't you know they are going to crawl here. Most likely lol. They don't even believe what they say they are just here to upset the apple cart. They get a kick out of it. As someone said on a TV show the bigger you get the more they will attack that celeb try to bring them down. Haters will hate that's what they do. They want responses if they are ignored hopefully they will have nothing but the best is removal of comments.
Don't buy into their BS This is Adams time and he going to do great. He got the right producers, and right label and that's so what he needed.
