Speaking to the media here, he said: "Depending on where you're from in the world, certain things may seem controversial to you or not, but my intention is not to provoke - it's to reflect, to be honest and to be real."
He also insisted preparations for the show were no different to how he has prepared for other TV performances. He said: "Over the past five years, whenever I do a TV performance, I work very carefully with the producer and with my team to figure out what's appropriate for the programme so that's what we did for this." He adds that the show tomorrow was created "especially for Singapore".

Adam covered his bases quite deftly. At one time, he DID do controversial things onstage on purpose. And he admits that. But he goes on to say that he has evolved since then, matured, changed his world view.

Adam hasn't removed all sexuality from his performances. He's a very sexy and he knows it and shows it. But he has learned which lines not to cross. I look back on the GNT shows and see some of the things he did onstage then that he would never do now. He's every bit as sexy as he was then, but in a different way. I loved him back then and I do now. And, I LOVE listening to him talk.
