Nothing against Lady Gaga wanting to pay tribute to David Bowie. What I regret is Adam missed the chance of a lifetime to be able to pay a heartfelt tribute to his all-time Mentor in the arts, singing, androgyny, fashion, thinking different. He loved David Bowie and I think this spiritual love would have translated into a Bowie tribute his son would remember a long long time. What a miss for the world, especially his son, to be able to experience Adam's mastery performing David Bowie's works of art on stage at its epitome posthumously. Look how Adam practically brought Freddie Mercury back to life with Queen, so deeply, Brian wept.

Adam does not burn bridges, for sure.

It's really too bad that Nile's original idea of having multiple artists do the Bowie tribute never came to be. Ada would surely have been a part of it. Nile adores him. Gaga is the current golden girl and got the spotlight this time.

I predict that years from now, Adam will attend a tribute concert performed in his honor. It will include big stars from this era and from the eras to come who will celebrate his impact on the music industry.

David Bowie's son was calling it exactly as he saw it. That didn't sound like dissing to me.
I have not seen Lady Gaga's performance. That is only because I have no interest in her. As for this controversy about what David Bowie's son said, if this is his reaction to what he expected to be a tribute to his father and his music, then I believe him implicitly that is was about mostly about Gaga.

Entertainers are often the pawns of the people with the power in the music business and it's possible they had the biggest decision in telling her what they wanted from her. Until I know she was given carte blanche I say "No" to your question of anyone dissing anyone.

Sorry, but I thought Gaga's performance was stunning. I also didn't think Adam's tweet was anything but complimentary. He loves Gaga. Should more artists have been involved in the tribute....probably. David Bowie was a performance art entertainer, and not necessarily a great vocalist. In fact Adam is a far better vocalist than Bowie. But Bowie's contributions go beyond vocal chops. Gaga is a great vocalist who is also a performance art entertainer.. I can see why they chose her to do the medley. What I found myself wondering was WHY wasn't Adam at the awards show, why wasn't he performing there, why was nothing on his album nominated, and what does he have to do to get any recognition after his third album and the Queen collaboration? There are much lesser artists who get accolades. I just don't get it.
