I thought Gaga was the wrong person for the David Bowie tribute.. Not at all like him.. I would have preferred a number of singers doing different songs without the costumes and make up.. Just singing.. He was worthy of much CLASS. IMHO he didn't get much in this tribute..
Adam has praised Tori Kelly before, that doesn't mean he's not a great singer.. IMHO she is an outstanding female pop singer..
Adam is an outstanding, every type of genre singer ,from pop to rock and roll to show tunes to opera...the best of everything IMO. He's not taking away from himself
easter day
I too liked Tori, she has a good voice. Adam's tribute to Bowie was far better at the Clive Davis party. Lady Gaga tried to cover too many songs, and it didn't work. Not sure who put that act together, her or Niles. A couple of songs would have been better. Most of his songs are well known, so people would have enjoyed 2 songs sung through Been even better if she had sung one song and then Adam sing one song.
Bieber's act just shows again that he cannot sing or dance.
Adele's song made me cringe. She seemed to be off key, and not comfortable singing the song. I never did get her much anyway. I thought a lot of fuss for not much talent. I guess her voice is quite different to most singers, and people tend to go for different.
Just watched up to 9PM ... hubby wanted to watch something else & since ADAM wasn't performing I said sure ... didn't care to watch anyway ... no ADAM ... BORING!!

Adam found the only nice thing to say about Gaga's tribute, he liked the beginning with the technology on her face, that was before she started singing. LOL
Gaga was good, under the circumstances.... but I agree with Anne Marie, there was just too many Bowie songs jammed into such a short time...made it seem hectic and overworked... a bit nerve-wracking.
BTW.. I read online that there were some sound problems during Beiber and Adele's performances, that evidently affected their singing. I wondered at the time why Beiber was sounding and acting so muted (I'm not a fan of his BTW). Adele seemed a bit tentative and uncomfortable and actually that pitch-perfect singer was uncharacteristicly off-key a bit. It turns out that they weren't hearing themselves properly... and it's really hard to sing on key if you can't hear your voice. I guess their ear plugs were on the fritz or something.
Just watched a few video clips from David Bowie Tribute on Grammys ... must say Gaga was the wrong singer for that segment ... she seemed too frantic .. I don't know ... just kinda 'meh' ... JMO

I thought Lady Gaga's performance was good but included too many songs. I agree with Melody Latimer .... a number of singers singing different songs of Bowie's would have been better.
Don't think Gaga likes sharing the spotlight ... IMO!

Lady Gaga shared the spotlight with Adam & Queen.
No, actually Adam and Queen shared the spotlight with Gaga. It was THEIR show!
Yes, it was a QAL concert in Sydney. Adam, Queen & Lady Gaga were on the stage together, sharing the spotlight. :-)
