I've heard these phrases used in describing Adam's singing..."soaring falsetto", "vocal acrobatics"...both of which are not accurate but may have a miniscule truth in them. I've heard Adam say, a long time ago that he seldom uses his falsetto and as for acrobatics, well, that belongs with the circus.

So Adam is ranked 3rd. Rankings are arbitrary; like in this case, the first two named had a head-start based on total sales to date. Based on sheer talent, creativity, voice, satge performance, world renown...the rankings would swing towards Adam as No. 1.

Adam was featured several times on the American idol show that was on this evening. A very good emotional show.

Not also was Simon Cowell's standing ovation "rare." It was the ONLY one he granted during his time as judge on AI. BetsyWas, nice to hear that Adam got some mention on AI tonight!!!

Finally and for the first time and the last, AI could not get Adam; his ship has sailed.

Not meaning to diminish Kelly or Carrie at all, but as been said many times, they were on AI when people were still actually buying CDs. The change from that has affected all singers everywhere.

American Idol show tonight gave Adam lots of face time with interview and performance clips. It was a really interesting look back on conception, format, judges and judging, contestants and how the show evolved. Funny to see Ryan Seacrest at the beginning of it all. Best of all, for me, was Adam - he acknowledged his Glamberts.
