choons.... What? Have you never been "crumbly" in the morning?
I love Adam's description.. so apt... almost child-like. Reminds me of my son when he was about three. We were living in Libya (North Africa) then (in the early 1960's). Every time I put his new wool sweater on him, he would immediately remove it. Irritated, I demanded why. He complained..."IT HAS CAMELS IN IT!"
Although he had never actually "felt" a camel, he had seen plenty.... and they certainly DO look.... ROUGH AND SCRATCHY! But he didn't know those words...so he used "camel"!
Re: My comment above -- I did not mean to imply that Adam didn't have the "vocabulary" to describe his "morning voice".
Actually, I was admiring his free-wheeling and imaginative use of "crumbling" in a situation where it's not commonly used---making his statement much more vivid, alive and fanciful!
Bravo, Adam, you make life more interesting. Don't ever stop "playing" with words.
