What is the "symbolism" of pink flamingos? It seems to relate to being gay... but why? Just wondering.
It's supposed to be 'flaming gay sex'. I have no idea what that means and not sure I want to know.

The pink flamingo thing has morphed a little in recent years. Pink flamingos have long been associated with "tackiness." A cheap decoration that "not-so-affluent" people might put in their front yard. It's a jokey thing that's been a laugh forever. The color pink is stereotypically a feminine color and has been associated with being gay. So pink flamingos are now a "gay thing." I love how Adam uses them in TwoFux. Unapologetic and fun.
Makes sense, Dee R Gee... "tacky" was the only word that came to my mind in relation to "pink flamingos"....
