Great "Unofficial" Review! Queen + Adam Lambert Concert Dallas  on 8-4-17 "Adam Lambert Is A ROCKSTAR.." By @dgoolsbeeblog on Facebook

Note: Photos below are from the Dallas Concert at American Airlines Center on August 4, 2017, posted by American Airlines Center on Twitter LINK HERE for more!

Some QUOTES from the blog post on Facebook, with more below the photos:

"We'll get this out of the way right off: Adam Lambert ain't no Freddie Mercury. "No shit," Lambert told the crowd at his Aug. 4 performance with the venerable glam rock band Queen at Dallas' American Airlines Center.[ ....] And it doesn't matter one damned bit."

"I was extremely impressed by Lambert. He has a spectacular voice, and also being gay, like Mercury, has the attitude to really shine in this role. And Lambert is a ROCK STAR in a way that few performers are today."

It's a mutually beneficial partnership. Without each other, it's highly unlikely either Queen or Lambert would be headlining a major arena tour. Together, the combination is magic. I don't go see a lot of "legacy" bands. (I'd prefer to remember them in their prime rather than as senior citizens.) But of the ones I have seen, Queen is the rare exception -- a legacy act that is as good or better than it was in its heyday. Much of the credit for that goes to Lambert, but the years have been kind to May and Taylor, too, and both still sing well and are still strong instrumentalists.
Lambert could have owned this show, but both him and the band made sure to feature May and Taylor, too. At one point, even Taylor's drum set was moved to the top of the neck of the guitar-shaped stage to put the elder percussionist in the spotlight.
"Rhapsody" opened with Lambert's voice soaring and him a shadow bathed in a stream of light, then gave way to video, with the iconic "black heads" of Queen's second album cover and Mercury carrying the song. Although the video was interesting, I would have preferred to see and hear more of Lambert on "Rhapsody." It's Mercury and Queen's signature piece, but I would like to see how Adam puts his stamp on it.
I was extremely impressed by Lambert. He has a spectacular voice, and also being gay, like Mercury, has the attitude to really shine in this role. And Lambert is a ROCK STAR in a way that few performers are today. I would hope that either his relationship with Queen matures to make it more HIS band, or that he can find a strong, talented rock band of his own to front. As a solo artist, Lambert has mostly been stuck recording Idol-style, danceable pop tunes. Yes, he's successful at that, too, but his potential is so much greater. He should eventually be by far the biggest star of the Idol alumni, and he's such a talent that it would be a disappointment if that *doesn't* happen.

My thoughts exactly! He's a rockstar for this time!

Yes-s-s-s-s! But the writer was wrong about Adam singing more of Bo-Rap... he certainly sang all of the beginning section...more than the previous tour, and of course the middle section had always been pre-recorded, even with Freddie at the helm. Only the ending saw Freddie and Adam exchanging lines (Adam won, IMO!)

What a run this tour has been! Accolades by the ton! Lots of visibility for Adam. Now a window of time before QAL 2. Hope we get some news about Adam's new music SOON!
