I'm kinda disappointed in this photo....it's really not his best look, IMO.

Considering all the breathtakingly handsome photos of him....and all the rest that will be taken during his lifetime.....I would rank this one only about 6 or 7 on a scale of 10!

I agree!! I think this photo makes ADAM look younger & not so gruff as some of the other photos ... JMO!! Trying to think of a caption for my collection .. he has a questioning look here ... I like it!! ADAM must too since he chose it!!

Kind of an odd photo choice IMO. It's not real glamorous or "pretty." But it shows Adam as just a regular guy. Well, he can NEVER be just a regular guy, but.....

I like this photo. Adam looks very natural and young.

Speaking for myself, I think this is a sweet photo of Adam. As others have said, natural and youthful. Innocent even. And a bit shy, yet unafraid to look us (and life) directly in the eyes.

In spite of the fact that Adam is often so sexy, bold, fearless, direct, in his photos and his outward persona, and on stage, he strikes me as sometimes shy, and always sweet, soft spoken when chatting personally with fans, and quite often self-effacing. And yes, always humble and grateful for the opportunities in his life.

In an interview recently, speaking of his new music and the direction it is taking, he called it more "organic", with an "emotional" component that hasn't been explored in his music before.

Perhaps this photo spoke to him of his new, upcoming music. And this is perhaps how he currently wishes to present himself for his "Era 4". Adam unadorned (no make-up), Adam as he is naturally on the outside as well as the inside. Simply himself.

That's what I see in this photo...

Each of us sees with different eyes.......

But I can't help comparing this photo with the more recent newer thread here showing identical black and white and color photos of him......and there's just NO comparison, IMO.

Those photos ALSO show him as "simply himself"... no makeup...a very relaxed, natural and straightforward expression on his face....just a beautiful man...NOT a glamor shot.

And, yes, I realize that those other photos are from 2015, but they simply show what's possible in 2018, since Adam is at least as handsome now...maybe more.

I agree, Nanbert. The latest photos posted on 24/7 of Adam are far more flattering than this one .... and I don't think there are any photos of Adam where he's not wearing at least a little makeup on his face (not eyes), except the photos where he's in bed (just my observation of many, many photos). However, Adam chose this photo so he's obviously pleased with it. :-)

The most mystifying part is WHY Adam picked this photo.......he seems a bit tentative and unsure here, rather awkwardly posed, washed out(over exposed photo), and somewhat "fragile".

Is he going for "waif-like" with this photo?

Oh well...it's HIS face, and I guess he can do what he wants with it....but this photo certainly won't help win a "handsomest" man/singer/actor/american/whatever contest...for sure.

I think he's just playing with our heads!....and then sitting back and chuckling at our consternation......all we "mother hens" ruffling our feathers and cluck-clucking over a silly photo!

Why else would he follow this photo with the splendid black/white and colored ones he posted almost immediately after?

That's what I'll use for my caption!! "How's THIS??" It looks like he's asking a question or mulling over an idea .. sly little fox!!!
